It's a shame that the restaurant was full and difficult to communicate with your partner. Too many tables but otherwise perfect. Apart from something negative, the drinks prices were... 1 liter of water for Chf 11.80... I'm sorry but that's an exaggeration. Small kihr white wine for CHF 17.00 that is unacceptable. But we know now and we'll be back.

A unique experience. Nice little restaurant with nice employees. The concept is designed from 3 courses. After ordering and waiting, we were surprised with a starter, main course and dessert. Portions are not huge, but the quality is unbeatable. You have to enjoy every dish here. I'd love to come back.

The food and service are very good. One star deducted because you have to order at least a 3-course menu. Even if you don't want dessert, you pay for it. In addition, vegetarian options are very limited.

Fabulous restaurant with varied menu and very high quality food. The cordon bleu is perhaps one of the best I had in my life and the desserts have seasonal variation and are very exquisite too. Service is absolutely impeccable, subtle and very friendly. Very worth taking a side road from the main roads to discover and experience this hidden gem!

Was there yesterday and finally made it back after a couple of years. It was always on my list to go back but somehow I never managed. We had a lovely evening with great wines, very friendly staff and divine food. Everything we had was delicious and I love the small menu concept where you don't have a huge choice but everything is fresh and delicious. Bravo to the whole team. I will be back.

We really enjoyed the food. The “greetings from the kitchen” were very welcome. The recommended wine was very good. The ambience is pleasant, but the restaurant has very tight seating. Understandable if the tables are only occupied once per evening. The service was extremely friendly. Recommendation for the restaurant: It should be mentioned on the menu if there are “polarizing” ingredients in a dish that cannot be removed (e.g. Koreander).

Very friendly restaurant. Very modern and I appreciate the central location. A great menu was conjured up for my little 5 year old daughter. Thank you very much for that. The service was great and the food was almost a work of art. 5 Stars!

Went here for lunch and had such a lovely time. The service was great and the portions were filling. The pasta starter was amazing. Truly delicious!

While staying in ZH with my granddaughters, we stopped in front of this pretty terrace and it made us want to eat there without knowing the menu. A little surprised by the said card because it was in English. Why not offer us one in French because the “production” of our future menu is done throughout our reading. It was very good and plentiful so much so that I didn't have dessert. On the other hand, if your grandchildren are not used to unusual tastes, it is more difficult to find something for them.... But we found it!!! 👍 thank you, it was great 😊

Had a great birthday dinner here. We sat outside in the shade and each course of our meal was delicious and beautifully presented. For desert they brought out a gorgeous plate decorated in chocolate and personalized to me. Overall it was a great experience that I highly recommend. Beautifully prepared, the eye eats with it. The service was friendly and helpful. The wrong side dishes came with the main course and were replaced after a short time.

Just beautiful! The service is super friendly, courteous and competent. The food is fabulous with well-known classics and modern dishes and the wine list has more than enough to offer for every taste. Thank you very much for the wonderful evening!

Went here for lunch on a warm day. The patio is shady and separated from the sidewalk by a short wall and plants, so it's quiet and relaxing. I did the guinea fowl breast, aperol spritz, and a Swiss white wine. All very good. Staff was top notch and answered all my questions. Great place for lunch!

My family is traveling around Europe and we are only in Zurich for two nights but this restaurant and the services were definitely one of the highlights of the whole trip. Staff are very friendly and the food was delicious. Especially the birthday cake for my wife, decoration was beautiful and thoughtful. We will be back next time in town.

A reliable value in Zurich for many years. Above-average cuisine, a good price-performance ratio and friendly service transform me from a guest to a regular customer. In summer you can linger on the terrace and the dessert plates for special occasions are cult anyway. Definitely worth a visit, be it for a business lunch or in the evening. Reservation is definitely recommended. There are sufficient parking spaces in the immediate vicinity.

First of all, food was delicious. Especially the scallop and ravioli were amazing. However, I can not say the same about the service. We waited quite long to be seated at the entrance since all the staff were busy. Also, it was slow while taking the finished meals etc. In a regular restaurant, this may be fine. But it was the first time that I’ve seen a mediocre service quality in a ‘fine dining’ restaurant. The waiters were really polite and friendly, so maybe there was a lack of personnel on the day I’ve been there. Other than that, the ambience was simple and elegant.

The starter with prawns and mousse is nice. For the appetizer I ordered smoked salmon. The salmon tasted alright but the two little cheese like cube is delicious and is a delightful surprise. We ordered entrecôte for main dishes. The beef is good but the combination with the pumpkin purée and avocado is not a good match. I like my dessert which is cheesecake with apricot while the mousse for my boyfriend tasted normal. The price for 3 dishes is 85CHF which is a bit pricey for the portion.

We celebrated our daughters' birthday. The food was excellent - all three courses and the greetings from the kitchen were very tasty. The home-baked bread must definitely be mentioned - very tasty. The surprise was the dessert plates decorated with our daughters' names! Richly decorated with sayings and pictures with chocolate writing - we were really happy! Thank you!

We had a wonderful evening. The whole team made this possible for us. The waitress and the head waiter gave us very good advice, especially when it came to wine accompaniment. The table was beautifully decorated (upon request in the comments field when making the reservation). My husband was also asked for details and so we had a wonderful surprise with the dessert plate at the end. The food was not only fantastically prepared, it also tasted exceptional. The deer mezzalune are highly recommended. If you have something to celebrate, this is definitely the right place for you. Many thanks again to the whole team for the wonderful, successful evening.

Everything was perfect and beyond expectation. We did not know what to expect, but right as we sat down, Dominic came over and explained to us what the menu items were and he was so impeccably friendly that we felt so comfortable right away. I ordered the salmon with saffron sour cream for a starter and the meatloaf as my main. Both of the dishes were delicious. My partner has the ravioili and cordon Bleu, which were amazing as well. The food was really on point, but what made our experience better was the super friendly service from Dominic. 10/10 for the food and 15/10 for the service. Will definitely visit again on my next visit to Zurich.

Always very fine food, cleverly cooked, different and special and yet somehow familiar. Very service is very nice and attentive. For me it's always a real treat and the best restaurant in Zurich. Also in April 2022.

Food was good, but not outstanding. I expected more based on the reviews. The service was bad and chaotic, there were sometimes very long waiting times and the staff wasn't exactly friendly. The concept with the different courses is special and original. Here you don't pay per dish, but rather decide how many courses you want and select the dishes per course. Good value for money, but wouldn't go here again.

Some of the best food I have experienced in Switzerland. The menu does keep changing so your experience will vary, but I can say that it serves delicious food all year round. The service, as I’ve heard in some reviews here, can get slow sometimes but this isn’t a place to usually spend 30 or less minutes eating. The restaurant does expect you to stay longer, but despite that it is a generally smaller venue so the waiters should easily be able to see you If you’re looking for something cozy with good food, Didi’s Frieden is my go-to

Our visit (my first!) to Didis Frieden was a revelation all around: the food was excellent in taste, composition and presentation, every course a little symphony. I ordered: - Starter: carrot mousse with Tasmanian mountain pepper on beluga lentils with roasted rape oil mayonnaise - Main course: Fried monkfish fillet with pulp, broccoli and dried tomatoes on white bean puree with orange butter sauce - Dessert: Passion fruit panna cotta with pineapple salad with mint and Pina Colada sauce I appreciate the very manageable menu and that you don't have to choose from 5000 dishes. M. Z. guided us through the evening very competently, attentively and charmingly. Very nice and quiet restaurant. Uncomplicated atmosphere, you immediately feel welcome and almost in a family setting. There is simply a good spirit, honesty and passion for the cause here. So nice that this still exists. Please stay like this at least until after my death!!

It was fantastically prepared with a lot of love, creativity and great products! The service was very attentive! The high level of family warmth ran through the entire evening! A culinary highlight! We were here for dinner and I thought the 3 course dinner was a success. Good cooking, excellent presentation and great varied products. Attentive and friendly staff. Hidden but still centrally located a few minutes walk to the main station. Reservation recommended as it is well attended.
