This hotel is a nightmare in Switzerland! I only sent a message the day before check-in to check in. The time was only 1400-1500, which canceled all our previous itineraries! On the first day of check-in, the hotel staff asked us strangely if we had brought an extra child. At that time, we felt that she might be joking. We responded with a simple sentence and she left. At breakfast time the next day, we arrived at the restaurant. The hotel staff asked how many people there were. I raised three fingers and answered her: Three persons thank you. She then looked back and forth at least four times. After the meal was completed, the two hotel staff ran They came to the room and asked us to pay because four of us came during breakfast just now. After explaining for more than half an hour, they asked them to watch CCTV and went into the room to search. Of course, they just wanted to defraud money and did not do anything. In the end, in order not to ruin the mood of the trip and not to be defrauded again, we lost the money for 2 days and transferred to another hotel. Let’s also talk about the hotel facilities. You have to carry your luggage and climb the stairs! The bathroom is too narrow and the shower gel is only enough for one person! I searched all over the room for a charging place and found it was at the front door. It was very inconvenient and there was only one! Only the staff comes to you, otherwise you can't find her! Breakfast items will not be added as long as they are used up! Of course, there is also the attitude of the staff, which was already bad when we checked in! There are too many things I won’t say anymore, this experience is too painful!

We stayed in First Lodge for one night, 18 Feb 24. Place is walking distance from the train station. Cozy place with breakfast provided. Convenient location. Could have been 5 Star but I gave 4 star because of lack of elevator. Those with heavy luggage will have to struggle to lift your luggage to upper floors.

Very nice staff, rooms simple but completely sufficient! Gladly again :)

The food was better than I expected

It’s a really great accommodation! First of all, the staff is friendly. It's a shame that the location is far from Grindelwald Station, but it's nice that there's a bus connection and the First Gondola stop right in front. Just the pressure of the uphill road and stairs... you can overcome it well on the first day, haha... As soon as I entered the accommodation, I was first surprised at how spacious it was, and secondly because all the fixtures and furniture were so cleanly organized. And more than anything, the view... it's really crazy. During my stay, the Jungfrau and First tours ended early, so I just sat on the terrace and drank coffee, which was nice. It’s a blessing to have a pretty house in front! Highly recommended if you are staying in Grindelwald!!!

I experienced the worst service. The condition and location of the accommodation are very good as other reviews say. However, the behavior that the glasses-wearing, dark-haired woman showed us was enough to make us never want to come here again. I was eating breakfast, and although there was still enough time, I was told to put the food away and eat quickly before leaving. When checking in/checking out, she spoke with a very unpleasant expression about the accommodation description, and when the conversation did not proceed smoothly due to the language difference, she glared at me. I came to leave good memories, but thanks to that woman, I ended up having the worst time. If the owner of the accommodation sees this review, I carefully request that she be fired immediately. Otherwise, future customers will also experience the worst service.

Next to the first cable car station It is very suitable for people who have to go first in the morning to fix their hair. But there is a continuous slope in front of the hotel Please think twice about pushing luggage There is no elevator in the hotel, so you need to carry your luggage up one flight of stairs. The room type we stayed in this time was a double room with attached bathroom. The room is old but very clean Not many breakfast options but enough to replenish energy Friendly staff For the price, there is nothing to complain about.

The rooms are good. The decor is nothing to speak of. They keep a room freshener in the room, and its strong, I could see some people getting a headache from it. Other than that, it's great.

Nice people - we reached very late in the night and they kept things for us in a decent way with pictures of pathway to our apartment. It was nice and kind gesture. Apartment is well spaced and neatly maintained. Loved the view from Balcony. Well kitten and well maintained. Advise to book in advance. No breakfast for apartment people, but you can avail on payment of 20 CHF. It is nice in 2 ways - for early risers not many options for breakfast till 10 am local time. Loved to come again

Spent one night there. The service was good and friendly. The room (an absolute hole!) including parking space was far too expensive at €105. It was old, very small and the bathroom/toilet was only available as a shared shower/toilet. I would not recommend this accommodation.

The mattress is comfortable and good for sleeping. It’s right next to the First cable car station. The single room is spacious and has a sink in the room. Although the bathroom and toilet are shared, they are shared between two rooms. They are cleaned twice a day. The bathroom and toilet are kept clean and tidy. The price is also considered one of the more cost-effective in Grindelwald. Nothing to fault

This place is priced as a 3 star hotel. It has no meals. No tea or coffee in rooms and you cannot eat in your room. There is a totally inadequate shared space for eating and watching tv. So small a few guests take over the whole are. There is NO ONE. on site after 4pm. This is not a hotel. It is a backpacker type accommodation. Rooms are big and clean. Ours was totally exposed as in everyone walking by could see though the mesh curtains as they passed directly by our room. It was very noisy from other rooms toilets flushing etc. Its worth half the price and max 2 star accommodation. Staff friendly and helpful.

The location is the best! The room was clean and warm. The bathroom was also clean, with enough towels. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were polite.
