Amazing Malakoffs as always and extremely friendly service.

Simply excellent. Delicious fondue, friendly service, in a pretty little village. In summer, large and beautiful terrace. In addition, dogs (on a leash) are allowed. I just had lunch there and look forward to returning. THANKS!

It’s always a treat to share these fabulous Malakoffs with friends. The atmosphere and conviviality at the cafe are really nice.

Fondue was good but consistency wasn’t right, the waitress was rude and the bill was exorbitant considering we had no alcohol, no starters and no dessert. We will not be going there again.

We won't come back again because of the service (too bad we didn't read the comments before). The boss was not professional during the service and pushed us in the face! On the phone we were told that we should not pay by credit card but CASH, no problem. We were also forced to pay an extremely expensive price for a cheese fondue for four people + bread for fondue + a small bowl of pickles and onions + 1 liter of sparkling water + 3 teas + 3 espressos of CHF 200.-!!! The cheese fondue and the bread that was served with it were good.

The best malakoff I know, the best mushroom crusts I know, the perfect beef, well I won't tell you the menu, but invite you to go there.

The malakoff is exquisite. The walnut salad is divine. Top it off with some Swiss wine and it's pure bliss. The staff very charming and friendly. My family has dined for lunch in the courtyard for years. Every visit to Switzerland, the Hôtel-restaurant de l'Union is a must stop for us. I cannot recommend enough!!

This is a nice place to eat the best malakoff in the region. Very friendly owner and responsive service.

A dismal welcome despite our scheduled reservation. A woman devoid of politeness deigns to welcome us and guide us to the table. She then asks us to take out our baby's stroller, in a most unpleasant manner and a gentleman joins her, cursing at us so that we leave the dog outside. Following this rude welcome, we left immediately. I see other comments mentioning similar episodes. We recommend the villages of Luins or Vinzel to taste good Malakoff, served by people who have a sense of hospitality and politeness!

We were received in a deplorable manner, following a reservation. The waitress started by grumbling and refusing the stroller. Indeed, the place was not suitable for it and we brought it out, however, there is a way of addressing customers. A gentleman, just as friendly, then asked us if we could leave our dog outside. In short, we decided to change location because this welcome was so brutal and gave us the impression of being a nuisance. Maybe the Malakoffs are good at it but we prefer never to know and not have to set foot there again. We tasted delicious Malakoff in the next village, in Luins, the welcome was warm and completely appropriate!

We ordered the snails as a starter and then we were impressed by the quality of the Malakoffs!!! I already knew those from neighboring villages but these are now THE BEST as far as I'm concerned!!! Warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and good cuisine. The prices are a little high.

A hotel inn in the Swiss tradition to taste Malakoff (cheese fritters), a Vaudois specialty. They are excellent. Served with pickles and small onions and mustard as is customary, they must be completed with a well-seasoned salad (see photo) which is hearty and will accompany several Malakoffs. Of course a Malakoff does not constitute a meal but a nice starter unless if you are greedy and amateur (like Prince Jérome Napoleon was in 1880) you decide to eat more than one! The service is done in a small, well-established room, or on sunny days in a charming rustic courtyard. No fuss here. The owner, very energetic, serves her customers with an energetic hand. It doesn't drag. It may come as a surprise, but I really liked his style. Hot in front! Treat yourself.

We traveled 40 km to come and eat at the Union restaurant in Bursins because the reviews on TripAdvisor about it were very glowing, and especially about its Malakoffs. The terrace was very good (although the tables were covered in plastic), but we left very disappointed, because the food was very ordinary and above all the welcome was very dry, our waitress as welcoming as a prison door. It is certain that we will not come back again..

Nous avons maintenant l’habitude de venir une fois par année depuis 3 ans venir manger en famille (9 personnes) les Malakoffs en soirée estivale sur la terrasse. C’est à chaque fois avec énormément de plaisir que nous profitons non seulement de la nourriture (les Malakoffs champions du monde), et surtout de l’accueil et la gentillesse de J(Y?)asmine la super patronne.
