We reserved for a date and time in advance and when we arrived he told us that the reservation was made for a different day and I reconfirmed it with him. Instead of trying to find a solution, he belittled us and very rudely invited us to leave the restaurant. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL ADVISABLE

Big recommendation! The boss is very welcoming and the food is delicious! We opened the door just after 5 o'clock and we didn't need to make a reservation. There was a beautiful receptionist who greeted us attentively. It was a perfect dining experience. If you are tired from hiking in Zermatt, why not come here to reward yourself~

This is the BEST meal we’ve had in Zermatt! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming! The food was FANTASTIC. We ordered the mussels, lamb cutlets, scallops and profiteroles for dessert. 10/10 recommend to everyone!

Giuseppe: a wonderful Italian 'bubble' in hysterical Zermatt. The young woman who served us was top notch: professional and kind. Pleasantly busy. Our dog luckily found a spot under the table. Delicious food, with some 'surprises from the house'. In short: highly recommended. Of course you also pay a lot more here than in the Italian countryside, but in comparison the quality/price is good here.

Super nice dinner experience in Zermatt. The best dinner we have had in Switzerland. The owner and the waitress are both extremely kind and personable. The service was very attentive. We ordered spaghetti with truffle and lamp chops, and spaghetti with seafood. Both were delicious. High recommend

I went here to eat for a few reasons. I knew nothing about the restaurant beforehand. The first reason was that one of the starters was translated as "Tomato cream soup with Wodka", which made me laugh. So, of course, I wanted to try that. The second reason was the Brexit references. I wasn't entirely sure if it was all a joke or not. It turned out to be a joke and a real menu. In any case, the third reason was that the food on the menu looked good, and it was! 5 stars.

The moment you walk into this restaurant you know it’s going to be amazing. We were warmly greeted by the singing owner and our server brought out Prosecco and Bruschetta after being seated. The food, the wine, the service and the atmosphere were all incredible. It was the perfect evening and the best way to end our time in Zermatt.

I used it for dinner twice when I went skiing in February 2020, and I went there once again this time. This is Zermatt's most popular Italian restaurant, so reservations are required after 7pm. If you go by 6pm, you can enter without a reservation if there is space. Uncle Giuseppe is very cheerful and always sings. I was worried about the coronavirus, but I'm glad you're doing well. When I came to make a reservation a few days ago, I was told that it was fully booked for December, but I was told that I could come before 6pm, so I stopped by at 5:55pm. On that day, I was able to enter until 7pm. It's quick to prepare, so it only takes less than an hour to eat. As soon as we arrived, the place was full. First of all, the specialty of this restaurant is that they serve bruschetta as a side dish. Sometimes they even give me prosecco, but not this time. Handmade pasta called Agnolotti (42CHF). It had black truffle on top and the cream sauce was really delicious. The salmon tart (28CHF) with salmon under avocado mousse was also delicious when sprinkled with lemon and served with capers. Panna cotta (14CHF) is also delicious. I've never had anything bad at this restaurant. A total of 110 CHF (approximately 16,500 yen) of super rich espresso (4 x 2 CHF), white wine (6 x 2 CHF), and mineral (small: 6) is a reasonable price considering the delicacy of the food, the quality of the ingredients, and the taste. However, due to the weak yen, it was a difficult season for Japanese people.

I would give a 4.3 if that were possible. The meal starts with a glass of champagne for all and a piece of bruschetta, which is not very good. I did not care for my agnolotti dish, but my son, daughter and husband enjoy lyes their meals, which I sampled and found them to be better as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant has a casual feel, that does not seem to match the dining experience.

What an incredible Italian restaurant in Zermatt. There was a certain vibe and positive energy that's hard to describe in words. The owner and the staff were just the most service oriented and smiling folks I have seen in years. The food is very good but the ambience and the service made it feel exceptional and personal. We had dinner there. All portions can be made to share, appetizers and mains. You get a prosecco when you arrive followed by a Bruschetta. The end of the meal is followed by a block of Parmigiano cheese and a bottle of Limoncello and Grappa. By the time you are done, your mind and palate are just bursting with flavors. It's a five minute walk from the Zermatt station. Must visit.

Place to be in Zermatt when it comes to Italian food. The boss is a real original who runs and maintains the shop with a lot of Italian charm. The food is simply world class and the ambience is unique. Without a reservation there is almost no chance of getting a seat.

Eating at this restaurant is an experience. You are warmly greeted by Giuseppe himself! He makes you feel special and unique and welcome in his restaurant. Zermatt is my second home. Le Chalet by Giuseppe is one of the restaurants that I visit every time without exception. The ambience is unlike anything you'll find anywhere and the food, even though it's pricey, is OUTSTANDING! She loves homemade ravioli. Parmesan, a bottle each of grappa and limoncello were brought to the table but not included in the bill! Reserve early. I can only recommend.
