Unfortunately, the quality doesn't justify the price here. 44 CHF for 2x hot chocolate and 2 crepes is a lot, but unfortunately the taste doesn't blow your mind either. Service goes like this, we had to wait about 25 minutes until everything was there.

Nice service, but 5.- for a mediocre scoop, just one taste.

Disappointed, 16 francs for a crepe with Nutella and a crepe with a bit of ham and cheese that was almost drowned in fat. Never again. Paid a total of 32 francs for 2 loveless crepes without drinks. Such a disgrace. And 23.50 for a seasonal specialty. Sorry, but that's embarrassing. And this whistling device where you can get the food didn't work either. Too bad 😒🤦🏻‍♂️

I chose the simple vanilla Ice cream, and a coffee. Firstly with a minimal queue, it took over 30mins to get served. The ice-cream had a grainy texture to it. The coffee was nothing special. The servers seemed completely disinterested in being there.

Ice cream could be improved... little taste... subjective... We took 2 cups with 2 same flavors of ice cream...cost 24chf... Even though the written price was 8.50chf per tub.....we asked if the price was right?!?!?...

Ice cream in a cup very expensive for a tiny portion. The staff hardly speaks German and charged us a price that was far too high. But ice cream tastes good and portions in the Cornet are ok.

The late macchiato and cappuccino were good. The frozen crepe was delicious but the ice cream was too melted, so the dessert could not be enjoyed properly. The vanilla ice cream had the consistency and flavor of the ice cream that was that of a fast food soft serve. In general it was not very sweet and was delicious but I would not repeat the experience.

Unfortunately it's now far too expensive for my budget. My friend, who was the first customer to bring me the seasonal crepe this morning, was happy with her tomato/feta crepe. However, I missed the honey in my seasonal crepes and otherwise the crepes were relatively bland :( But extremely friendly service!

A very expensive meeting. Coffee 5 francs, hot chocolate 9 francs. In the morning there is brunch - 13 francs. Pancakes 1 piece minimum 11 francs.

Very rude staff. We visited the afternoon of 1st October. My daughter was inspecting the card that detailed the content of each ice cream on the bar when the male staff member literally snatched it away from her without any word of apology. She literally had her finger on it inspecting the ingredients and her nose about 30cm from it with me stood there too. But still he just grabbed it! I literally have never had such rude service from any shop anywhere in the world ever before. I told him he had bad manners but he couldn't care less.

Nice ambience, delicious food and drinks. Unfortunately, it's always more expensive... :( . We can no longer afford it in the long term, so we switch to other ice cream parlors in Bern, which are more than 40% cheaper...

Unfortunately not recommended. Unfortunately, the 'owner' or the manager was a bit unfriendly and the ice cream was rather mediocre. We don't need that when we're on vacation and therefore can't recommend this cafe.

This managed to be the most expensive ice cream of our lives and also one of the worst. Perhaps the sorbet are better. One of my boys had the raspberry, and it was very good, but the chocolate doesn't taste like chocolate, and the coconut hardly had any flavour. The waffle cones are quite good, though. 33.50chf for four ice creams, two flavours each.

Absolutely horrible owner! Before we even ordered we asked if they took cards and they said yes. We ordered and got our ice cream to then be told their system was down. We tried paying 7 different times and each time it didn’t go through. Owner said we could go and then proceeded to chase us 5 minutes later through the streets. We are truly shocked and most definitely will not be back!

Beware credit card machine doesn’t work, they will make you get cash. It took us 30 minutes to find money exchange store. Lost a lot of time for ice cream that’s not worth it. Bad business!!!!

Extremely long waiting times, we waited 25 minutes for an iced coffee and 2 crepes. Crepes (14.-) were actually tasty but hardly topped. I then went back to the counter to get a little more filling, which was then reluctantly given to me. It doesn't have to be anymore.

The crepes and drinks available here are great. As is the ice cream. It is a small place, has 3 people staff, and as stated the product is great. Service is very friendly also. But the slowest I have ever seen. So do not be in a rush when visiting. They do have free guest WiFi.

I left 14 francs for a crepe with caramel sauce and salt, extortionate if you ask me. I'm happy there's a shop in Bern that pays so much attention to the origin of its ingredients and products. However, 14 francs is too much for a single crepe served on a paper plate. There are better places for a quick snack. It should be noted that this was my second visit to Cuckoo, the first time I had a hair in my crepe. A bit petty on my part, but it shouldn't happen...

Ice cream was too watery and not very tasty. There were no more noodle cakes. There was no decaffeinated coffee. All in all too overpriced! There are definitely better gelaterias nearby.

Refreshing raspberry and passion fruit are highly recommended!!! The staff is super friendly. If you eat it with a cone, add 0.5 francs!! If you order S, it's 1 flavor for 5 francs, but the staff gives you 2 flavors!!! There is a restroom and it is clean!!!

A very good café in the center of the old town of Bern. The staff is friendly. The food is delicious. You can sit inside or outside. It is also possible to take the food with you. The saffron ice cream is very unusual and delicious. I'm happy with everything.

Also for me i would not go back. FIRST: It has already been said here a few times, the service was terrible and it wasn‘t even full. A lady took my order (1 crepe and 2 ice cream) two other employees seem to be standing behind the counter laughing and talking (no harm in that) BUT they really could have started to make my crepe because the lady who took my order told me it would take around 10 mins… and voila! It took 2 mins for my coffee and 15 mins for the crepe. SECOND: i have never paid so much for a Crêpe this small and boring. I had the „vegan“ chocolate. It cost 14 Swiss Francs (compared to a nearby Crêperie, this is almost twice the price). With this money you only get a crepe with chocolate. I asked if they had nuts or banana (vegan right?!) but nope. The Menu was pretty boring and i really should have gotten the street style crepe 😩 i mean for this price it was self service. Don‘t believe the hype about the ice cream. They are good but not thaaaat good. We had the Chocolate and Caramel - bad choice. So overall, after this experience we definitely will not go back and no, we wouldn‘t recommend it either.

We discovered this place by chance yesterday. There was only one table left. A short time later we were asked whether we had already decided on something. Our order was: 1× mineral, 1x Nidlekuchen, 1x ice cream. Only then did we see that it was actually self-service. We were all the more surprised that the lady brought us two glasses. You rarely experience that anymore and we will recommend you and definitely come back.

As fate would sometimes have it... we were in the mood for a crepe and happened to pass by cuckoo a few minutes later. Luckily for us, we were seated straight away and all ordered the crepe with cheese and ham. It was very tasty and you ate for a long time afterwards! :) The latte macchiato was also very tasty and not too strong. Great little shop that I will definitely visit again! :)

When I was in the old town again, I saw this small but nice restaurant and wanted to buy an ice cream. After the person in front of me had ordered half the range (no one can do anything about it) I was able to buy one. The ice cream was very tasty, but unfortunately the price is a bit high. Nevertheless, I'm happy to give it 5 stars

Eight francs for a self-service hot chocolate is, by any stretch of the imagination, quite a rip-off.

We came upon this gem in Bern when looking for a light lunch. We enjoyed a ham & cheese crepe with a hot chocolate and cappuccino. All was delicious. Roger made our order and served us nicely. He was particularly helpful in suggesting a restaurant for dinner and other advice for us first-timers to Bern. We returned after dinner for an excellent ice cream and to thank Roger for his great advice.

There were 3 employees behind the counter when ordering. Nobody really found it necessary to take my order. After a long wait, an unmotivated employee served me. When I paid I was almost in shock. The prices are massively overpriced. The passion fruit ice cream was amazing. I didn't find any of the other varieties tasty at all. I tried caramel and vanilla. These were too “chemical” for my taste. But the coffee is also very tasty. When I was looking through the menu at the table, I noticed that the employee probably took the tip into account straight away and asked for 2.- more. Of course I will never consume there again. There are much better gelaterias in Bern where they are also better and much cheaper.

This is an ice cream specialty store. It's expensive, but they give you a lot, they're friendly, and it's delicious. As of August 10, 2022, the small one was 5CHF, the medium one was 8CHF, and the large one was 10CHF.

By chance I entered this ice cream shop and I was very satisfied. The place is very clean. Since I am lactose intolerant, the very kind owner recommended one dark chocolate flavor and the other vanilla with almond, naturally vegan. I really liked it, really excellent!!! Excellent tastes good 👏🏻 I highly recommend this place, I will definitely return!
