A waiter at the bar (probably the manager) throws the plates on the table (maybe they were too hot), uses a bad tone to announce the dish, unpleasant as possible. Fortunately his colleague (who mainly looked after our table) was very cheerful and helpful. I thought I heard it wrong but no, Brasserie Da Matteo charges you 1 CHF for your forgotten mask. To top it all off, I got the comment: “you shouldn’t forget your mask”. Do you realize? These restaurants have complained about having to close because of Covid, and when their customers return, they charge masks on the bill. Simply shameful. I have lived in Geneva for 31 years and I will not return to this restaurant again. Also, I will make sure to convey to those around me the way in which this restaurant treats its customers.
