Great restaurant, great dinner and atmosphere. Elaborate dishes and special cocktails. Refined and decisive flavours, some very particular but appreciated. Excellent service, friendly, nice and prepared. Price in line with Lugano. Good wine list although this time I opted for pairing with mixology & wines. Recommended (note on the bill, 6-course menu and mixology & wine pairing for one, I also wanted to try an extra dish and ordered the "winter beef" and an extra glass of wine).

We chose the 4-course tasting menu with accompanying wine. A continuous discovery of flavors in which all the skill and creativity of the chef is evident. The choice of wines that accompanied each course and the attentive service were also very welcome, all making this evening an unforgettable experience.

My colleagues and I had dinner a couple of times at Flamel and were very satisfied. The staff is extremely polite, especially the maitre Davide, who satisfied us with our requests, taking care of every detail of the service. Nothing escapes him, not even an empty glass, and he has the room completely under control. The portions are generous, the dishes delicious, well cooked and tastefully plated. They satisfied both the eye and the palate. You will definitely want to ask for an encore of their bread and butter. A gem from Flamel: the urban garden from which they obtain aromatic herbs and sprouts that complete the dishes and most of the products are local and 0 km. Furthermore, they collaborate with the Loverciano association which introduces children with special needs to the world of work. A beautiful work of solidarity. Lastly, the prices are definitely in line with the proposals and the location. Definitely a place to recommend and where we will return soon.

An enjoyable evening with a composed menu. Combined flavors, but not too many components, arranged into a culinary painting. Everything accompanied by the unique mixology cocktails, creating a wonderful evening of enjoyment. The raw materials of the cocktails are self-produced or from local production. I can certainly confirm the statement on the restaurant’s homepage: “The cocktails give you immortality and every dish enchants you.”

The best cocktail I ever had, aperitivo di mamma tastes like sunshine. I don’t know why but it reminds me of brazil. Exactly the right amount of sweet and bitter simply divine. They do everything right we had different dishes all was perfect. Risotto and pasta al dente, the meat soft and tender….

I had an excellent meal with my family at FLAMEL. First off, the ambiance is great, it is an elegant environment without being stuffy or overly fussy. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive and helpful with recommendations. The food was delicious!! Very original plates that meld local fresh ingredients with a modern preparation. Hard to say if I enjoyed the pasta or dessert more! I will come back my next time in Lugano.

Good service and courtesy, well-kept location, good plating. All in order for a recommended restaurant Michelin and contemporary but honestly the dishes didn't enchant me and I didn't find a common thread in the tasting menu; It really seemed to me that the dishes were served randomly one after the other. I also added the cocktail pairing, which didn't impress me either; all cocktails were served in the same glasses and were quite similar to each other; I expected more variety and imagination. In short, tasting menu plus cocktail pairing 220 CHF. Honestly at this level there are 2 Michelin stars, you have to work harder!!

I organized a business lunch in this restaurant of the iconic Lugano Dante hotel. The staff is very kind, knowledgeable and empathetic. The dishes were delicious, especially the risotto with mushrooms. Flexibility and attention to service are central. The dishes are good and tasty, the portions too. I recommend it to anyone who wants a discreet indoor place to eat in an elegant setting. There are also options for vegans, vegetarians and intolerants. I have also often stayed in the hotel for more than 2 years now and I have never encountered any accidents.

Getting a cocktail pairing with a 6 course menu is genius and more restaurants have to do it. It's an expensive place but that's expected for this type of venue. It's not michelin level yet but it's not far off. The use of local ingredients and some relatively bold choices in flavors are nice to experience. The service is very good, we got assisted by two friendly guys. The sommelier takes his job very serious, he even got a glass of red wine tattood on his arm.

Every time I pass through Lugano, Flamel is a regular stop for an excellent aperitif. The staff always knows how to best advise you on new cocktails made at KM 0 directly by them. The light lunch proposal is also highly recommended, especially in summer to eat in the square!! Also highly recommended as a work cafe: I also stopped in the following day, the staff made the internal room available to me so I could work in smart working during a coffee break.

We went here for dinner yesterday and had a very nice evening. The dishes are very clever and offer both exciting flavor combinations and creative uses of ingredients. We particularly liked the fact that the ingredients all come from close proximity, as envisaged in the 0km concept, and that is a big plus point. As a starter I had the tartare, with homemade flatbread. Both the bread and the tartare were excellent and tasted great. For the main course I had duck. The duck tasted absolutely great. The duck is served in two ways. Once as in the picture, fried/grilled with a sauce, and once as a ragout in a fried bun. We particularly liked this one because its taste is somewhat reminiscent of a Berliner filled with duck ragout. What sounds strange at first harmonizes wonderfully, and the sweetness represents an exciting contrast to the sauce. The potatoes with rosemary were also very good. The very attentive service staff rounded off the successful evening.

I was in Lugano for work and I wanted to try this restaurant inside the Lugano Dante Hotel. Since the restaurant is part of a hotel, my expectations were not very high but, in reality, I was amazed by the very high quality of this restaurant which has nothing to envy of more famous names. The quality of the raw materials is almost obsessive and their workmanship is starry. Courtesy is also truly at the highest levels. If you come to Lugano I really recommend stopping for lunch or dinner at this restaurant. I recommend booking as it is very popular. I struggle to recommend a dish but their meat is certainly fantastic. I also recommend trying an aperitif at their Mixology Bar before eating....truly incredible!!!! Well done, I will definitely be back

Everything we ve tasted was excellent!

The service to first be seated for our reservation and then order drinks started extremely slowly - I was getting worried as we were celebrating a birthday. However, from that point onward the service and food were fantastic. Davide was very polite and went out of his way to look after us. The Cuisine was very creative - all the dishes were different from what we expected (in a good way!) and it was a pleasant surprise to see vegetarian food done so well. Portion sizes are a little on the small side so don't be shy to order three courses. Very creatively presented wine list too. And despite the inventive Cuisine and fancy setting, the bill was no higher than an average Swiss meal out.

Disappointed both in food and service. Some servers are arrogant, while others are ok but overall not a pleasant atmosphere. Fish was overcooked to the degree of being uneatable. I assume the high rating is based on the poor Lugano overall offering, as always everything is relative. Focus is on locals + hotel guests, so if you come from outside be prepared to wait a long time. The only reason it makes 3 stars is because the bartender is a master. Best to stop at the bar!

This place is not a “if I have time, I’ll go” it’s a need and when I’m there! Beyond gorgeous, and delicious food and wine selection. Staff makes you feel at home and 100% worth your time when In or passing Lugano 🤌🏽🫶🏽

It's good, but not exceptional. The presentation is neat, the cuisine is creative but it is not always that in terms of the harmony of flavors. And when you receive the bill, it is still very expensive. In the end, for this price, we could expect much better.

The food was exceptional. We had a pasta each , white wine and the most exquisite framboise dessert. Surprisingly priced “reasonably” (by Swiss standards) for the quality of food. The chef is truly an artist and the flavours are unique

Really top level gastronomic dining, the use of herbs from their own garden does not get in the way of well executed cuisine. It complements excellent dishes rather than forcefully taking center stage as some restaurants' culinary specialization sometimes does. Good wine selection and excellent guidance from sommelier Riccardo, he can be blindly trusted to suggest a great pairing from the lesser-known producers he personally selected. overall 10/10

Unfortunately, I can't understand the glowing reviews. The service was nice, but rather inattentive. The ambience, well, it was very loud and the spots that are supposed to shine on your plate from above blinded me rather than illuminated me. The food was okay, but in my opinion nothing special or innovative. For me - as a guest of the hotel - it was the simple solution. Next time I think I'd rather try other restaurants.

Invited for a friend's birthday we found a place well looked after in every respect, undoubtedly of superior standing. Attentive, courteous and helpful staff. The menus also change from time to time, always very carefully crafted.

Paradoxically you pay less than in tourist places and you eat 1000 times better, there is no comparison Davide and Marco are fantastic

For the wedding anniversary I chose this place after some research. I couldn't have found anything better, from the well-kept venue to the fantastic food to say the least, as well as the impeccable service. We were guided and served by Riccardo, who explained all the dishes that arrived, suggesting excellent wine and pampering us throughout the evening. Every dish was exceptional, Compliments to the chef. “The ticket price is worth the show.” Well done!

This was like gourmet fast food. Similar to McDonald’s, the greeting was “Can I take your order?” No menu explanation, no menu. The dining room is in the hotel lobby. Service was fast and abrupt. For a place that is touted for mixology, we were not given a cocktail menu. We searched for cocktail in the menus, and there weren’t any. After flagging down a server he brought a cocktail menu finally. I believe we asked too many questions, and we were ignored for 15 minutes and another server took over. Food was wonderful.

The breakfast buffet was great for those with celiac disease: gluten-free rolls, cookies, muffins and even muesli. The staff was also super friendly.

The Luganodante hotel restaurant offers a mixology tasting experience. Won't it be a little pretentious?, I think as an Italian who is convinced that there is no other cuisine other than ours. And instead I have to think again! At the Flamel Bistrot in the heart of old Lugano I tasted extremely well-packaged dishes, from plin ravioli to Judean artichoke and scorpion fish, while sipping cocktails instead of the usual wines. Cocktails created to accompany dishes. As Mother's Aperitif, a bitter with pepper. And then Paisà, based on absinthe. And Martino's Cup... delicious, chamomile, grapefruit, calendula and lemon grass. Martino is the farmer who provides the mixologist with the lemon grass. I was pleasantly surprised by dishes that were never banal and expertly executed. Starting with the herb-salted butter mousse to spread on warm black bread. And so on in a well-balanced crescendo of tastes, flavors and alcohol. What an experience! It is not for nothing that the bistro takes its name from a famous 14th century alchemist, Nicola Flamel, who is said to have found the elixir of life and the Philosopher's Stone to transform metal into gold. Maybe it won't give you eternal youth but their gin certainly gave me a wonderful evening! It's an excellent gin (the basis of their cocktails) cold-produced on site with botanicals from the garden behind the hotel. Do the experience too if you pass through Lugano.

Food and drinks were very, very good. Service staff were polite but we had to ask repeatedly for items forgot to bring...from plates to butter to knives to menus...was a bit crazy.

Since they only spoke well to me about it, we decided to try this "experience" and as often happens when you start with high expectations, you end up a little disappointed. I didn't like anything I ate and I found the extreme kindness of the staff a bit forced. Personal opinion anyway

A surprise from my darling for my birthday 🥰 Tasty cuisine, the chef has perfect mastery of cooking techniques, I would give him a Michelin star 🔥 However, some errors in the details to be taken care of at table level... and a downside in terms of quantities, the kitchen lacked a little generosity, a little light on quantities…. We booked a nice room at the hotel for the weekend. For dinner we decided to make a reservation at the Hotel Bistro Flamel. We got a nice quiet table as requested. The service was very courteous and very professional from the waiter Davide. Everything was perfect, including the drinks and also the fine, original and perfect food. Our high expectations were even exceeded. We would be happy to come back at any time. The location is perfect for us who travel by public transport. From the train station you can take the Funicolare directly to the entrance to the hotel or the Bistro Flamel. Everything perfect.

I choose the Tuscan evening at Flamel for a romantic dinner with my partner. We already know the attention to detail in the choice of raw materials and the impeccable service of the Team. On Friday evening they reconfirmed the excellent level with clean and attentive service, a culinary experience composed of rustic yet elegant dishes, with each course followed by the presentation of the chosen wine. Hospitality with a capital A! Upon arrival they provided us with a parking service in the underground garage, from the first moment we were greeted professionally and made to sit in the elegant bar. The Wi Fi solution is immediate. I chose the grilled salmon and my wife chose the Reale roast, both delicious. Like the impeccable service. We will be back .

We had dinner at the Flamel restaurant and it was a beautiful evening. Very pleasant aperitif with mixology and homemade cocktails. Dinner is refined, with refined and surprising dishes and fresh ingredients from the garden. Try the Evergreen, the dessert made with matcha tea, mint sorbet and crunchy meringue sticks. A delight. We went to the 'mare e bollicine' evening and the culinary experience was fantastic. The evening consisted of a multi-course seafood menu, each dish was paired with glasses of the highest quality Prosecco. The most amazing dishes were: Oysters watermelon, raspberry and almond; the ombrina and mussel emulsion and the desserts, extremely tasty. The staff was extremely professional (friendly and very precise in explaining each element of the menu).

I have been to eat in this restaurant several times, both for lunch and dinner, and I highly recommend it for the quality of the raw materials (they even have an urban vegetable garden!), the tasty dishes and the environment, but above all the kindness of the staff and the owner. Yesterday I was at the Mare e Bollicine event and the dinner was an exaltation of flavors combined in a unique and tasty but not heavy way (which is not a given in local restaurants).

We tried the 4 elements surpise menu paired combined with the mixology course and it was a phenomenal experience! Both the dishes and cocktails were excellently prepared and I can genuinely say to have enjoyed every one of them (although if I had to pick a favourite, it was probably the ravioli pairing). Generally, I really enjoyed the experience and will definitely come here again should I find myself in Lugano in the future.

Spontaneous dinner for 2 people. Start with a refined aperitif with one-of-a-kind cocktails and light snacks. We had the sirloin and hamburger accompanied by potatoes as main courses. The chef delighted our palates with some of his creations during the evening, in addition to the food with attention to detail, the staff was friendly in every aspect. I will definitely be back, we had a fantastic evening.

I cannot rate the food/drink at this place since after sitting for more than 10 minutes (even having rang a bell on the table), a waiter came out, picked up what was on the next table and came back. to enter without asking what we wanted. We were alone. Shameful!

While in Lugano we stayed at the Luganodante which Flamel is located in. We went to the bar here every evening. Luca is the best! If you want great/personalized cocktails make sure to stop by. Also, the bar food was really exceptional.

Simply divine! Best risotto I've tasted so far, I'm 48 years old. The restaurant is pure charm and the service is impeccable! Highly recommended!

Lovely service with great, experimental cocktails and a real care for the food they serve.

The place looks quite good. Well-kept and apparently refined. However, the poetry disappears at the first serving. An egg basket is actually a huge fondue soup with a small egg inside. And luckily it was supposed to be a light starter! For the second course we hope for a lighter dish with octopus, which however is also submerged in another abundant cheese sauce. Staff not very friendly and prices still exorbitant. At least it was worth it! What a disappointment. We will not return and will not recommend.

Not recommended On the advice of friends I decide to go for a drink at the "flamel" in Lugano. First surprise on two requested cocktails, they didn't even have one, due to the change in menu, so I asked for an American, and I was told that they don't do it with Campari but with one of its "cousins". They bring me the drink with three olives and two pieces of cheese and a final surprise at the checkout with a 17fr bill with a Negroni. Don't worry, I won't be visiting you again. thanks for nothing 👎🏾

Very nice place. The aperitif was disappointing. Paid 42 fr for 3 proseccos and a cocacola, without the shadow of a peanut or anything else to tease.
