Honestly, as a customer, his unorthodox behavior bothered me. By the way, I was also ordering dessert. The choice fell on a semifreddo cheesecake to split in two since we were full with the pizza. The daughter serves me the semifreddo and as soon as I dip the spoon, I notice that the semifreddo was completely melted and foamy inside. I immediately thought she had made a mistake and served us a regular cheesecake and hoped it hadn't been put in the oven or anything. Let me start by saying that since it was a mini portion, with four spoonfuls it was already finished. When paying, I wanted to ask if it was a fresh cheesecake or semifreddo. I am told that it was too frozen and that he defrosted it in the microwave. 😱 I was pointing out to her that semifreddo should never be put in the microwave, when she avoided the discussion and walked away with an excuse. I paid the bill to the mother at the register and the daughter told her to leave the semifreddo alone. Dear managers, if a customer gives you constructive criticism and it is for your own good. You don't ignore the customer by avoiding them and thinking you can make up for it by not charging for the dessert. I was paying for it, also because in the end I ate it anyway, even though I didn't immediately know about the "deception". In case you didn't know, semifreddos can be consumed immediately or immediately after a few minutes once removed from the freezer and should not be defrosted in the microwave! If anything, the best technique for defrosting food is to wrap it in a plastic bag and immerse it in a container of cold water because water is a better conductor of heat than air.
