Dolce in Lac Léman (VD)

The server is not very attentive when ordering. And too many cooking smells!

Big disappointment. Everything we ordered was mediocre, at best. Bruschetta was stale, with old bread. Shrimp risotto was a big mess with watery rice and cheap frozen shrimps. Linguini with salmon looked just looked cheap. Lasagna was simply a joke. How can they think it’s acceptable to serve a dish on a glass Tupperware? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dish so badly presented in a restaurant. Taste was ok, at its best. The “fondant” chocolate cake was not fondant. Dry and bland like everything else. Yet, somehow, the restaurant was packed full. Really can’t understand how except for its central location. I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed by a restaurant in my life.

Honestly I am surprised about all the great food reviews…. For the price the food is acceptable at best. The risotto tastes heavily of prawn broth and is filled with the smallest (probably cocktail) prawns. The lasagna doesn’t seem to be fresh. The bruschetta was served with old stale bread… but the tomato and vinaigrette were good. The petit gateau was dry, no melted chocolate inside. The presentation of the food was good-ish. The service is good, the waitresses are very politely and welcoming.

Very long service, long wait, very loud musical ambiance, on the other hand very good pizza dish as well as good choice of meat

We ate well during our visit to Dolce. Nothing to say about the Italian cuisine, the fries were undercooked and not crispy but the Burger was very good.

Tested it once without much expectation... pleasantly surprised. Pizzas tasted very good. The service made an effort. Unfortunately it was very full, so the staff seemed overworked, but overall the price/performance was ok.

I used to come here many years ago when they used to serve Blue Mountain coffee (amongst others). They've had a complete make-over and name change. Today, tried one of their day's dishes, perche fillets. For 23.50, well presented and tasty. Excellent food but long service

Long wait, the waitress without a smile, which for me is essential in a restaurant job, is called friendliness.

We spontaneously went to Dolce on Saturday evening. The restaurant was already full at 6 p.m. But we still had a place. The service was very friendly and helpful, even if we didn't speak French. The food was good and came quickly. We ordered pizzas and carpaccio.

They treat their clients really well!

We were a table of 7 people for a birthday, unfortunately throughout the meal the waitress took the liberty of removing the plates and giving the rest to the people knowing that one person had not yet finished their pizza with a very sour behavior and towards the end of the meal, the time when we gave the gifts, she allowed herself to look at the gifts and money that the (birthday) person received. Not to mention, as soon as we received the bill she said it out loud in front of everyone.

The service was excellent and the food was top notch. Highly recommended 👍🏻

We were visiting the famous markets and stopped here for dinner. Italian restaurant but unfortunately no one who speaks Italian. Pretty mediocre pizza, and chips served already cold. Nice and clean place. Definitely needs improvement.

The pizzas are bad and indigestible, a little syrup for a child with tap water at 2.90 CHF, selection of bottled wine rather expensive and not very attractive with only one choice of wine open at 7.50 CHF per dl... a place with a lot of traffic and a lot of noise..

Very very noisy restaurant. Too expensive for what is served. The pizzas are not at all like those in the photos (see their Instagram account for example). The dough is too thin and it doesn’t have a puffy edge…. Damage !!! In the non-alcoholic drinks offered by the glass (sports), there are only sugary drinks, no mineral water. Only one red wine by the glass offered?!?!? . The waiter is very nice but the waitresses are very cold and not at all friendly. This will be the first and last visit for us.

We had booked, specifying that we had a time requirement... After 40 minutes of waiting and 3 reminders (each time there were only 2 tables to serve before us!!) our dishes were finally served: cold fries , pizzas not cooked, only the tagliatelle was correct. The rating was quick, and very high for the quality. The reception was barely adequate.

Very nice place, the dishes are extremely good! Well done to the chef! Very nice waitresses. Reasonable price. I just find that the leather armchairs are very damaged and old as well as the sofas, it would be nice to give them a new life again.

Food good but service is subpar

Overall everything tasted great but the service is extremely slow. I found that every place in Glion was very slow to get food. You pay on average 30-40 per person and it will still take 1.5hrs. They stayed open pretty late and were able to speak good English. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to glion.

We came by at noon for dinner, we were very poorly received by a lady who spoke to us in a way that as a customer we did not appreciate, too bad, we left directly

A very good Italian restaurant - in a shopping mall in Switzerland, it is true, but the menu looks appetizing and the pizzas taste quite decent. Perch fillets, homage to neighboring Lake Geneva, also not bad. Correct prices

Very popular restaurant with nice decor and modern, subdued, sparkly lighting. Prompt service and polite staff. Their Salopi salate and potato gnocchi with gorgonzola and walnuts was delicious 😋

Food was really good. We had the margherita pizza and beef pasta which were both tasteful. Host was amazing and always checked in on us. House wine which host recommended went great with the meal. Only downside was we didn't get enough starter bread.

We arrived late in the town and while every other restaurants were closing and rejecting us, they allowed us to order take away. After our pizza arrived, they even offered to allow us to stay and eat there. Even though we left, but I am very grateful that they thought about us rather than their closing time. Also the pizza was really tasty. Thank you!

The taste was present, nothing to say. However, the prices are slightly excessive: I noticed that the pepper mill came from LIDL (😂), I hope the rest of the ingredients came from better distributors. Downside for the waitresses who are insistent in selling us drinks. The desserts were very good.

To say that the food is tasteless is an understatement. We ordered risotto with shrimp and lasagne with meat. There were too many spices in the risotto, well, they really got in the way, and the shrimp were hidden somewhere, we didn’t notice them. The lasagna is simply disgusting. It’s like you’re just eating dough with tomato paste and over-salted meat that’s barely there. And later my stomach hurt from the amount of acid in the lasagna. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. ONE DISAPPOINTMENT

A very warm welcome on a cold night in Montreux. Our family of four was seated immediately by a very friendly member of staff and for the remainder of the evening we were looked after with first class, attentive service. The menu was excellent. Including many fantastic healthy salad options which were very tasty and well presented. The lasagne was exactly as it should be. The wine selection was better than expected too and we enjoyed a good bottle of Primitivo which was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and warm. It is always a wonderful and rewarding experience when one stumbles upon a great little restaurant which offers exactly what you are looking for. This was one of those moments and we were so pleased that we walked in.

Not bad On weekends you should reserve a table otherwise you might not be able to get one Also, don't order the lasagna except if that's all you can eat :D it costs 25€, and it's a tiny portion. It's so small I could have eaten 2 of what I got served Other than that, the truffle pizza was alright (although I'm not a fan of truffle oil). And the lasagna tasted good (price hurts...) Service was really good, the staff is friendly and fast. I would go back there as a backup plan, maybe 7/10

Cute restaurant and friendly, welcoming staff. Brought me the wrong meal and insisted I'd ordered veal. I definately had not. Ordered a Swiss burger. Way overcooked. Husband had shrimp risotto and said was good. High priced food with medium quality. Not many options on Monday nights as restaurants are closed then. Adjust expectations and enjoy!

The WORST restaurant around, and literally on all possible criteria: Poor service, bland food, more than haughty manager, long wait despite a practically empty restaurant, forgetting to take an order, but above all total lack of respect towards the customers! In addition, those who wish to book with La Fourchette to get the 20 or 50% discount, don't bother because they won't apply it anyway! To flee.

Service underground. Pizzas only received after 1 hour. Then they wanted to charge us for more drinks than we had consumed. Never ever. There's no need to talk about the price/performance ratio, especially in Switzerland. But in “Dolce” it was absolutely not possible. 0 🌟

How can I put it.... we came with colleagues on a Sunday evening. Detestable service: forget ordering drinks so a long wait, inversion of dishes and HOT dessert, the ball of class completely melted.... 😡 !!!! The waitresses were in a hurry to take orders!!! We will never set foot there again!!!!

I have never eaten there but to drink coffee with friends. So for my part I like this place, the waitresses are smiling!!!

Disastrous service. The waitresses arguing in front of me. The card thrown on the table. Come back 5 minutes after my order because she had forgotten what I had ordered!!! Please check staff at recruitment. It is not because it is a border crossing which costs you less that the service must be deteriorated! Definitely don't go there, constant argument between the waitresses throughout my meal.

Poor service. Wine by the pitcher more expensive than by the glass or bottle 😅 Barely edible food. The "manager" (as she says) Sarah is insulting, threatening and very rude if we tell her we are not happy with the service. All the customers were shocked by his attitude. She even called the police because we did not agree to pay more for the pitcher (recommended by the waitress) than the wine by the glass or bottle (we offered to pay the price of wine by the bottle). Police who refused to come. We were scandalized and we will never return.

let me tell you why i wont recommend this restaurant. i called at 9pm to reserve a table and we arrived at 9:30 waited 5 mins for the menu, and when we finally got the menu waited another 10 mins for someone to come and take our order but he kept ignoring us ( keep in mind the kitchen close at 10) so now its 9:45 so i go inside and ask for someone to come and take the order but still NO ONE DID. at 9:50 we just left to somewhere else. and please treat people better its not like you’re paying for the food. restaurant owner please change your staff. thank you.

Very delicious and wonderful, the staff are friendly and the flavor is measured in detail, their dishes are distinctive and beautiful, and the outdoor seating is nice.

Service really worth seeing again! No one can tell the difference between a rib steak, a steak and a fillet of beef. We were charged for a filet when it was only a steak and the sauce was charged extra! The waitress asks one person what they want to drink and leaves when there are two of us at the table... well, really a disaster! And not even a gesture to compensate for the fact that the waitress calls us a liar. The pizzas are good but not amazing. In short, we won't come back!

Such a good find thanks to The Fork. Really friendly service and great menu… couldn’t decide from the variety of risottos! Watched the staff celebrate a couple of guest birthdays, was lovely. Will be back!
