Fischerstube Zürihorn in Zürich

I can only praise the goat cheese in filo dough with salad garnish and rhubarb compote as well as the two vegetarian main courses. The fact that the starter on the menu is not offered separately is a bit strange for a restaurant in this price range. The ambience and location are great. We'd love to come back.

If you want to eat something good quickly and not too expensive by Zurich standards and the weather allows you to eat outside, this is a recommended place! The seating is not particularly comfortable but you have a beautiful landscape, you sit right by the lake and the service is very friendly. Hamburgers and fish are good.

Reserved via internet, very convenient. Settle yourself at a large and comfortable table, with a view of the lake. Attentive and courteous service. Very beautiful location. Quality food.

An attempt was made to charge us 15% more than we had distorted without issuing an invoice. That doesn't work at all. Will now avoid the Fischerstube.

A beautiful building with a great atmosphere and exceptionally fine food right on Lake Zurich

We once again spent a very nice evening with fine food and drinks in the Fischerstube. The food and service were great. Mr. Selcuk also handled our special requests competently and quickly. That impressed us very much. We'd love to come back!

The food and service were excellent. Plate decoration and taste perfect 👌 A star was deducted for the ambience because we were there late in the evening to eat and didn't get to feel much of the beautiful view and the Mediterranean atmosphere other than on the plate. I'm sure that in summer on the terrace it can be the perfect evening. We'd love to come again. And can only recommend it. See you later 🙌

Very good restaurant with a wonderful view of Lake Zurich and the city. Very good service. A little more selection of red wines would be desirable.

2024: Update. I am now a regular guest and my enthusiasm for the Fischerstube and the Fischergarten has grown. In the afternoon there is always a place for coffee and drinks on the terrace or in the foyer. The non-alcoholic drinks in particular are first class. Favorite: Nogroni. I really liked him. Wonderfully tart, great color thanks to a dash of grape juice, great idea. And the 3dl is very welcome, because nobody likes sipping tiny, watery non-alcoholic mocktails with ice. I only noticed it in the Fischerstube because the Nogroni has just the right vibe and a good price-performance ratio. 2022: We sat outside in the Fischergarten (self-service area). Hardly any other restaurant nearby has such a wonderful view! But we only drank something. Unfortunately, the food didn't appeal to us at all. It smelled like a canteen. Looking at the other guests' plates, the selection was not very inspiring. Typical run-of-the-mill excursion restaurant: fry, sausage, cake and sandwiches. (The Hafen-Enge Beizli does a better job.) The team seemed slightly unrehearsed, but was very friendly to the guests.

Very nice restaurant. We only took the main course from the menu (small portion of croissants with minced meat). Of the 38.- CHF for the entire menu, 33.- were charged. This amount was disproportionate to the very small portion.

There were 4 of us and we were all very satisfied and would love to come back.

Very great place great food and location

Simple dishes for a lot of money are of course dependent on the location. Still, all in all, it was very tasty.

We had a very nice Monday evening in the Fischerstube on Lake Zurich. It's worth reserving online. The reception was very attentive and hospitable. Interior design with lots of wood, nice for the eyes and the nose! The selection on the menu is just right (not too big), and the food tasted freshly prepared. Happy to come back! I recommend it to everyone.

Very nice atmosphere, right on the lake. Bright, modern, cozy and unfussy (no white tablecloths etc.), without appearing simple or cheap; High-quality glasses, solid cutlery, good bread and olive oil to accompany the meal. Tables are not too close together and the acoustics are good, so you can still have a good conversation. Online reservation was uncomplicated and special requests were confirmed by email. The food and selection were both very good and there was something for everyone, whether fish, meat or vegetarian. The wines offered were all good, white and red, and the price-performance ratio was good. The service was quick and friendly. The waiting time between the starter and the main course was a bit longer than you would like, but still acceptable given the busy restaurant at lunchtime. Overall, an all around lovely experience. Gladly again!

We ate fish snacks. Were good, but nothing special. Price was at the upper limit. Since it was very foggy outside, there was no nice view, which was a shame. Will try again in the summer

Food was ok. You could also say it was good, but certainly not special or something that would make me want to go there again. The restaurant was still fully occupied and the service was accordingly busy. Furnishings modern but unsympathetic and neutral.

Luckily the weather was good, so even in January we could have lunch on your sun-drenched terrace overlooking the lake and with a spectacular view of snow-capped Alps. The food (fish and salad [not chips]) was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented, with generous portions. Very courteous and friendly service. We couldn't have imagined a better way to spend our lunch-time! Much gratitude....

Cool wooden ceiling construction, great location right on the lake

We were at their restaurant on Sunday afternoon and it was very, very busy! Nevertheless, the Fischerstube team didn't miss anything and once again a big compliment to the gentleman who welcomed us (without hair). He was always friendly and made every effort to ensure that everyone's wishes were fulfilled! It doesn't exist everywhere. Thank you very much for the wonderful time we were able to spend with you.

The latte macchiato was nothing more than hot milk, the waiter was inattentive, the warm cake was ice cold, you were only served after asking several times... Service is different!

Sensational restaurant, highly recommended. Attentive waiters. The only problem was, something wasn't quite fresh. The raw fish? My colleague and I both ate the New Year's Eve menu and had a bloated stomach and stomach pain at night

The great ambience was surpassed by the lonely waitress who did her best while her manager kept the phone ringing, didn't take off her coats and gossiped with the chef. The food is tailored to a harmonious price/performance structure, with the price dominating.

We spent a fantastic and culinary perfect evening on New Year's Eve. Pretty much everything was right - from the attentive service staff to the fireworks. Thank you Fischerstube, it wasn't the last time we were with you!!

We just arrived to Zurich and this was our first place we decided to eat, the location and the views were great food was average but the so called SERVICE was HORRIBLE!!! We came with our 2years old son who was sleeping in the stroller and when the brought the food the waiter was a bit loud and i’ve asked him in a polite way to reduce his voice, on which he said sorry and left and never came back to check if we need anything else, didn’t bring our second dish that we order or if we need any drinks. When we came inside i asked him why was that on which he replied that i told him in a wrong way to lower his voice… I asked if I offended him in any way so i can apologize on what he said no and started to say some nonsense “that he is Italian and thats his way of speaking and that he doesn’t have kids and he doesn’t care and if we need quiet place than we have to sit home”. And apparently he is the Manager of this place… Then i understood why it was Empty. Its just pity because the views were really Beautiful!!!

Great restaurant right on the water. The food and service were top, can only recommend it. The vegan menu is still a bit narrow but I assume that the offering will be expanded in the future.

The kitchen is closed from 8.30 p.m. and from 9 p.m. all other tables are loudly cleared and moved during dinner. It's a shame that the actually good food doesn't taste as good

Food good, price on the upper limit, service average, ambience OK, unfortunately inappropriate lighting. Light only comes from the center of the ceiling. Depending on where you sit, you are irradiated like in a solarium or you sit in the shade. For a location like this after a major renovation and investment plus this location, I expected more. Repetition factor 10%

Four of us were there for a big birthday and were served very well. The table was beautifully decorated (we were able to bring our own bouquet of flowers) and then there was a surprise chocolate dessert with a sparkler. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, the wooden ceiling is a work of art. Service excellent.

During my visit to Fischerstube Zürihorn, I ordered the beef fillet stroganoff, a dish that costs 45 francs. I asked to leave out the mushrooms, but unfortunately that wasn't possible. The dish came with mushrooms and some of the meat was undercooked. There were also very oily spaetzle. The taste of the food was okay, but the price-performance ratio didn't convince me. I would not have identified the potato soup I ordered as potato soup in a blind test. The service also left nothing to be desired. The service wasn't particularly attentive, which detracted from the overall experience. However, the restaurant itself offers a nice atmosphere and attractive architecture. Its location directly on Lake Zurich is definitely a plus. Nevertheless, overall the restaurant didn't quite meet my expectations. Therefore I can only give it three stars.

The service was bad. Although only a few tables were occupied, she didn't come to the table much. We had to actively call to order wine again. In addition, the friendliness leaves a lot to be desired (snippy). Price/performance is not right at all. The food was just ok, small portion, way too expensive. You pay for the name. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. We won't go again.

I didn't know about this location. Somehow on a walk with friends this popped up right in front of us. We went in. The inside is super nice, great design and the tables are not too packed. We had the luck that there weren't a lot of people when we went there. Super friendly and attentive staff. We ordered a Zvieriplaettli, this was great for everyone. The ambience is great, you feel like you sit right on the lake of Zurich. The menu itself is mostly Fish but there are a few options without fish. Definitely a nice place to go.

We only came for drinks but for that we highly recommend this place. Very good service, the staff always made sure we are doing well and have everything we need. We will be back soon.

top location, top service, top food 😊

The ambience is nice. It's just a shame that the seating lounges in the middle of the restaurant are currently empty. obscure the beautiful view. The menu is inexpensive. The starter (salad with quiche) was delicious. However, we didn't like the main course (homemade spinach ricotta tortellini with tomato sauce). I was nauseous afterwards the whole afternoon/evening until the next day. My mother had an upset stomach. While I was eating I realized that the tortellini might not have been completely cooked, as some of the dough was still hard and the filling was cold. Unfortunately, the tomato sauce tasted like it came from a can. We can well imagine that the fish there is excellent, but since we are vegetarians there wasn't much of a selection. The view is unique.

Subtle woody taste (larch?) reminded us of the Alps.

A safe place for very fine food, top service, beautiful views and - very important - good acoustics. It's never too loud for a good conversation.

We experienced an incredibly poor service experience at this restaurant. We visited the restaurant for our company meeting and started with drinks with the intent to purchase food; the servers were very cold, didn't check in, and just seemed like they wanted us to give up our table so they could give it to another customer. They were out of a very common beer that we wanted to order. Additionally, they wouldn't add another chair to our table to accommodate an arriving member of our party. Had we received better service, we would have continued the evening by ordering food. This restaurant seemed like a wannabe five star restaurant disguised as a two star.

Very rude staff, especially at the door and also the girl serving inside! The food is below average, we had the pork chop that was extremely dry and chewy. The view of course was stunning but it’s not really enough to put up with that service…

We reserved this place for 4 people on a Sun @7:30pm. Perfect view. Perfect service. Perfect FOOD! The fish & chips were amazing - surprisingly all 4 of us ordered this! The various desserts that the others ordered were also very delicious. The service was fab and there are many veg options as well. This is a lovely outdoor restaurant on the lake! Outdoor seating is lovely even in the night as well ✅ I would definitely recommend this place and SHALL BE BACK! 🌟

We had the fish lunch special. Nicely-sized portion, attractively served. The service could have been a little more attentive, but I prefer that to overly intrusive.

Beautiful view, but… - Table in the blazing sun (35 degrees in the shade), parasol cannot be tilted (reserved long in advance) - Adult food was mediocre - The children's chicken came to the table raw (only one was taken off the bill) - the wrong type of ice cream came with dessert and although we didn't want a new dessert because we were already slightly annoyed, the waiter gave us a new dessert and said snippily "Here you go"... - There were items on the bill that we hadn't even ordered. The waiter simply put the difference on the table in cash, even though we had paid by card, no apology, perhaps the employees of the Fischerstube also share in a percentage of the sales...?! The Fischerstube has a remarkable location, but for an establishment in this price category I expect things to run more smoothly. Unfortunately, we can't recommend it, except perhaps for a drink in the setting sun. But please check the invoice. There is good food elsewhere in Zurich. A pity.

we had a group of 18 people with a fixed menu to make it easier, however a half hour wait for a green salad and another half hour for main course was not efficient. so do not recommend for group. location is beautiful after renovation

Very nice atmosphere right on the lake. You feel very comfortable. The service is good, but still needs improvement for the price range. The menu is clear. We found the “Häppli” starter to be overpriced. However, the soup was well portioned and tasty. The main course “char” was excellent. My guests chose the "Seemannsgarn" pasta with fish and seafood. A bit uninspired. We found the dessert “Panna Cotta” to be overpriced and not very special. The iced coffee was very good. The wine list is very clear and interesting. Reasonable wine prices. Conclusion: Very nice atmosphere, something for young and old, whether casual or elegant. The price-performance ratio is okay for Zurich and at this location. We will come back.

Very nice terrace on the lake, service very friendly and the tartare was also good, I ordered it very spicy, could have been even spicier. Unfortunately, the second time with the spicy tartare it didn't work.

Stopped by here spontaneously and found a place. If you want to sit outside you should probably make a reservation as the places are popular and right on the lake. The atmosphere inside is also nice. The food (fish crispy) was good and there could have been 1-2 more crispy.

Fantastic location! - We were here as a group and enjoyed sitting on the pleasantly shady terrace directly on/above the water on this hot summer day. The table was beautifully decorated, the service staff were very prompt, friendly and uncomplicated.

My first time here. The gazpacho with shrimp was ideal for the hot summer temperatures 🌡 😋 Nice atmosphere, both inside and out. I was perhaps slightly disappointed that I couldn't have a Campari Spritz 🍹, but it wasn't that important. The fisch 🐟 knusperli were really good, with an equally good tartare sauce and homemade chips. Service was fast and friendly. I probably wouldn't aim just for this place, but it was convenient for our evening in the cinema.

Our host Roman was very friendly and professional. We were well looked after and had a wonderful evening as a group.

Beautiful location, especially when the weather is nice the view from the terrace is fantastic. The staff were very attentive and very friendly - we followed their recommendation: the starter was the soup of the day (one of the best gazpacho I've ever had with shrimps) and the main course was the sailor's yarn (homemade whole-grain tagliolini with various types of fish in a white wine sauce) - a dream! Be sure to try the iced coffee for dessert, as the coffee is already mashed into the ice cream. Absolutely fair prices. I will definitely go there more often.

We ate outside, very nice place, view directly of the lake and the mountains. Food very good. Staff was very friendly. But maybe understaffed? We definitely had to wait a long time for everything. It was my wife's birthday and had previously asked if they could make a little something for dessert. They agreed. Unfortunately it was forgotten (just like a year ago on my birthday).
