Super detailed advice on site - even though I said that the espresso machines were probably a little over our budget. The store is certainly paradise for aficionados.

The team at Kaffeewerkstadt gave us very friendly and detailed advice before purchasing a portafilter machine. They even had a carpenter make a wooden handle especially for us to replace the plastic handles on the machine. When you hand over the machine, you will receive a helpful two-hour briefing. A very friendly, competent team that offers great service. An absolute recommendation!

Unfortunately I can't agree with all the praise here. Have a major service done for an ECM Synchronika for 500 CHF. After switching it on for the first time, I immediately noticed that something was wrong with the valve...it was bubbling the whole time. The machine was then picked up two more times (each time I had to carry it to the car with the courier). Even now there is still something wrong with the valve. But I didn't have the nerve to write again. I was always assured on the phone how well the machine was tested ;) Two stars because people are friendly and the machine was picked up without any problems. According to the answer, this means that the valves broke during transport. Ok :) And why exactly should I pay for transport if something doesn't work after 3 times despite several hours of testing.

Anyone who is interested in coffee, machines and equipment and wants to experience real coffee expertise has come to the right place at KaffeeWerkStadt in Zurich. We bought our portafilter machine there and are more than satisfied with the purchase advice, as well as the introductory course and the machine itself. Flo and his team are very competent and put a lot of effort into advising customers. All of our questions and concerns were answered. We felt comfortable from the first moment and definitely made the right decision with the purchase. We also had very good experience with the introductory course for our own machine and mill. Another big advantage is the parking space in front of the store, which makes it easy to load your purchases, which is not often the case in Zurich.

Unfortunately no purchase was made yesterday, but Tschüge still advised me with a lot of patience and passion. You really feel in good hands there. I don't know exactly where my machine journey will take me, but I'm really excited about the coffee workshop! Personal and simply good and passionate! Thanks!

Heartfelt recommendation! If you are looking for a high-quality coffee machine including top advice, which is (unfortunately) no longer a given today, you have to go to Kaffeewerkstadt! We had a two-hour (!) consultation during which Flo explained to us the differences between the respective coffee machine systems. For us as laypeople to benefit from the unbeatable expertise of the Kaffeewerkstadt team was priceless. But when they told us that an introductory course on our own, newly acquired machine and mill was included in the purchase price, we were speechless! You don't have to go home and spend hours trying out something you don't really know anything about. Instead, you can happily unpack your portafilter machine, in our case your first portafilter machine, and enjoy incredibly good coffee. As much and whenever you want! We felt in good hands and very welcome in the coffee factory town from A to Z. This team delivers work that is rarely seen today. With in-depth knowledge and most importantly; huge joy in their job, which you can feel and which is contagious! Good service and competence are still priceless for me. Bought a coffee machine and grinder. Over two hours of top instruction with espresso and cappuccino tasting and at the end you get some fine coffee beans. My wife and I can highly recommend the Kaffeewerkstadt.

Purchased the ecm coffee machine, in addition the grinder and some other additional items. The staff running the shop is super cool, informative and extremely patient while explaining the differences between machines and so on. Since the coffee machine weighs almost 30kg it was delivered to the doorstep (the same day). Extremely happy with my choice and definitely recommend this shop for fellow coffee aficionados.

With the machine on the Postiwegeli from Winti to Wiedikon for service. It was worth it. You can feel the enthusiasm for coffee, the advice is top and René took the time it takes to make good coffee. Fine selection of products. Things could have worked out a little better with the repair date.

Better to buy somewhere else. I went specifically to this store from Lausanne with my mother-in-law and we were turned away. They only accept customers who book an appointment privately. We were not offered any other solution.

It's a shame that if you try to negotiate the price, it's dismissed as a waste of time. I think that will change as demand decreases.

Simply top! I recently bought an ECM, I received excellent advice, the instructions were great and it was a lot of fun. They didn't have the mill I wanted in their range at the time, but they organized it for me.

Lovely atmosphere and very well informed consultation. They truly care about coffee and customers. It's one of those few places you trust that they sell you the perfect thing for you, even if it's nothing.... Oh and the coffee is great as well.

It is a lovely shop with what it seems really good equipment for sale. However, the coffee I bought and which they recommended me as a good medium roast was not specialty coffee. It did not not have the aroma of freshly roasted beans when I opened the package. And the espresso shot just doesn’t taste right. I have been using coffee from a small roastery in Engelberg with our new solis triple heat machine and we were super happy. Here is a photo of the coffee I bought which tastes like a supermarket coffee (according to me)

Plus regular specialties where my highlight is the Kaffeeschmitte roasts. These are found almost nowhere else. Flo and the team are simply great! First-hand advice and tips are not available in any other online shop!

cool little coffee shop,... probably more targeted for real coffee enthusiasts and professional baristas, as they primarily sell high end coffee machines,.. but they do have your specialty coffee makers like the hario siphon pot or their pour over system and i believe local roast coffee ... they also sell the best hand coffee grinder on the planet by comandente :)
