Yes, the bowls are cool. Unfortunately the base below (quinoa) is very bland. Ambience like a fast food restaurant. You can't really say anything about the service, as it is a self-service restaurant with a counter. This also makes it seem cool.

I ate the Crunchy Chicken Bowl. It is served with salad, half of which consists of rocket. In addition, the price-performance ratio is not good. The price for the bowl is 20.90CHF, but you only get 5 pieces of chicken, rice and rocket.

Nice restaurant, very clean. Price quite okay, but very little meat on the plate, but a lot of cheap cucumbers, a lot of rice. We had four meat menus, and all of them had hardly any meat on the plate, more like decoration. Staff rather unfriendly and distant.

I recently enjoyed a delightful espresso experience in St. Gallen. The service was impeccable, and what stood out was the friendly demeanor of the staff. Despite my limited German, they went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The espresso itself was a perfect balance of rich flavor, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. This establishment is a gem, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone looking not just for great coffee but also a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

I thought the food was good. But the price-performance ratio is not ok. I took a haloumi feta salad for 20.-. It was 3 slices of haloumi and half an avocado. The rest was green salad. They charge 20.00 for that (lunch) and I just find that cheeky. There are also 2 slices of dry bread. I will never eat anything here again and I will advise everyone against it.

Hello There is super fine food, the bowls are simply amazing. It is always freshly prepared. The concept of Dean & David appeals to me extremely. The team is always friendly and even when they work a lot, they are very committed. I have always been satisfied so far and will of course recommend this business to others. Just wanted to say thank you to the whole team for their good work! Keep it up!

Young and very unfriendly no better said very cheeky and arrogant staff, speak little to no German and argue instead of apologizing for unnecessary circumstances that have arisen. After I had already placed the order twice with an employee who apparently spoke very poor German but still served guests at the checkout, and I had then placed the order for the third time with another employee who also didn't speak the best German The lady very rudely instructed me to be patient and understanding that the other employee didn't speak German very well, otherwise I could leave the restaurant and eat somewhere else. Absolute mess! The name of the employee was not released upon request! October 21, 2023 / 12:00 p.m. / St. Gallen The order was canceled and I will never eat there again, even though the food has always been great so far. It's a shame, the concept is great but that alone isn't enough if the service is worse than bad!

Delicious and quick food. The bowls and curries are really delicious. You choose your dish, pay, get a number and see on the screen when the dish is ready, just like at McDonald's. The only point of criticism is that if you pay between 16 and 26 francs for a dish, without a drink, then it's a bit too little for me. The salads aren't exactly cheap either, but unfortunately they're always a bit too little for the money you pay for my hunger.

I spent a great, entertaining and culinary perfect evening with my sister. I decided on a Cesar salad and a fresh ginger mint tea, what a feast🥳 Great, centrally located, comfortably furnished restaurant. Highly recommended👍

Poor service during no busy hours. In my avocado and chicken bowl there was 1 piece of avocado and 3 small pieces of chicken. Considering the prices this is not acceptable.

Very tasty and nutritious salads and bowls in different versions with meat, salmon or vegetarian. I think it's great that the sauces are so special. My rocket sauce was very sweet, which I like, and went great with the feta. The service was very friendly and I think it's a good system that you can see when it's your number. It was also quick at lunchtime until the food was ready. The ambience is bright, modern and inviting. I'd love to come back!

On weekdays, 3 p.m., there is a shortage of cooked rice and qinoa, as well as bread, which is a regular part of the menu when someone orders a salad. The employee informs me rather indifferently that we have to wait 15 minutes longer while the rice and qino are cooked! There is no bread! It's really sad that a restaurant with a great concept disappoints its customers with such trivial things!

I’m a lunchtime regular here and the food is great and the service is good, but the prices have been creeping up more quickly than elsewhere over the last year. But the Crunchy Chicken Bowl rocks.

There is a huge selection of delicious food from vegan to meat, there is something for everyone. Ambiance very nicely modern and comfortably furnished. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, there is always a smile on their faces. I can only recommend it, I would love to eat there again.

Each time a different price for the bowls. Sometimes 15.- with a side dish, sometimes 20.- and today it was even 27.- And if you then want to briefly explain that it doesn't work that way, that you pay 15 francs for the same thing one day and 27.- the next. It takes a lot of effort to understand it. If you're willing to pay so much for so little, then the package including the service has to be right.

… unfortunately not really the best price/performance ratio. The bowls are good, but at almost 22 francs they are quite overpriced. 3 tiny pieces of beef, rice and vegetables. And mind you, self-service.

A clean and bright place for a quick lunch between two appointments or a workshop. Friendly service, clean places and all food is freshly prepared in a visible kitchen. It has a good selection of bowls and at first you are a little overwhelmed with the choice, but every single menu item is freshly prepared, very tasty, the right size and reasonable in price.

On my first visit the cappuccino was lukewarm and the cake inside was still frozen. The next visit after a long time: Chicken Teriyaki Bowl. The lettuce leaves and the sauce were very good, the chicken tasted okay, but was quite dry and definitely not enough for the high price. However, the rice was a disaster, I could only eat half of it, even though I generally never leave any leftover. It had completely boiled down to a slimy paste. (This also has nothing to do with sticky rice, if that was the intention.) My colleague had a lentil dish that she didn't think was particularly good either. I wasn't full and after these experiences I probably won't come back. At my special request, I informed customer service of the reasons for my negative rating. The fact that I didn't receive an answer fits the picture I had in my mind.

The restaurant is modern and comfortably furnished, the self-service is unusual but well implemented (the bell rings when an order can be picked up at the counter). The prices are a bit high, but the quality is good every time you visit.

Actually a nice dean&david. Unfortunately, 45 minutes before closing, the coffee machine had already been cleaned, all the soups, etc. We then ordered a smoothie, which we received with the message that it would be closing soon. But it was still more than 30 minutes away. The floor was diligently cleaned between guests, as was the counter. Unfortunately, you didn't feel very welcome. A pity.

Unfortunately, the quality is getting worse and worse, after an initially good start Employees are overwhelmed and therefore tend to be “short” and not very attentive when it comes to customer contact. The number of portions is noticeably shrinking, and I also experienced several times that some of the coffee I ordered ended up on the saucer. Today I saw at the neighboring table that the plate I was using was completely dirty (see photo)! Last week I found a rotten avocado in my salad... The concept here should urgently be revised, and SG definitely needs capable management I have been a regular in D&D up until today, but after my experiences I will no longer do so P.S. I also noticed that even with friendly questions/criticism from guests on site, the eyes were rolled, as soon as the guest was out of contact. For me it's a sign that the team is completely overwhelmed

Very bad service. When asked what is 'flat white' the lady didn't have an answer. Eyes were rolled when asked whether a little cold milk could be added to the ChaiLatte for the kids. Chai latte was fine, coffee was not. We no longer visit Dean&David with this service.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The salad was big enough, there was too much mint on the salad for me, I would use less, then the whole salad wouldn't taste like mint. I would be happy about more meat. Otherwise tip top. Gladly again.

I really enjoy going to this restaurant because the food is fresh and tasty and I can eat a little healthier ;). Every now and then you have to wait a bit, but the good quality is definitely worth it to me. The staff is very friendly and always seems motivated despite the stressful lunchtime. I'd love to go there again. Great👍

We have ordered from Dean and David four times and not once did an order arrive correctly. Either the meat was completely missing and there was a sorry note that it had run out, or instead of the quinoa as described for the bowl, there was white rice. Every time something is wrong. In addition, the quality of the beef really leaves a lot to be desired, it is as chewy as chewing gum. We order a lot and have never had to give anyone such a bad review.

Friendly and helpful staff as always and the products are absolutely excellent. Relaxing atmosphere.

I have no complains on the food, I am regular visitor if this brand here in Munich, my less stars are only because of the service. Super bad customer care in the store.

Dean & David's catering was incredible. Not only was the service brilliant (very friendly, attentive and flexible) but the food was also very fresh and delicious. In addition to the different salads (with chicken, salmon or cheese), there were wraps and sandwiches. But the best thing was the banana bread ❤️ To get something warm in your stomach, they served fresh pumpkin soup. Drinks included juices, smoothies and water. In a nutshell: Fresh, healthy and with a lot of love Thank you so much for enhancing my event!

Ok, to quickly eat something for lunch. But definitely not more than that - unfortunately. The green Thai curry (vegan) is absolutely bland. Without seitan or silken tofu, etc. with nothing but a little leek, 5 edamame and carrots. I had to order sweet potatoes and peanuts as a topping for another 5 francs. Without that, there would have been nothing with the rice except a little sauce. It's a real shame, all the money seems to go into marketing. No one there is interested in really good food anymore - at least that's what it seems like.

On March 13th, 2021 I ordered a menu via the toogoodtogo app for CHF 4.90, the equivalent of > CHF 15.-. That was the puniest portion and most unpalatable experience I've ever had with toogoodtogo. Not recommendable! There would definitely have been food that they could have added. Unfortunately no recommendation.

Excellent salad compositions, so-called “bowls”. I can especially highly recommend the vegan falafel tahini bowl. Crisp lettuce leaves paired with a touch of the Orient, which comes from the vegetable falafel and hummus. In between you bite into pieces of pomegranate, which, even if it sounds daring, give the meal a cheeky, fruity note and thus enhance it. The salad dressing is also a mixture of well-known flavors with spices from far away (in terms of taste). The bowl is rich in a variety of impressions without appearing overloaded. Five out of five stars and praise for the kitchen. I've finished
