We are a group of 17 people with the intention of eating a chinoise for a friend's birthday. Very comfortable chinoise and excellent meat. Unfortunately the problems already start on the service. Professionally they have a lot to improve, both in terms of their approach towards the customer and the actual service. Very poor and also rude. Then at the time of payment they charged us 50Fr per person for chinoise, even though on the card the price was 45Fr per person (all you want). Out of 17 people, 2 eat à la carte and they pay their own, of the remaining 15, 1 person paid his share since he did not consume alcohol and clearly the remaining 13 took care of the birthday party's costs. 1270.20 francs of account to be divided among 13 people. So if math is not an option, the portion to be paid per person is 98Fr. Even though we still paid 100Fr per people. And once again they demonstrate that they don't know how to do their job. In any case we paid 1300Fr and they still have the nerve to tell us that we didn't pay the bill in full. 5Fr. x 13 people = 65Fr (extra typed) What to say? We will definitely never return! And with all due respect we now understand the bad publicity given by other people who did not recommend your restaurant to us.

Excellent restaurant. The price of the dishes is absolutely in line with the quality of the food offered. Starters, first courses, desserts - they have always been delicious and the portions are also more than sufficient. The restaurant itself is located next to the river and therefore offers the possibility of digesting the delicious meal you have just eaten, walking through the streets next to the river. There are enough parking spaces, which should not be underestimated. A personal tip, it's kangaroo meat! We were surprised by how good it is!

Ate here at least once every time you stay in Ticino. Never had a bad experience. All dishes highly recommended. My personal favorite dish is the gnocchi allo zafferano 😋

Top food, top staff, top ambience, everything was top! Very very very recommended. From the decor to the staff to the dessert, everything is simply fantastic. There were 4 of us there spontaneously, the restaurant was practically full and they organized a place for us, thank you very much! All four of us couldn't fault this restaurant at all. Oh, I would love to live near this restaurant! Apart from the fact that the staff is incredibly personable and friendly, and apart from the fact that it is so incredibly cozy there - if you like saffron, then you have to (!) try the gnocchi...! To start we had a "Ticino platter" with bruschetta, and there was also a sliced ​​stroganoff with rice - it was a really tasty meal across the board. We really enjoy being there and completely forget about time. Gladly again! We always leave with a very big grin - thank you, dear Costa Azzurra team!

An oasis in a desert of tourist trap eating establishments, and well worth a short walk from the town center. This warm, family-run restaurant was wonderful in every respect. We both ordered the three-course meal, which we highly recommend. Call ahead for a same-day reservation, and eat on the terrace if the weather permits.

Gute Bewirtung und tolles Essen an gemütlicher Lage.

Das Restaurant wurde mir von der Pension Florida in Ascona empfohlen. 10 Gehminuten, sollte sich lohnen, habe Bewertungen konsultiert und diese waren ja mehrheitlich gut! Allerdings hatte ich auch gelesen, dass Bedienung lange und zum Teil auch sehr unaufmerksam sei. Das kann ich bestätigen. Es gab sehr lange Wartezeiten. Nur um die Rechnung zu verlangen, dauerte es gute 15 Minuten, bis sich auf mein Winken jemand vom Personal angesprochen fühlte, meistens war eh keine Person im Raum oder eben gleich wieder weg. Es wirkte etwas unorganisiert. Das Essen aber war gut, ich bestellte das Menu, 3 Auswshlmöglichkeiten pro Gang, Preis 42 Franken, glaube ich, als Vorspeise bestellte ich einen Crevettencocktail. Der war gut, aber die Sauce zu viel und zu süss für meinen Geschmack. Hauptspeise war Schweinspiccata mit Tomatenspaghetti. War köstlich. Als Dessert Crème brûlée, es wäre als Abweichung auch panna cotta dringelegen. Aufgefallen ist mir auch, dass der zugewiesene Platz sehr abseits und dunkel war, quasi im Gebäudegebälke. Auf der anderen Seite Richtung Maggia wäre es heller und sicher auch aussichtsreicher gewesen. Werde wohl höchstens bei schönem Wetter wieder kommen und wenn sich Corona verzogen hat...

Sehr gute Küche und "auch" offene Weine.. Hier stimmen Qualität, Zubereitung und Portion. In einer Mischung aus modernem und rustikalem Ambiente wird man kompetent und freundlich bedient. Allerdings sind die Preise dafür auch recht hoch..

Wir waren zum 3. Male hier unser feines Nachtessen abzuholen (Corona =Take away). Das Essen war jedesmal perfekt und super fein! Danke an Hr. Burkhalter und seinem Team für Qualität auch in diesen schweren Zeiten.

Das Restaurant am Maggia-Ufer ist nicht nur im Sommer, wo man draussen sitzen kann zu empfehlen, sondern kann auch in der kalten Jahreszeit überzeugen. Die Innenräume wurden etwas aufgefrischt und präsentieren sich einladend und gemütlich.Die Kalbsleber mit Rösti war köstlich und gut verdaulich, was auf die Verwendung von wenig, aber gutem Fett schliessen lässt, das Stroganoff mit Basilikum-Risotto war wie immer exzellent. Auch das Affogato al Caffè entsprach den Erwartungen und konnte überzeugen.Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich, die Preise sind angemessen. Wir werden deshalb wie bisher regelmässig vorbeikommen.

Gemütliche Atmosphäre direkt am Fussweg entlang der Maggia. Super freundliches Personal, Top Speisequalität zu angenehmen gehobenen Preisen.

Waren gerade hier mit unserem Baby, um etwas zu trinken und danach zu essen! Wurden weggeschickt wie der letzte Dreck! Keine Begrüssung sondern nur ein: was wollen Sie? Wir sind voll! Sind schwer enttäuscht, da wir schon oft hier waren!Aber das war das letzte Mal!

Erneut sind wir wieder in das Costa Azzurra eingekehrt. Das Ambiente und das Essen sind einfach sehr gut. Für deutsche Verhältnisse sind die Preise zwar leicht überhöht aber die Qualität spricht für sich. Gerne wieder. Übrigens: Unbedingt reservieren!

Il posto si presenta molto carino come pure molto bella l'atmosfera.Come da titolo la selvaggina era molto buona e servita bene, come pure i contorni e le salse accanto.Insomma, sembra quasi tutto perfetto da 5 su 5, ma il posto ha un solo enorme difetto: le porzioni, e questo lo ritengo un difetto molto grave, soprattutto in un posto dove non si paga poco.Sono completamente d'accordo che se voglio ingozzarmi vado in altri posti dove posso mangiare fino a scoppiare e non in un posto che ritengo raffinato, però davvero, porzioni assolutamente scandalose.Il mio entrecôte sembrava una mezza porzione (forse anche meno) mentre lo sminuzzato della mia compagna era davvero un mestolino, ripeto, tutto più che ottimo, ma davvero molto poco. Senza contare il pane portato in tavola, due fette di numero per due persone. Lasciate perdere la scarsissima scelta di dolci (pochissimi e fatti malissimo e assolutamente non buoni) come pure il vino, il meno costoso costa quanto un pasto.Peccato davvero, la cucina è ottima, basterebbe aumentare le porzioni per rendere il posto perfetto.

Lors de notre passage à Locarno, nous y avons mangé un soir. Accueil plutôt sympathique mais repas clairement infâme ! Nous avons commandé deux menus différents, pas un meilleur que l’autre. Je vous conseille de passer votre chemin ...

Eigentlich wollten wir von Ascona nach Tegna laufen, weil es uns aber zu weit war und außerdem der Durst so groß, sind wir im Costa Azzura eingekehrt. Zur Mittagszeit war es nicht sehr voll, wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und die Speisen waren sehr gut. Da wir jetzt wissen, dass es dieses Restaurant gibt, kommen wir gerne wieder.

Wir waren 2.5 Wochen in den Ferien im Tessin, wir assen jeden Tag in einem anderen Restaurant. Wir erfuhren nirgens so eine unfreundliche Bedienung während unseren Ferien. Schon beim betreten fühlt man sich nicht willkommen, man wird nicht einmal begrüsst. Getränke werden einem einfach auf den Tisch gestellt, jeder muss sich seine Getränke selbst an seinen Platz nehmen. Beim abräumen hat ein Kellner nur gesagt, " fertig"?. Es wird nicht einmal gefragt ob alles in Ordnung war. Wir werden bestimmt nicht wieder dort essen.

Cibo ottimo e buona location. Non è la prima volta che ci andiamo e siamo sempre stati bene. Purtroppo ieri sera alla nostra domanda del perché dopo un’ora non ci era ancora stata servita la cena, la risposta del cameriere è stata decisamente scortese e polemica. Direi proprio fuori luogo. Peccato perché la cortesia e la gentilezza verso l’ospite è fondamentale come biglietto da visita. Ce ne siamo andati amareggiati ma fiduciosi che si sia trattato di un singolo episodio.
