We enjoyed a truly unique experience @ elmiras kitchen. Every staff member made us feel comfortable and like at a friends house. The way the dishes were presented visually and verbally showed the sophistication in the teams motivation and creativity. I got to experience new tastes and combinations I didnt even knew existed, of course paired with an exquisite selection of perfectly to each course suited drinks. Special thanks to Nici who really took great care of us. Highly recommended to give it a try, vegetarian aswell as meat courses!

Great experience eating at this restaurant. The nonalcoholic drinks were particularly delicious! The amount of food was perfect. The atmosphere was fun and casual, like you were meeting with friends. The time went by quickly like it always does at a friend's dinner party. The music was good as well and you can find their playlist on Spotify (elmira animalbased).

Elmira exceeded my expectations in every way! I was impressed not only by the excellent cuisine, but also by the ambience. An open kitchen that allows me as a guest to watch the chefs at work and a minimalist yet comfortable oasis accompanied by (for me) very good taste in music gives the visit an additional dimension. Every bite was an explosion of flavors, artfully presented. A highlight was definitely the “Sarmë” reinterpreted by Vilson. The beverage accompaniment was also impressive and perfectly matched to the individual courses. All in all, I can only recommend the star restaurant. An unforgettable evening for me!

Located in an old factory, in the "basement" (don't worry, it's nice there!), you're initially surprised at what awaits you. The menu for the evening (surprise menu) is beautifully prepared on small cards (which you can take with you later) and for each course the menu is in a stand at the table - nice idea. The service is great, everything is explained, ingredients, preparation, origin and you can also have a great chat. The food is regional and really high quality, surprisingly prepared and fun. We'll definitely be back, there's absolutely no question about it!

Special experience The food was a constant culinary highlight, the alcoholic beverage accompaniment was also educational and varied (there is also a digestif upon request) and the entire staff was very committed, enthusiastic and courteous. Despite the windowless restaurant, it is also very cozy (especially in winter).

We felt very welcome and comfortable from the start. The food was fantastic and the fact that different menus (one person vegan, one vegetarian) were possible still excites me. Both Nici and everyone who cooked for us were attentive and explained everything in detail. The non-alcoholic accompanying drinks are also very noteworthy. This is a far cry from the usual limos found in other places. The only downside were two very loud people at the next table - but I don't want to blame that on the elmira. We had a wonderful evening and would love to come back!

Our experience at Elmira was amazing! The food was delicious, prepared with local and seasonal ingredients. Each dish decorated in a creative and beautiful way. The chefs were coming to our table explaining each course. Nici, the sommelier, proposed the drinks, with or without alcohol, pairing each course. I tried some of the ‘schrubs’ and they were so special! The ambiance was very cozy with a few tables and pleasant music. All of that was already fantastic, but what I appreciated most was how friendly, warm and welcoming the staff was. I really enjoyed the evening.

The team was working very professionally and guided us through the whole evening. We are looking forward to our next visit and are congratulating the team to the red and green Michelin star - absolutely deserved.

We had a wonderful evening at Elmira. The food is outstanding. Each course is unique and lovingly presented. We particularly remember the vegan bouilabaisse and the incredible dessert. There is also a very suitable and exciting drink accompaniment, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic! I've never had 7 delicious non-alcoholic drinks that match the food (e.g. kohlrabi scrub). The ambience is also very pleasant. The chefs and the sommelier led through the evening in a friendly and uncomplicated manner. For sure again!

While walking in Zurich I stumbled upon the Elmira restaurant. Not only did the visuals and design immediately pique my interest, but the concept also blew me away. What awaited us was a sustainable culinary experience. And we were not disappointed: we took the elevator down to the “cellar” in the old granary. Once you get off the lift, you immediately enter a pleasant atmosphere in this historic place. The room has been deliberately designed in detail and the charm of the old granary has been retained and continues to be noticeable. The concept also includes the modern open kitchen. It provides an exciting insight into what is happening in the kitchen. We were warmly welcomed by the sommelier Nici. We decided on the purely plant-based menu and then we started. What we immediately noticed: Every course is prepared with attention to detail. We consciously pay attention to regionality and seasonality, which is why we also used asparagus! The passion and enthusiasm of the employees was immediately noticeable. The chefs serve the dishes themselves and are available to answer any questions. Every single course was an absolute taste experience! A must go in Zurich, whether with your partner or friends and family!

What a feast for the eyes and the palate! Each course is a culinary masterpiece, creatively prepared with regional and seasonal products. Each course has a different wine and the sommelier told us the story behind it. Also worth mentioning is the non-alcoholic accompaniment with fine, mostly self-made juices, which really tasted extremely interesting. The restaurant is also nice: urban and yet familiar and quiet. We were very impressed by the excellent cuisine, good wine accompaniment, and the non-alcoholic (juice) drink accompaniment, including homemade shrubs and kombuchas as well as fine fruit juices. We found it very nice that the kitchen team personally served their creations. This restaurant in Zurich's District 5 is a must and an integral part of the map of good taste. A sustainable culinary experience in a class of its own! Each individual course is carefully put together and prepared from regional ingredients. You will always be pleasantly surprised with extras, such as a fermented carrot salad according to your grandmother's recipe or even a dessert with a delicious, almost unknown type of apple! No wish remains unfulfilled and is rounded off with a fine juice and wine accompaniment by the friendly, very competent sommelier. But it should also be mentioned that at Elmira you have the opportunity to move around in the open kitchen as a guest and to be able to watch the chef at work. It is even desirable to ask questions and suggestions about the courses and to immerse yourself in the interactive dining experience. All in all, a top address that I can only warmly recommend! We have already had the pleasure of eating or being a guest at Elmira twice, because this is much better: at Elmira you immediately feel very comfortable and at home thanks to the extremely friendly team. The menu is sensational; The courses are carefully coordinated, visually a feast for the eyes and tasted great. The oxtail ravioli in particular are heavenly and have the potential to go down in Elmira history as a “signature dish”. If you think of the Biotta treatment when you think of juice, you're wrong! The different juices are surprising, diverse and can absolutely keep up with the wine pairing. Many thanks to the whole team, we'll be back! :-)

What a location, what a concept! I particularly liked the kitchen, which was not separated from the dining room. No partition, nothing! Proximity is experienced here not only in the sense of product origin, but also between preparation and consumer.

I spent a wonderful evening with friends in (or in the?) elmira. I was particularly impressed by the excellent celery ice cream and the radishes. I'm also thrilled with the lighting concept! The service staff is really super competent and super friendly... they also take time for their customers and are always available for a quick joke... Bravo!

What fireworks! We were able to spend an unforgettable evening at elmira with friends and were amazed by the 7 courses. This was cooking on a heavenly level, a so-called work of art. What's also great is the ability to create a really tasty main course using ingredients like oxtail, tofu, mushrooms and lovage (which we don't really like). We are proud of you. Not a simple food intake, but seven extremely creative courses prepared with a lot of love. An individual drink for each course rounds off the culinary happiness. As a wine lover, I also really enjoyed the fruit juices and beer. A glass of champagne every now and then as a supplement would not affect your appetite...! Competent and friendly service, in-depth knowledge of the products and drinks served, with particular attention to sustainability. Another visit is planned.
