Very nice mountain view with friendly service!

On January 27th, 2024 my wife and I went on the guided full moon snowshoe tour on Fürenalp. From the gondola ride to the welcome mulled wine to the snowshoe tour and on to the fondue meal, simply top. The service in the restaurant is very good, the staff is friendly and courteous, you are pampered. The tour guides always had something to tell and were very helpful and competent, which made me happy in my prime. The tour was comfortable and easy to manage, and we were also lucky with the weather. The stars and the full moon shone brightly in an almost clear winter sky. Thank you Fürenalp.

Small gondola lift. Middle in the mountains. In winter, in addition to sledding and snowshoeing, only short walks are possible. There are plenty of places to sit along the way to admire the mountains. There was a restaurant with a terrace in the mountain station

Great place, especially for ski touring and hiking. The restaurant attracts a certain amount of "mass tourism", whereby some people who are not very mountain-oriented disregard nature.

Very friendly and open service. My friend and I were warmly greeted and shown to a table. Small menu with delicious regional products. The food was very good and the quantity was right. My friend would have just liked a little more mashed potatoes ;) We'll definitely be back! Best regards Larissa

Very enjoyable with good exposure.

It was a wonderful hike from the mountain station to Blackalp and back to the valley. Magnificent views of the mountain panorama whetted the appetite for new hikes. The paths are easy to walk with sturdy shoes.

One of the most beautiful hiking areas in Engelberg. Comfortable ride up with the cable car and excellent gastronomy with a panoramic terrace.

Ideal for snowshoe tours. In the beginner segment. Can also be used for winter hiking without snowshoes. Restaurant is top. Friendly staff. Fine soups of the day & platters. Train every 15 minutes. PP daily flat rate. Cross-country ski trail available. Toilet at the valley station, clean.

Great trip for a winter hike and sledding

From the Fürenalp mountain station there are many beautiful hikes, both easy and very strenuous. We wanted to do the Wallen Path via Bannalp to Niederrickenbach. Unfortunately there was still too much snow. We then did the circular hike from the mountain station to the valley station. It's currently spring in the mountains. The meadows are full of flowers, incredibly beautiful. There are many alpine inns along the way, so you don't even have to take provisions with you

Fürenalp is a very nice place that is not as busy as the other spots in Engelberg. The panoramic hike is a bit strenuous starting at the top and can also be done from the bottom up.

Great views, costs peanuts to take the cablecar up from the vallwy and lovely walk down. One of the best kept secrets in the valley imo

As a balcony over Engelberg, Fuerenalp is a perfect spot for parasailing in this part of Switzerland. Can be reached via cable-car and vistas are just excellent. In the background the Spannort mountain is reaching almost 3150m and the vertical drop for the parasailor is about 800m to the valley floor. I made the descent by a hiking trail and after 1,5hr, when I came down, he was still enjoying in the air...

Wonderful hike. Good price compared to other local mountains. Not many tourists.

For summer hikers: On foot behind the “Westerndorf” is the start of the steep but panoramic hike to Fürenalp / to the viewing point at the pond. From there it is a stone's throw to the mountain station of the cable car. The effort is definitely worth it.

Very nice viewpoint with a view of the Titlis east face and Engelberg. In winter it is usually only accessible with snowshoes.
