We were there for an event and ate. The food was delicious, the location was modern and the service (mostly) was very attentive and courteous. One employee was hard to beat in terms of arrogance. She greeted us in a more than unfriendly way, was cheeky and was anything but an accommodating hostess. If we had had an alternative nearby, something to eat before the event, we would have left the restaurant immediately after the unsuccessful greeting.

Spätzli floury, panna cotta (kafi hit) soggy. Luckily the service was super friendly, something you rarely find in Swiss gastronomy, so it was extremely noticeable. Kudos to the staff.

Pasta was cold, vegetables were bland, the rest was ok.

Very nicely renovated, a real joy! Was there many times before the renovation, with the board of EVHerisau saying that the food and staff were always absolutely perfect! Never had anything to complain about, I'm happy to go there. A highlight on the garden terrace in summer, I particularly like the lighting (floor lamps)!
