A great time in this place where the chef shapes the vegetables in a remarkable way. A beetroot risotto enhanced with small pieces of dried meat, sublime, and a remarkable veal dish enhanced with a powerful sauce accompanied by carrots with acidic juice, a delight. The food/wine accompaniment is very successful and goes in the direction of discovery with a surprising but totally successful beer/chocolate dessert combination. The price is high but justified: it's a shame that this doesn't allow everyone to access it.

The desire to discover the place tickled me for a long time, and I was surprised when I opened the Tables Ouvertes guide: he is one of the sponsors. Neither one nor two, a phone call (and yes the old-fashioned way); I mention that I would like to take advantage of the discovery menu + food & wine pairing offer. I am simply asked for the date of the reservation, but not the time...so surprised, here I am! I am told that the opening time and the end time of service are known, it is up to me to know how much time I need to enjoy the menu. Small smile and growing curiosity about such information. Arriving there, the surprises follow one another, the room is full - of people and life - special atmosphere for an establishment of this level. Curiosity continues to rise. The sommelier comes to introduce herself and asks us for confirmation as to the menu (totally unknown, both for me and for my guest who has no idea in what sauce it will be eaten). Recommendation of a seasonal local cocktail to start: killer straight away. Then - surprise again - the Chef arrives to ask us if allergies, intolerances or anything else would come by chance to invite themselves to our table, fortunately this is not the case. The discussion quickly turns to humor, he explains the concept to us and warns us that perhaps we shouldn't trust him. Before you even start eating, already won over! And that's where the serious things begin: from one level of the menu to the other, it's difficult not to get carried away by Damien's daring poetry, the local, the season and the "consistent simplicity" are - for once - truly put in the spotlight. The wines do not fade the brilliance, even after explaining that some customers had complained about seeing "only" Swiss wines in such an establishment. Open-mindedness and joy of discovery still have a way to go... I have rarely had so much emotion and pleasure throughout a meal, the rhythm of which was perfect in every aspect; it's as if the entire team had been able to capture our personal rhythm so that the service would follow, like an improvised and yet totally mastered symphony. Damien returns to introduce us to the cheese cart, a small detail that may seem trivial, but how good does it feel to see a chef desecrate his role himself and come “in contact” with the room for something else? than handshakes or congratulations. There's no shortage of humor again, and it's so good! Arriving at the end of the meal, without realizing the time, no one chased us away, they let us eat - and enjoy - at our own pace, even if we were late. We are trying to count the number of dishes...error in the matrix...there should normally have been 6...we counted 8...Another surprise! Without even talking about the generosity, it was more than flawless, I was truly touched, surprised, transported and more than happy with this adventure. An incredible experience!!! As soon as we arrive in the restaurant, we feel at ease. Sober decoration which is "broken" by magnificent paintings of tattoos. The tone is set. Impeccable service, without overdoing it. Nice surprise to see the chef come to our table to take orders and talk for a few minutes. Succulent meal with lots of taste surprises. I could talk about it for hours because it's truly an incredible experience, but I'm going to leave you with the surprise instead... Don't hesitate to go! The pros: very friendly service and chef who comes to the dining room, very friendly. The bread that accompanied the dishes was delicious! Cozy and comfortable place. Cons: A little disappointed with the taste experience. The dishes were good and well cooked, but based on the other comments I was expecting something more wow in terms of flavors and presentation! Both the tastes and the presentation were a little too basic for me. I often had "variations of", so each dish had fairly "flat" flavors. We could feel the natural taste of the food, but I didn't get a wow when I tasted it, as I would have liked for this type of restaurant. The presentation was also not as elaborate as I could have imagined and compared to other restaurants of the same range made recently. I really like Damien Germanier's local ethics and values ​​behind the choice of food, but overall I didn't have my taste buds sufficiently celebrated unfortunately.

Honestly… very very average The goal is not to destroy the team. The service does not know the menu or the wines. The chef doesn't stop by to say hello. We are sorry to say that we did not find this experience in any way special. The meals are good, but not a stand out. We probably liked dessert the most and we do not have a sweet tooth. The wine pairing is very weak and no explanation about the pairing. The service does not speak english on professional level and therefore cannot explain the dishes or drinks properly. It seems all bit unprofessional and we were really wondering how this restaurant got a star. We love fine dining and this was by far the most disappointing we have been to.

A very creative cuisine, served by friendly staff in a casual atmosphere. The highlights for me (I had a six-course meal with three desserts): duck samosas for the duck main course, the mushroom butter for the bread (an umami stunner!) and a balanced pre-dessert of vanilla and cauliflower. They have air conditioning, so the restaurant stayed nice and cool, despite the intense summer heat outside.

Modern, simple and spaced setting. Very pleasant. Warm welcome and service without being "stiff" and/or "overrated". In short, a service that ensures and is up to standard while remaining pleasant and friendly. We chose the 6-course tête-à-tête menu including champagne as an aperitif, food and wine pairing (which was judicious and very appropriate), coffee/tea. No surprises when the bill comes 😅. Visité déjà à plusieurs reprise une dernière fois décembre pendant le cours moment de réouverture covid.. Des plats succulents un choix du menu de 3 service à 10 services on vous demande vos allergies ce que vous ne voulez pas avoir et c'est parti selon l'humeur du chef. Produit de hautes qualité, très bonne présentation, espace garanti entre les tables, bon sommelier. J'ai aimé, il m'a ravi il me reverra. Que dire de plus... du détails sur les photos.

Je relèverai peut-être un léger manque de saveur au niveau des amuse-bouches, mais le reste était savoureux, bien équilibré et bien cuisiné (mention spéciale pour la pièce de chasse avec une découpe réalisée par le chef cuisiner face aux clients). De plus, le restaurant propose des vins locaux qui se renouvellent chaque semaine afin d'accompagner le menu spécial chasse. Nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir bénéficier de la présence ainsi que d'une courte présentation des encaveurs durant notre repas. Une belle expérience en somme ! Je recommande vivement !

We spent a wonderful evening enjoying a five-course menu. The restaurant is in a former shop on the ground floor of an apartment building. The interior is a bit minimalistic in style, but it felt comfortable, especially since the distances between tables are quite large. We were welcomed by Damien personally who took the menu order, and who returned later on to check whether we were interested in the large selection of cheeses on his tray. The food was excellent, a composition of different styles and notes, and each of the courses was remarkable in its own way. We drank a bottle of local wine, a very good recommendation of the friendly waitress. Overall, the total bill was CHF 340 for two which I consider excellent for Switzerland

Après une mise en bouche prometteuse, avons été déçus. Peu de saveurs, plats noyés dans des bouillons fades et viandes décevantes ( textures et tendressse) heureusement, desserts agréables. Beau plateau de fromage aussi. Je ne pensais pas que j'aurais un coup de coeur pour un plat avec de la truite, celui-ci était fabuleux. Je recommande vivement.

Quand on prétend servir une cuisine gastronomique étoilée à quelque 300 francs le couvert, il faut assumer et viser la perfection à tous les niveaux. Hélas on en est loin. Une ébauche d’explication ? Il y a beaucoup trop de monde (restaurant plein à craquer avec au moins 40 couverts) et seulement deux serveur/-veuse admirables, héroïques et efficaces, mais ça fait quand même service de pizzeria. Le chef sert le fromage : sa place serait plutôt devant ses fourneaux, notamment pour veiller à l’équilibre des assaisonnements et offrir des plats qui explosent en bouche et provoquent le fameux effet : « Whaw ! », absent lors de ce repas. S’il y avait des problèmes de personnel ce samedi soir, il aurait peut-être fallu limiter les menus. De fait, le repas de huit plats a été une symphonie de ratages, dus sans doute à la précipitation ambiante, couacs inadmissibles dans un resto si bien noté. Ainsi, nous avons reçu de la courge congelée surmontée d’un sorbet à la courge et arrosée d’un insipide bouillon de courge qui s’est immédiatement glacé ; cet étrange gazpacho était à peine mangeable, mais il a fallu insister à la fin du repas pour avoir la confirmation qu’il s’agissait d’une erreur : la courge aurait dû être servie à température ambiante et fondre dans le bouillon. Le restaurant a préféré essayer de camoufler l’erreur et n’a même pas eu l'idée d'offrir les cafés pour s’excuser. Par la suite il y a eu du sable dans les cornes d’abondance (comment savourer les arômes d’un plat qui crisse sous la dent ?), et trois des sept convives ont découvert des arêtes (oui, des arêtes de poisson !) dans le… perdreau. Le chamois a été globalement fort apprécié, mais le mien était mal paré et j’ai dû en recracher un morceau. Le dessert à la pomme était délicieux, mais servi sur une assiette de la même couleur que le plat : esthétique malheureuse, mais on nous a expliqué qu’il n’y avait plus d’autres assiettes… Cerise sur le gâteau, j’ai commandé un déca car je suis très sensible à la caféine ; on m’a servi un café normal et en me retournant dans mon lit jusqu’à pas d’heure sans pouvoir dormir, j’ai eu le temps de maudire le restaurant. Quand on demande un prix aussi élevé pour des mets locaux sans aucun produit de luxe (pas de foie gras, de homard ou de caviar), il faut les sublimer (comme Andreas Caminada à Schauenstein) et pas simplement tenter de les cuisiner de manière originale, mais parfois approximative. La haute gastronomie est un sacerdoce : plus de rigueur et moins d’esbrouffe seraient sans doute bienvenus.

Première visite dans ce restaurant, nous avons été enchantés. Nous avons pris la formule 8 plats avec accord mets et vins. Chaque plat était un bijou de créativité, entre goûts, couleurs, températures. L'ambiance à l'intérieur ainsi que la musique de fonds sont tres agréables également. Je recommande vivement.

Première fois pour nous dans ce restaurent et franchement je n’ai pas grand chose si ce n’est rien à redire, le service était excellent, les serveurs accueillent et souriant. Le chef vient lui même à table vous expliquer les menus qui sont atypique, pour le coup un peu surpris au départ mais très bonne idée. Les plats sont tout simplement une vrai découverte pour certains et absolument réussi. Bravo au chef et à son équipe et merci car nous avons passé une excellente soirée.

A lire les derniers avis sur Tripadvisor, j'ai hésité à réserver une table chez Damien Germanier. Mais comme ma dernière visite s'était soldée par un sans faute, je me suis lancé. Et avec raison. L'accueil, par le chef en personne, aimable et pro. Décor cosy, agréable, mobilier confortable. Par contre l'emplacement au bas d'un immeuble n'est pas très glamour. Menu 5 plats au déjeuner: 100 Frs. Une cuisine basée principalement sur les produits de saison et du terroir. Rares sont les ingrédients qui ont une provenance hors Suisse. Très belle philosophie que de mettre en avant nos bons produits. La brigade de M. Germanier se débrouille plutôt bien, les cuissons sont parfaites, les assaisonnements maîtrisés mis à part la soupe de brochet qui manquait de goût, les mariages de saveurs réussis et audacieux, c'est presque un sans faute au niveau des plats. Quelques assiettes au hasard que nous avons apprécié: le pressé de queue de boeuf aux pois chiches, déclinaison de volaille de la Gruyère champignons et jus au vin jaune, glace à l'oignon speculoos jus aux épices, fraises du Valais crumble pistache glace wasabi et estragon.Le service, par le chef au début du repas puis par une serveuse souriante et efficace. La carte des vins est énorme, avec un choix impressionnant de flacons du canton du Valais. Nous avons découvert une superbe bouteille de Pinot Noir (La Part des Anges), cépage assez rare au Valais grâce aux conseils du chef, qui a fait office de sommelier.Bref, nous avons passé un excellent moment. Nous avons l'habitude de sillonner le pays et le monde entier à la recherche de bonnes tables gastronomiques, celle-ci en vaut la peine. Et pour répondre aux critiques négatives des derniers contributeurs, tout le monde n'a pas le même palais. On peut ne pas apprécier la cuisine, mais critiquer les tarifs de M. Germanier et surtout les comparer à ceux pratiqués par M. de Courten, cela n'a aucun sens. Ils ne naviguent par sur le même bateau et le niveau n'est pas le même. Par contre, ayant mangé plusieurs fois dans les deux restaurants, ma préférence en rapport qualité / prix / plaisir va à M. Germanier sans hésitation. ABE.

Je me suis rendu dans ce restaurant grâce à l'offre bon Jeunes. Ce fut une très belle découverte de la gastronomie. J'ai trouvé très appreciable que le chef viennent a notre rencontre en début de repas ainsi que pour le service d'un plat. Les plats étaient délicieux et en bonne quantité.

Vraiment déçus, la sensation de s’être fait avoir, une facture d’au moins 550.- pour un repas comprenant 8 plats avec accord mets et vins.Nous avons préciser au chef que je n’aimais pas trop le poissons, j’ai quand même eu au final énormément de plats de poisson (4 je crois), dont de l’anchois et du maquereau. Nous n’avons fait absolument aucune découverte, les plat était digne d’une mauvaise brasserie, en petite portion . Le fromage, 25.- l’assiette, la serveuse nous précise qu’on peut choisir 5 ou 6 fromages, à ce prix là je pense qu’on devrait pouvoir choisir autant qu’on le souhaite. Nous regrettons également un manque de variété dans les fromages, beaucoup de pâtes dur, très peu de pâtes molles et de chèvres...Bref, le restaurant ne mérite vraiment pas son étoile. Le prix est vraiment injustifiée, pas de produit noble, le cadre ressemble à un salon de conférence d’un hotel. Manque d’intimité entre les tables également. Je reste encore dubitative sur le serac rôti et sa sauce aux anchois, pas compris...

On est un peu surpris quand on arrive car le restaurant est situé au rez-de-chaussée d'un bâtiment sans charme. Une fois à l'intérieur, nous avons pris le menu à huit plats avec l'accord des vins. Un délice de goût et de saveurs. Les vins sont très bien accordés aux plats. Excellente cuisine raffinée et élaborée mais sans être pompeuse. Personnel discret et sympathique. Une très belle découverte qui mérite son étoile et ses 17 points G&M. Très bon rapport qualité/prix !

Terriblement déçu! Honteux le repas que nous avons mangé ! Les portions étaient très petites, mais ça ce n est pas le pire ! Les plats etaient froid, inélégant et peu goutus ! On ne comprend pas les 17/20 Gault et Millau ! Une honte pour les magnifiques cuisiniers Valaisans comme Samuel Destaing ou Didier de Courten entre autre dont les plats et les menus sont pratiquement 40% moins chers et tellement exceptionnels !!!!
