Crêperie Intermezzo in Zug

Small but nice. We always get a place, even with a baby and stroller. You always feel good.

I was at Intermezzo on Saturday February 24th, 2024. The crepes were very tasty with interesting combinations. The staff served us very friendly, we felt welcome and will definitely come back Alexandra Lis

Service was unpleasant at best and rude at times. The crepes were simply bad, covered with an industrial brown sauce. It is a rare thing to eat a bad crepe in a tense and unpleasant atmosphere but at Intermezzo, this is what one gets. We left after the first crepe and crossed the street to go to Speck, a truly clean place with lovely staff, warm service and delicious food.

18-Feb-2024: After the first visit in 2023 (see below) we decided to give Intermezzo another try as we were passing through. We previously checked online to see whether they'd be open, and it said the place is open till 6pm. We arrived around 4:15pm. A friendly lady who seemed to be the manager informed us that they had an event to prepare for and that they are closed. This time there was a label on the door informing clients. The manager was very courteous and told us the best is go call ahead of time to check whether they had any special occasions. Apparently this happens on weekends every now and then. She apologised and offered us a free Brownie to make up. Even though we were unlucky again, I would recommend visiting this Crêperie. Just make sure to call prior to your visit. Hopefully the owner will also try to notify people via Google whenever they have an event coming up. 2023: I went to the place on Sunday at around 2:30pm. Per the data online the place was open. When I arrived one of the staff told me they had already closed since 2pm. I looked around and there was no sign that would change their regular opening hours... even both doors (front and back) had the writing that they were open on Sunday from 9am to 6pm. Why was I sent away? Not cool...

We came here without planning. It was the only restaurant near the old town, open and have a table for lunch. We were happy that there are seats available. It is a great restaurant with very friendly staff to help people. They treated our kids very well. They do not mind the kids made table messy. They offer changing table (as a parent of newborn, it is so great!). All dishes we tried are so delicious: crepes and spaghetti. There is a corner with toys and Lego for kids!

Was there today, January 14th, 2024, on my birthday. It was so bitter when I was given a piece of cake and a birthday song at the table. You're doing it so well, we're always happy to come back to you❤️.

A really wonderful little place that we discovered by chance. Delicious desserts, crepes in all sorts of well-known and unusual variations. Attentive service, relaxed audience. I really like the inclusive concept and it is implemented here in a particularly calm manner. We'd love to come back.

A place where you can always get something delicious and homemade to eat. The food was very fine and creative (you can't get it anywhere else) and the staff and location were very friendly, homely and uncomplicated. What more do you want! We'd love to come back.

Mulled wine was really good. Crepe is ok but doesn't go well with all fillings, e.g. teriyaki salmon would go better with rice, has too much sauce for a crepe.

Great concept, friendly service and very good food. Definitely a reason to come back here on our next visit to Zug

We spontaneously went here for Saturday brunch. Crepes were amazing, coffee was good and coffee schnapps was perfect for colder days. We sat outside on sunny day with our dog, it was so nice and cozy. Service was very friendly too.

Unfortunately, here too you can't get a seat without a reservation.

Crêperie Intermezzo is an "Inclusive Employer" meaning that at least half of the staff has a handicap that keeps them from joining the regular workforce. The service and food has been good every time I've been here. The onion soup is great as are the crêpes. There is a play area for the kids that is in the back and away from most of the dinners.

The crepe is really good and well prepared. A bit overpriced but this is Switzerland…

The best crepes and galettes in town! Everything is always freshly prepared. Family restaurant, small and fine.

Kitchen closes at 4:45 p.m. But we weren't informed about this until we got comfortable... Sad surprise.

Friendly staff - food average but good

Crepe was delicious. There is a nice play area for children at the back of the café. However, only 3 stars because the service is very unfriendly. Especially the slim lady with dark hair. Unfortunately, the cappuccino also tasted very strange.

Good and cozy breakfast. Special crepes that are too special for me personally. There is a milk alternative (oat milk), which I find very positive. The service was sometimes not so attentive when you ran out of drinks or wanted to order something. But I didn't expect that, as this restaurant is successfully pursuing an integration project.

What a great cafe. There are really big cups for coffee and tea here. You won't get this in any other restaurant. The food was very tasty and the service was very attentive and friendly. Thank you. We will be back.

We had a really great break at Intermezzo today. There were delicious crepes. Runa Jost (learner) gave us great advice and served us very well. Our dog was also offered fresh water. So this place is also dog friendly. ❤️ For all Zug residents and non-Zug residents, I recommend eating crepes here!

We sat down here for a later lunch. We enjoyed the crepes and various creations. Even if one or the other combination is not exceptionally special (Burratta with tomatoes and co.). The soup as a starter was delicious, the pasta dish of the day was fine but not outstanding. On the whole we had a nice and good meal and were all satisfied. Price and performance are right. 👍 However, we seemed to have had a bad day because the service was rather brisk, unfriendly and we forgot a dish. We found it particularly nice that this is a location that has very special skills and abilities (😉). And you can buy the dough mix locally.

Crepes with Nutella, a classic, I won't grow out of it. Friendly atmosphere, see you again soon.

A great creperie in the heart of Zug's old town. And people with disabilities have a chance at a great job here. I was there with 11 holiday guests and my support team from Insieme Cerebral Graubünden. We liked it and the crepes are very tasty.

Cool social concept. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly and attentive. Good selection of sweet and salty delicacies. Stylish furnishings and various outdoor spaces. Bus stop in front of the door & parking spaces are nearby.

While the crepe was tasty, the service was completely unsanitary. You would think people making your food right in front of your face would take extra care to not make you gag while cooking your food. I watched the cook who was just on her phone cut a banana without gloves or washing her hands before placing it on my crepe. Furthermore she began coughing over our food while it was cooking. In the midst of a pandemic it is alarming that the employees are not being more cautious.

There are delicious hot chocolates to drink and delicious cakes.

There are restaurants... and restaurants. I find the Intermezzo concept of working with disabled people more than worthy of praise and support. And anyone who thinks that quality suffers as a result is wrong. Had a salty crepe with pulled pork, and what can I say: it was just awesome. If you don't know it, you should get to know it!

There were ants in the maple syrup. Staff was slightly unfriendly and didn't make a special effort. The food did not meet my expectations.

Been here twice. Once for a business meeting and once for leisure. The same waiter served us who was very polite and friendly. My German is broken and he was polite and helpful in responding slowly. The food is good whether having pastries or their crêpes. I had a savour beef Bolognese crepe which is very flavoursome and delicious. I would recommend trying something you haven't had before here as the cook is good. Seating is good even when busy we got an outside table with blankets overlooking the nice hotel opposite. Highly recommend.

I especially liked the fact that they employed someone with down syndrom, as a waitress. Our crêpe had way too much honey on it. I mean, the crêpe practically drowned in honey! Next time I will tell them to serve it on the side. Other than that the food and coffee was very good.

bad place. the prices are clearly inflated. inattentive waiters. My husband's order was not brought at all. My order was mixed up. The children didn’t eat the pancakes and left hungry.

Tasty crepes! We had beef bolognese crepes for savoury and chocolate sauce and banana crepes for dessert. Both are good and very friendly staffs too.

Stopped in for a cup of coffee and pastry this morning. Greeted awkwardly with being told that they are done serving food, until 11:30. I’m never a fan of being told what a cafe can not do first thing when walking in the door. When I shared that all I wanted was a coffee and croissant the gentleman shared that they can do that. He was nice enough at the end but I left feeling that my business was an interruption in their day. The cafe looked clean and the food smelled good.

A wonderful concept that has to do with inclusion and is run by people who have something other than coal in mind. And where fine things come to the table. A rare pearl in Zug...
