Extremely disappointed, we came with the gourmet passport and this restaurateur clearly does not apply the rules by charging for services that should not be provided. The food was basic and ordinary for Lebanese cuisine, the Lebanese wines were excellent but all much too expensive for what it is. Bad value for money. Any service. Any atmosphere. In short I won't go back

Atmosphere: There was hardly anyone (5 tables max). Unfriendly staff, takes a long time to serve and forgets the bill. 18fr for a small teapot of mint tea. 1fr more for an extra drink! We ask for Lebanese tea, he tells us no, Moroccan! While another waiter tells us about Lebanese tea. Difficult to communicate. Terrible service and mediocre to not good tea. The only nice thing, the view of the lake, the sun. But that doesn't match the price of tea!

We were very well served. Food was fresh and delicious. We had a fattoush salad that was delicious and the Kafka with fries and hummus which were fresh and also delicious. We stopped by for a drink and decided to stay for dinner and we were glad we did. Definitely will return!!

My name is John, Male 49. A couple of weeks ago I visited this restaurant with my family. We celebrated my beating of cancer and I just wanted to enjoy a nice Lebanese meal. The food was nice but the service was sub par. There was this young waiter, he was very friendly and spoke good English. He told me that he was doing an internship to improve his french. His boss came over, interrupted him talking to us and then the woman didn't even speak English and made it very difficult for us. My wife confronted her and her response was some slur in French. I was very upset because I wanted to enjoy a nice relaxing dinner with my family and she ruined it. My daughter tried to speak a bit french and she just mocked her.

Buffet meal at noon for a birthday we were well received, delicious meal and attentive staff. Breathtaking view of the lake; I can only recommend.

Too bad the dishes are really good but the service is catastrophic. Although we have been there several times because the food is delicious, either we are charged a bill or we are served after an hour, or the waiter does not understand us, or he is wrong, or he gives change incorrectly, either they are cold, or they attack us aggressively if we report that this service needs improvement. In short, really a shame but we will never go back there again.

The waitress helps herself to the buffet dishes by hand, then licks her fingers, it's really disgusting. In addition we found a hair in the meal. It really doesn't make you want it. I will never set foot in this restaurant again because it is also a very unpleasant person.

Very very unpleasant service (we were responded aggressively when we asked for details on the menu, and we were served dishes which we asked what they contained and who they were for - having ordered different tasting menus, we did not did not want to take other people's food - the waiters were either incapable of answering our very simple questions - with the excuse that only the owner, who was busy, would have been able to answer them - or gave us false and impertinent answers. next to us also had a bad experience, one even got angry, and the owner responded by yelling at her in front of the whole restaurant. We also had the feeling of being poorly received with the gourmet passport (no one forced the restaurant to appear there and we immediately ordered a drink) and we were not able to order from the entire menu, but only from two pages which were designated to us by the boss, even though this restriction was not included in the gourmet passport. In addition, the food was very average or downright bad, and extremely poorly presented. It's not even worth the price paid with the gourmet passport...luckily the terrace is pretty, but for now avoid the C&O and go to the Thai restaurant next door instead!

Excellent cuisine, rich and true to taste. Delicious lakeside atmosphere. Very friendly boss. My wife has loved this restaurant since we discovered it.

Well located restaurant with lakeside terrace. Very beautiful view. But the dishes poorly represent oriental cuisine: bland / lack of flavor, slow and out of sync service. Bagged tea should never be served in an oriental restaurant.

It was our first time in this restaurant and the last: errors in the bill, frozen kebbe inside, waiter who cleared the table without asking us if we had finished, forgotten order, etc. etc. In short, after a while, we decide not to say anything more. Toilets too dirty! As we didn't leave a tip, the lady asks us if everything is okay and she offers me a beer to take away! A completely unprofessional gesture in my opinion! The service needs to be improved! Updated after restaurant response; I understand that toilets are the responsibility of the city. But your poor service is your responsibility. I just read other recent reviews from people who had almost the same experience as ours. I would add that your server refused to put a carafe of water on the table because there are 6 of us! But when my friend showed him that all the other tables had jugs of water, he changed his mind and brought us a small jug of water. I remind you that we paid more than 350.- chf! The food was delicious but the portions were very low compared to the paid price! They are understaffed, we had to wait for more than an hour to get our food on parts and not all at once. They made a mistake with my friend’s order, so they had to go and make his plate again, but they got him a free mini-plate while waiting. Nevertheless the location was really nice!

A deplorable experience. Two of us went to eat at this restaurant. My friend was served at 7:40 p.m. I wait about ten minutes before asking the waiter where my dish is… no return. 10 minutes later I ask another server... still no answer... 10 minutes I ask another server again and I wait almost 10 minutes later before hearing back... there is no longer my dish that I had ordered... conclusion more than an hour between my first order and my dish... yet it was a quiet Monday evening... almost no apology from the servers and no commercial gesture... A poor welcome. Not at all attentive or friendly waitress who prefers to sit with her friends rather than take care of her customers. In addition, we waited 1 hour to receive our starters even though the restaurant had few tables to serve. The calamari provided with one of the menus was also missing and we were not even warned, nor given an alternative or discount. As if that wasn't enough, after paying 250.- (without alcohol) for 3 people, we were stopped at the exit like thieves who left without paying. We expect a better reception for this price. We still ate well but bad service can really ruin everything and leave a bitter taste. I won't go back there again. Answer: In this case, review your card and modify it. Your server himself told us "We didn't serve you the squid because there was no more." Also, we only had one spritz which I deducted from the total amount which was 267.50 to be precise. And yes, in 1 hour we had time to observe the waitress who asked us if we were there "only for a drink or if we were still going to eat". If she is not in the service, she should refrain from this type of comment even though we had been waiting for our dishes for a while.

We came a Monday night, service was very slow, had to get up and get the menu ourselves. After a long wait, we get a humus which was not the best, and potatoes that were severely under cooked. Overall not a very pleasurable experience on the food side, atmosphere was very nice though with a cosy outside area.

A Lebanese restaurant, serving Arabic and Lebanese meals, next to the famous Thai restaurant. They have a buffet lunch for 35 francs per person, including rice, vegetables, etc. You can also order a falafel plate for 9 francs with bread. It tastes delicious. Halal food must be checked.

Great dining experience. Real Lebanese cuisine. It was truly a treat. And the welcome was great, especially since we decided at the last minute to go to the restaurant with the gourmet passport. I enjoyed eating right next to the kitchen and seeing the owner's grandmother put all her heart into preparing these delicious dishes. And I disagree with some reviews that say the food is bland because it really isn't. For my part, I highly recommend this restaurant.

The best Lebanese/Jordanian restaurant in and around Lausanne!! To be sincere and transparent, I have traveled a lot in Middle Eastern countries and it is rare to be able to find a similar taste in Europe but C&O really ensures this quality of cuisine in complete authenticity. Not to mention the just great servers and the owner who does her best to make her customers happy. We've been going as a family twice now and we're already looking forward to next time! Restaurant therefore highly recommended for a great time in a restaurant where the atmosphere is more than pleasant and where you eat very, very well. The quality of the food may be passable, but the service and staff are an absolute NIGHTMARE! They impose ridiculous rules on customers, forcing everyone to place their orders at the same time and refusing to accept any additional orders later on. As if that wasn't bad enough, they don't even bother to listen to complaints and have the audacity to make us feel guilty about the staff's fragile emotional state! And don't even get me started on the timing of the food delivery! Some of our dishes arrived within 5 minutes while others took an HOUR to show up! And when we finally decided to ask about the delay, they had the nerve to tell us that their kitchen equipment had been malfunctioning for an entire HOUR without telling us! I have never encountered such service in my life! It's an absolute DISASTER!

Good and plentiful dishes. Nice place. Just no need to remind us all the time that we are “The Fork” customers. That's quite unpleasant. It started from table placement (not the same placement if you're The Fork or not apparently). If The Fork customers are annoying, then don't offer The Fork discounts. Otherwise we ate well.

Exceptional setting by the lake and the Port, the best oriental dishes I have ever tasted and a professional, dedicated and very kind boss. A little treasure in Lausanne.

Very average to low experience. We booked with 15mn delay and when we called it was like impossible because it was overbooked. We stayed 2 hours and 6 tables remained empty... Service was super slow. Food was really not very good. Taboule has sugar inside, homous no taste, some other dishes are tastier but really below expectations. We waited 1hour to get a desert and no one came to ask... Oh was about to forget that ran water despite we ordered some drinks was charged 5.-... First and last time for me in this place.

A big flop despite a good reception... then nothing, no presentation of the dishes or advice... the dishes are literally thrown on the table without a glance or a good appetite. The dishes were bland apart from the salad as a starter which was well seasoned but poorly presented. The discovery dish smelled more like it had been reheated and defrosted than a real home-cooked mezé dish. To recommend wine, we had to wait 20 minutes and only because we had finished the meal and had to clear it without any offer of desserts or coffee. To pay, the best way is to get up and pay on the balcony. In short, not recommended for any true lover of Lebanese cuisine!

Excellent, nothing to complain about, everything was good! The plates are all empty :) The excellent wine (Moroccan) which accompanied the menu very well but after all the wine mentioned on the menu there was no Lebanese wine... a bit strange especially since we paid the same price for the one we would have wanted. . bit strange... Perfect explanation, very readable map. We were able to speak with the manager for 5-10 minutes at the end. It was very pleasant. Perfect price quality. We have already been to several Lebanese restaurants and this one is in quantity and extraordinary, it's always nice to pay an amount for good food. Parking 2 minutes from the restaurant free from 8:00 p.m. If you are in the area, consider it a very very good restaurant :) on the edge of the quiet lake. Everything was excellent and generous portions.

We had reserved at 12:45, arrived 3 minutes "late" at 12:48, the waitress informed us that our table of 6 had been re-allocated to "regular" customers who would have caused a scandal. Explaining our very legitimate dissatisfaction, the waitress makes us understand that it is our fault and does not even apologize. 20 minutes later, our order has still not been taken yet (despite the speed in giving our table to others). We ask for a child's chair (requested 3x) before it is finally brought to us. Then, after 55 minutes of waiting since we arrived, the drinks finally arrived, but still not the food, even though we were with 2 children aged 2 and 4 who were getting impatient. We were not warned of the delay, no information given, and the waitress made it clear that we were disturbing, spoke badly to us, and told us to lower our voices. After such catastrophic service, we decided to leave without even having had the food, because we were shocked by this blatant lack of professionalism and basic politeness.

The waitress leaves and only returns 30 minutes later to take the drink order even though we try to call her several times. Yum yum it was super good and succulent, I'm writing this comment with hummus in my mouth and I can tell you that it's the best oriental restaurant in Lausanne. The servers are very helpful and lively. I really like the diversity of the meals and I recommend this restaurant to people wishing to discover new flavors.
