A genuine Italian restaurant in the heart of the old town of Zug. The name is referring to the old fish market, it’s not a fish restaurant.

Everything worked wonderfully and was very pleasant.

Have been here a few times already and everything we tried was very tasty, awesome service, nice atmosphere.

White wine Chardonnay = fine, starter R.Karpaccio = delicious, Pizza Melanzane = delicious, dessert = delicious and very harmoniously seasoned (mango passion fruit dessert - expertly prepared ✅), friendly and prompt service 😊

The restaurant is in a wonderful location, in the old town with a view of the lake and sunset. The service was also great, very attentive. Waiting time was rather long (but it was also a nice Saturday evening, so ok). Unfortunately the food was a bit of a disappointment for us. We had high expectations that were not met. Pizza completely overloaded, bacon practically only made of fat, steak & risotto not a masterpiece in terms of taste. It's a shame, I remembered it differently...

Tap water for Fr.5.50 is simply too expensive. Otherwise it was wonderful.

Good food, attentive service and the ambience outside invites you to linger. Not to be forgotten are the lovingly decorated tables. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back again and again!

I have ordered papardeles with mushrooms ..very greasy , to much speck.. The carbonara also was not great.. Perhaps it was just tje time but we have not enjoyed our dinner .

I expected more from this restaurant! 1) The room is small and noisy. No measures to reduce the noise level. Therefore no pleasant conversation possible. 2) The pizza was partly burnt when I ate it. It's a real shame because the rest tasted good. However, trying to cover up the burnt part with sauce is not possible! OK for takeaway. Not suitable for a date or a pleasant dinner.

Come to Zug ever so often for business....so had a chance to try many of the places in the town. While this place seems very popular , I wasn't impressed by few of the dishes (ex: the sea bass dish).... Service was good and my colleagues were particularly happy with the gnocchi....so maybe should have ordered that. overall ok considering the other places around....just 3 stars.

A beautiful square in Zug's old town, large selection of food and wine. Friendly service, fair prices. My racks of lamb with risotto were very tasty, well seasoned, a little overcooked for my taste.

located at the old town of Zug: friendly staff, found us a table even if we did not have a reservation (but could only stay till 20:30), and delicious dishes. A bit more expensive than a 'regular meal' in Switzerland, but I guess that's Zug for you. Highly recommended for those looking for italian options in Zug.

Tasty Italian cuisine in the middle of the historic village of Zug

Hello Sami, maybe you remember me? It was the Zug Lake Festival and we were looking for something to eat. Good friends recommended your restaurant. Unfortunately there was no seat but you told us that we could order 5 pizza take away. We should be patient, about 30 minutes. It was a full house, your staff did a great job running back and forth. We were all amazed at how friendly your service staff worked under so much stress. The restaurant inside was empty where we waited for our pizza. The time passed 30... 60... 90 minutes but we still hadn't received any pizza. We understood that because we experienced the stress in your restaurant for 1.5 hours. When guests who had ordered take away after us had received the pizza before us, I wanted to politely speak to you about it. But you suddenly don't seem to understand my language. After 90 minutes you finally asked us again what kind of pizza we had ordered??? That can happen with so much work. After 100 minutes you handed the pizzas over to us. We asked you politely that we could have been informed. Or whether you can do something to accommodate us? For example, a coffee on the house. Your reaction was that if I were you I would never have the nerve to ask me something like that!!! Dear Sami, your behavior continues. You gave me the 100 back and ripped the pizza out of my hands. Sami, I can't explain your behavior, but I'm sure I'll never set foot in your restaurant to eat with you again. For your future, I hope you will be able to deal with conflicts correctly the next time you are stressed. I still greet you warmly Reto.

Not a bad Italian restaurant. There are no complaints about the service. The only negative that I didn’t like was that I asked to take away half of the pizza with me - they wrapped it in foil and that was it... The food is delicious. I would say the prices are above average.

Carpaccio from octopus, fantastic! And the pasta with seafruit was even more impressive: Never have I had such a fillet plate of pasta. Often you have to search for the sea fruits, but here you have to search to find the spaghetti :-) What a treat! We also had a mozzarella/tomato salad and a fish dish with saffran sauce - also excellent. The wines per glas are pretty small, better go for a bottle, good wines though

A great restaurant for lovers of Italian cuisine! It is often fully booked for lunch. Therefore, ideally, make a reservation. But it works that way too. I asked exactly what I could eat because of my gluten intolerance. And there's even gluten-free pasta. Bravo 👏🏻 Not a given in all restaurants in Zug.

Really nice restaurant, with extremally friendly staff and delicious food. Highly recommended for the afternoons and evenings, it's located in the old town, but you may enjoy sunset view from there too!

i went to this restaurant with 3 of my friends earlier today. it was a celebration for one of my friends. we had made reservations for 18:30 expecting to be sitting inside where it was protected and warm due to the unfortunate weather, however when we arrived we were forced to sit outside. it was cold, and we were not fully covered from the rain. the waiters gave us looks and mocked us when we had ordered our food, even though we gave them a tip and were very polite. overall, the food is really good but the service could have improvements.

The terrace is nice and good located, the food was kind of good. Even when they are kind the service is bad, super slow, Noone properly looking after the tables. We waited for ONE hour for our food, during all these time noone reach us out to offer us some drinks or appetizers or even a simple reason of such absurd waiting time. I think it was a bad day for them, maybe is god to try in a different time with less people.

The food is always good but last time we went , we sat in the wine bar next door and were served 6 plates ( 3 starters + 3 main courses) by a waiter who apparently hadn't been trained to wear his mask properly. I am pretty sure the rules in Switzerland are that a waiter HAS to wear a mask at all times.....Well not in Fischmart & that is very upsetting as a potential contaminated customer.

Scheinbar im Schatten von Aklin und Rathauskeller ist der Fischmarkt eine schöne Ergänzung. Es muss nicht unbedingt Pizza sein (war auch gut), aber die feinen Alternativen wie Pasta und Fisch lohnt es sich auszuprobieren.

Das Restaurant hat super Essen und eine riesen Auswahl an Speisen. Ist unser absoluter Lieblings-Italienier, besser gehts nicht! Der Service ist sehr freundlich & zuvorkommend. Die Preise sind angemessen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir finden die Preise auch vollauf Fair.Preisgünstige, vielfältige Auslese an Essen und Drinks. Ich habe mich mit meiner ABF wirklich ungemein darüber gefreut, schließlich ein Wirtshaus in unserer Nähe entdeckt zu haben, welches wir uns ohne Bedenken auch bis dato am Monatsende leisten können.Die Stühle sind ungemein angenehm und den Abstand zwischen den Plätzen finde ich sehr vertretbar. Dort bekommt man kein bisschen das Gefühl, wie Sardinen in der Dose Abend zu dinieren.Wirklich schneller und freundlicher Service. Ich finde, dass das ganze Personal dort einen guten Job gemacht hat.

Was für ein großartiger Ort! Das Restaurant liegt eingebettet in die Altstadt von Zug mit Blick auf den Zugsee. Essen und Getränke super! Service einfach hervorragend! Wir werden zurück sein.
