This place has a very cool vibe. Lots of young and not so young professionals. Good mix.

This was an all-time go to place around the clock, one of the easiest going bar/cafes in the neighborhood with a nice atmosphere and good vibes. They've regrettably scaled back opening hours and are no longer opening during the day for coffee nor serving cakes etc. brunch, which is regrettable for a place which gets so much sunlight in the day!

UPDATE 08.01.24: After a new visit today, a month after the first, how surprised I was that the door has still not been repaired... Geneva launches its Great Cold plan, but the Guidoline , he is absolutely not afraid of chilling his customers! But what a shame! The customers at the tables next to the door spend their time getting up to close it as soon as someone enters. The poor waiters are even reduced to writing messages accompanied by big arrows visible on the window to ask for pity from customers so that they close the door after entering... I am therefore launching an appeal for general solidarity: there would be- Is there a locksmith humanist enough to go and repair this door once and for all?? I imagine that there is obviously no question of leaving a bill and that this gesture should be voluntary... we're not going to dream! A bar that has everything to succeed, good atmosphere, well located, pleasant setting and team that ensures... except its management... poor little cheese board at 28.- (!!!) but a door that no longer closes and we don't hasn't repaired for weeks while he It's cold... the people at the service are efficient and very friendly but often overwhelmed by their insufficient number compared to the customers. Prices increase regularly but the service loses quality more and more... when you have everything you need to do well but are too stingy to do anything with it. Go figure, managers…

Home of shit. We reacted to the incompetence and disinterest of the staff and were told to go elsewhere. I hope this establishment disappears as quickly as possible. With resentment.

Pathetic welcome, we arrive at 5:05 p.m., a group of nice and thirsty friends; the place is empty, just two other customers; not calculated after a while, we ask to be able to order, response: “we have just opened we are not ready!”. The staff spends 10 minutes putting away the chairs, after a second request, “Can we order, please?” “You are aggressive, we will not serve you, you can go elsewhere!” Very commercial. Delighted to leave the place given the bad vibes, we went to the Corner Pub 20m away, welcomed with a sincere smile and sympathy, in 2 seconds the waiter had moved tables for us. In short, choose your creamery!

Really great little bar. Some nice beers; the “amber” is the best beer. So delicious. Staff are lovely, and the atmosphere great. Apart from one crazy broad dancing in a restaurant such way it was a really great place for a drink.

The place is really nice, nice decor, everything to do well. Unfortunately the service there has become catastrophic. Formerly a regular visitor to the place and going there regularly, I witnessed this sad deterioration with frankly unpleasant and totally inefficient staff. The high point was reached when we wanted to have a coffee with a few friends and after 45 minutes of waiting to order we were suggested to go elsewhere if it didn't suit us. I have followed this valuable advice to the letter ever since.

Beautiful place, the interiors are really nice and very chic. The outdoor area is also very clean and spacious. To drink we had a cider and a beer, both undoubtedly very good and unique. We then also asked for a really good platter with non-commercial, almost gourmet cheeses, with which we also discovered the perfect pairing: cheese and grapes! The only flaw is the price, €54 for two drinks and a platter that doesn't even fill you up a bit (the price of the platter wasn't even written on the menu).

Decent food but the service is deplorable.

We were received in a scandalous manner at La Guidoline on the morning of August 20, 2023. There was only one person to take, prepare and serve orders for the entire establishment, inside and on the terrace. This person was very stressed and unable to manage, which is understandable. But even though we wrote down our order to make her life easier, after 35 minutes she still hadn't taken it from us and made it clear that she didn't know she would. Other people, who arrived after our group, were served before us. When reinforcements finally arrived, this new person told us in no uncertain terms that if we weren't happy, there were other cafes in the area! Needless to say, that was the straw that broke the camel's back, and we left. This is all the more unacceptable that we have for years, during school term, been coming every Saturday morning in a group of 8 to 20 people. But yesterday – in further evidence of the deterioration in service observed for several months – was really the pinnacle. We were clearly not welcome. The least they could have done is to tell us from the start that it was not going to be possible to serve us that morning rather than have us wait unnecessarily for a total of more than 40 minutes. Instead, the servers were rude and dismissive. It is with sadness that we have watched this neighbourhood establishment that we cherish deteriorate over the months, suffering from evidently incompetent management and staff that is at best overwhelmed and at worst unpleasant. This is not the first time this year that we have suffered from poor service and been made to feel like an inconvenience. There is a limit to what we are willing to endure, however, and that limit was well exceeded yesterday. We won't be back. Shame on you.

Worst attention ever, don’t come there to study

I call to make reservations for a large group to have a drink on a Saturday, and I am told that we prefer to keep the place for people who want to have brunch. I explain that I can then book for brunch because I think the group will be up for it and I will call back to cancel if necessary (but in my opinion there is little chance of cancellation). I was told no, because other people had already said they would come to eat and ultimately did not come another time (these other people have nothing to do with me). I reply that in this case I will look elsewhere, they wish me a good day and hang up on me without giving me time to finish my sentence. Very bad reception. Not surprising when you read the other comments.

To avoid! The service is terrible. Nice as barn doors, these people. If it bothers them so much to work, let them give it up and go have a good time at the Pâquis baths. Small reminder, we are the ones paying. And it’s expensive too. Makes you wonder who they think they are?

Me and my family enjoyed each part of the dishes the spices it has osm just blown my mind. I will definitely comes once again in this restaurant if I ever get time to go for a holiday weekend.

Didn't eat but good cocktail and big choice for the bar

The place is pretty! We had the HQ burger, it was REALLY good, a change from traditional burgers. Accompanied by a small salad and potatoes, the price was right. The service was fast and the person who served us was pleasant :)

A disaster!!! We arrived today! 10:45am, we sat down, more people arrived behind us, the waiter didn't even look at us to serve us after thousands of signs! He served all the tables and not us!!!! When he comes we ask for the coffees and he tells us that only Brunch, because it was until 11am, we told him it's 11:05! And he didn't even care! A bad manner!!!! Disaster!!! Ugly experience arriving in Geneva and being received like this!!! I resented the waiter!! And I leave my comment because everything really was disastrous! DO NOT GO!!!!!!

Café Guidoline is a super nice place! For a weekday afterwork, the place was busy, friendly, good cocktails available, great location. I loved it and I will definitely come back!

I went there on Sunday November 14 around 6pm. The décor is nice but the service was poor. I had to wait for 10 minutes at the bar just to get some coffee and ginger tea. I wish they recruited more competent people and offered a good service.

This used to be my favourite spot in Paquis, I have come here more than I should. All the staff and super friendly guys. Sadly I don't go anymore, because there is no red haired waitress who is so rude it is not worth it.😔 Better to go to the corner pub across the street

What a shame, such a beautiful place but such a poor choice of waitress. The manager who left old and bitter with red hair is so unpleasant that it ruins this magnificent bar. This vulgarity and this way of responding makes you want to run away, what a horror. Enough to lose all the customers. In a bar, hospitality is essential. This redheaded woman doesn't deserve this job!!

I advise against. Very slow service. 1 hour to order, 1 hour to pay. There are 2 servers and 7 clients, incomprehensible….

Expensive, but it would be okay if the team didn't ignore you, the seats/tables were clean, the cocktail glasses were actually filled, and the music didn't deafen you. Unfortunately, this is not the case. We wouldn't go back.

Damage ! A regular at this establishment at lunchtime, I love eating the pomegranate falafel salad. There are dishes for vegans or not and it's very pleasant, rather plentiful and tasty. At the price, it's more than fair in Geneva. Service level because that also matters a lot nothing to say I waited 5 minutes for my dish and the waitress kindly welcomed me with a smile (she was wearing glasses) So 5 stars for that! Appreciating the place, I wanted to introduce it to friends by going there in the evening and the disappointment the atmosphere and the welcome is no longer the same I don't understand why?! My friend wanted to get information about a cocktail and had to go to the bar where a rather cold, unsmiling lady told us to wait in a tone that didn't make you want to wait or consume! If you don't like contact, you have to do something else! I should point out that this is not the first time that I have gone there in the evening but this is the last straw! I'm not in the habit of leaving a bad review but I like this establishment, the cuisine, the neighborhood so much that I find it a shame to only want to go there at lunchtime because we're not received in the same way in the evening! Really liked the vibe here but the service has been severely lacking in recent times .... during my last visit I waited for 30 minutes without any acknowledgement from the servers, though there were not that many other customers when I arrived. Those who arrived after I did were promptly served. My departure was similarly ignored. You've lost a regular customer today.

After trying to buy my bike at Hot Point, and without knowing in advance that the store was linked to coffee, being from a right-wing political background I didn't really feel at home in my luxury clothes with this red & green atmosphere. Once not twice. The waiter came back to me because he didn't remember what I had ordered... too busy talking with a neighboring table... I recommend and it's in the middle of the street with a view of the cars... hello Exhaust Gas!!

Two 250ml cokes at 8.- is already a shame, but the lukewarm and gasless taste was even worse. The staff being as limp as possible doesn't make you want to come back! Avoid!

It's good to do a qafé bike concept but we might need to be able to accommodate them... I arrived around 1:00 p.m. after my bike ride I wanted to test the handlebar tape and its little dishes... But as they don't have any locks to lend or places to park the bikes, I unfortunately left...

I really love the vibe of this place but the service in the evenings is consistently terrible. I've been around 5 or 6 times in the last few months, and every time I have been left waiting at the square bar in the middle of the cafe for at least 3 or 4 minutes before any of the bar stuff even acknowledge me. I know when it's busy there's likely to be a bit of a wait, which I would be fine with if they just gave the waiting customs some indication that they knew they were there, just something like "be with you in a few minutes" or even just eye contact and a smile would be fine - rather than scowling and ignoring us. This is the first review I've ever posted for any restaurant or bar because it's been so noticeable on my last few visits (and friends I have spoken with have agreed that the bar staff come across as rude a lot of the time). Really hope they see this and do something about it - it's such a great bar spot in Geneva with a good atmosphere, but the service really lets the place down.

I really like this cafe & bar. I visited a few days ago and the staff were friendly and the space felt really safe esp during the current Omicron wave. Nice spacing of tables and high ceilings, and staff followed protocols. I realized that this was the bar I visited 3 years ago on my first trip to Geneva. I liked it then and it's still a great place to hang out for drinks. Will be back.

Super nice evening with my colleagues! The atmosphere was lively (the music maybe a little loud when we are a group that talks a lot! 🤣), but the choice of music was very good. The staff was nice and very helpful! The drinks are varied, I loved my strawberry daïkiri! The locals are amazing! Spacious and bright. In short, an address that I highly recommend!
