The cow must have dropped dead, the meat was extremely tough, the celery was yellow and stale, and the pickles were no longer fresh either. Inedible. But no wonder if there are few customers, because the goods stay around longer.

Eine kleinere Karte in Coronazeiten ist durchaus ok. Auch ist man durchaus bereit, etwas mehr für die gebeutelte Gastwirtschaft zu bezahlen. Wenn aber offensichtlich der Grossteil der Menus vom Kühler in die Friteuse geht, die Saucen nach Päckli schmecken und die Portionen zudem bescheiden sind, dann sind die hohen Preise nicht gerechtfertigt.PS: Die Zimmer sind dafür tiptop im Schuss.

I arrived there by coincidence (huge parking lot in front, next to the main shopping area). The restaurant is very spacious and nicely designed. It's not so gloomy and stuffy like some others in the neighbourhood. Corona requirements are being respected.I was there twice for lunch. First time I had calamari fritti, because it's my favorite for lunch. It was so good that I went the next day again. Very nice white wine by the glas (chardonnay) good taste and well chilled. For desert I had panacotta, wonderful. As I went the second time I was offered an Amaretto by the house.The selection of good restaurants in the area is limited. Da Paolo in my view is not fine dining but deserves a good rating.
