great service. food was okay. nice atmosphere. Interesting wine selection, including organic wines. pinot noir by the glass was really good.

Came here to try the new planted steak, which we enjoyed. When asking for a vegan dessert option, we were told that their chocolate cake, which is served with a side of ice cream, is vegan without the ice cream, so we happily ate one each. The experience was ruined for us when we paid the full price for both desserts, although we clearly were served only half of what the dessert usually consists of. The waitress confirmed that this is what they charge. Would have come back there, now I wont.

Very fine venison knuckle with even finer side dishes;) The meatloaf was also very good and the service was very friendly. The restaurant was full and there were quite a few tables, so it was a bit too loud for us. Nevertheless, I can highly recommend it.

Outstanding deer knuckle, good selection of wines. The restaurant was full to capacity, not an easy job for the service, flambéing in a small space gave a mixture of cringe and homely. I've been there sporadically in previous years: a sure value!

A very ordinary meal which was expensive. Astonishingly, tap water was charged at €3 per person!!

Price-performance has not been right when it comes to food for a long time. A pity.

Had dinner on Saturday evening and was served by a nice man who knew what he was doing. He recommended the tomahawk and we enjoyed a bottle of wine. The food was top. The garden is beautifully decorated...

Disastrous service… after 1.5 hours the first starter arrived. Proud prices, stingy portions: for 38.- there was a handful of ravioli for 36.- a starter-sized beef tartare as the main course with a few slices of bread. Plus points: the food was delicious, the service was nice and attentive (but hopelessly overwhelmed) and we liked the location.

Good place for a relaxed lunch! We had reserved via the website (everything went well) - reservation is recommended, as the tables outside are full at lunchtime and it is difficult or impossible to get a seat. The food was delicious (salad and main course). The salad and the homemade iced tea are particularly noteworthy. Service was friendly, unfortunately a bit sloppy and slow. Price-performance ratio is ok, but rather higher prices for a lunch. All in all, a great restaurant with a beautiful outdoor area (especially in summer) that is recommended!

On warm and dry summer evenings or at midday, the pergola, which is overgrown with plants, looks like an oasis in the middle of the urban environment. The range of dishes is varied and offers a suitable choice for every taste - whether vegetarian, fish or meat, there is something of everything on the menu. The wine selection is also varied with a good mix of plants of European provenance.

It is definitely a place where you can have food, but it is an environment I would define for a specific circle of people, I have not had any kind of problem since it has always been normal for me to frequent environments where people meet often and only for a question of finance. But unfortunately my friend did not like this state of the environment, but you see it is true that the various points of these can be a real true point. It's a nice place to have a bottle of wine 🍷. The prices are not very cheap, but I think they are fair for the quality of what you drink.

Well, if you are looking for a vibey place with a wonderful outdoorspace and a good crowd, you will be served! The menu looks promising, on plate didn't really convince. The staff seems a bit overwhelmed but does the job. Come with friends, drink a couple of bottles of wine, then the rest doesn't really matter :)

The restaurant looks very nice. The terrace is particularly great. The staff is nice. Unfortunately it was a little too loud for us in the restaurant. It resonated very strongly. The meal was okay. Unfortunately there was only risotto or ravioli for vegetarians - since practically every restaurant for vegetarians only serves ravioli or risotto, the selection was a bit boring in my opinion.

Very stylish neighborhood restaurant with excellent cuisine. The landlord and the service staff do an excellent job. I like to come back in summer because the terrace under the deciduous trees is unique.

Worst restaurant experience in Zurich! I've been in this restaurant with some friends and i didn't liked the food. I ordered Capocollo and they served RAW pork (risk of hepatitis e virus). Second aspect that I would like to share is the price of a glass of disaronno that they suggested to us with no information about the price 24chf of surprise. We felt a bit scammed. Third negative aspect the Negroni was really horrible! The location is very nice!

What makes this restaurant atypical? The staff is very nice and attentive, they take time for the guests and the boss is from Zurich. And yes, the food was excellent! I can only recommend.

Had dinner with hubby, our table request was acknowledged without a wink. The service was spotless and friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant welcoming. We had a very nice Heida, our starters - deer carpaccio and goats cheese were very good, however the main courses were bland. Desert ce in a chestnut shell - bevare, it's not chocolate! Overall, an OK meal. Perhaps we will be back when the garden is open again in the spring.

Nice location, great service, great food. The food was really good; probably the best pasta I had in Zurich so far. Cooked to perfection, and very tasty caponata sauce. The waitress was the right balance between « sales » and « customer service ». She convinced me to get a desert that turned out to be delicious (chocolate and almond sorbet).

Ate here a few months ago with a group of people. The garden is very cute, but unfortunately the staff was very rude to us, making comments about us being from abroad and not leaving them a tip. Where I’m from, a tip is a token of appreciation and we did absolutely not appreciate the service here. Food was mediocre, mozzarella tasted old/sour, vegetarian option for shared starters was literally the toast with sardines served without sardines. Our requests were met with rude responses, as if this restaurant was doing us a favour offering us overpriced food. Shame, the location is nice and I had heard good things, but I can’t recommend this place and will certainly not return.

The menu is only available by scanning a QR code at the table. We came with an elderly relative who does not have a smartphone, and it was tiresome going through the options on my phone with her. She also commented that the toilets were not very clean. The clientele seems to be mostly office workers in their lunchtime - we chose it for the large outdoor space, which is nice, and the food was OK.

Wow what a night. Amazing food and service.

I wanted to celebrate my cozy wedding with my husband and two witnesses. I booked a table for four people and asked for the celebration time at 8 pm. The hostess suggested me table at 7:30 pm and I agreed. On the day of the celebration, the restaurant employee called me at 6:30 pm. He asked why I did not come at the restaurant at 6 pm (booking time in his computer). He also mentioned that they actually fine people 15 or 50 (I don’t remember 100%) CHF if someone doesn't came to the restaurant. I guess that the employee who made a reservation misunderstood smth or made a mistake because of the confusion with the holidays schedule. My wedding celebration was spoiled due to someone else's mistake, I booked completely different time, threatened with a fine, and I could not celebrate my wedding. I’m disappointed ☹️ I love this place, food and atmosphere, but this case was very disappointing.

Unfortunately, one of the employees was very unfriendly. Each employee informed us differently about the daily special and at the end we no longer knew what to expect. Unfortunately there is almost no vegetarian food.

Good cuisine, including lunch menus. Portion sizes sometimes vary enormously (e.g. salad of the day huge, vegetarian lasagna tiny). Prices also very high. But a cool atmosphere and nice, fast service.

Terrible service and low quality of food. Visited with a group of 9 friends, location is nice, summer vibes... but the waiter and owner have been really rude and unfriendly. The kitchen closes at 21 already (they said) and the quality is poor. Mozzarella di bufala was old, portions really small, especially given the high prices :( too bad

Unfortunately, that wasn't a nice experience: 1- Service: pushy, rude and discriminatory. You didn't feel welcome in the restaurant. 2- Food: given the prices you expect a certain quality. The food didn't taste like anything. Very unfortunate. 3- Location: the location is good; hence 1 star. If you want to eat well, this is the wrong place for you. I would only recommend this restaurant to an enemy.

Very good experience. I went to a company dinner and I loved it. They have many wine and food options, including good vegetarian and vegan options. The prices are a little expensive, but it is definitely worth it. The space is beautiful, full of plants and the effect with the lights at dusk is very beautiful, I loved it 😍

Normal service, nothing special... Terrible food! A simple tar tar in the form of "an aperitif", no sense, trying to make you think you're in a fancy place... but it's not. 36 francs!! Plus 2 tar tar, 2dl ​​wine, 2 coffees, 3.5 dl water... chf 113.-. I'm a restaurant expert, I've eaten at Michelin star places and I found this dinner not only inedible but really a joke! Finally I paid in cash and the waitress was convinced that my 10 chf more was a "due" tip... without me offering it to her. I've expired! only nice side... the courtyard.

Spontaneously got a glass of wine and then some fries, even though the kitchen was actually closed. Boss is very flexible...great team

We had the t-bone steak with several of their side dishes (truffle fries, salad, veggies). The meat was so tender, it is served with two different sauces (herb butter and gravy). The price is justified because you get quality food and service🧡

Nice little place. Great food! A lot of it is handmade! The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. I would especially like to praise Ms. Degen, thanks to her warm manner we were able to enjoy a wonderful evening in the garden courtyard with our families. The menu changes again and again throughout the year, which makes it very varied and invites you to visit several times. Gladly again! Reservation is recommended.

What a great restaurant. If you’re fortunate, and the weather holds, you’ll be seated on the terrace. This has a really cool vibe and atmosphere. The food is all confidently prepared and plated beautifully. I had the beef tartar followed by the meatloaf, and both dishes were full of flavour. The front of house staff were super attentive and always on hand to top up glasses. The food came from the kitchen quickly, but not rushed, just at the right time. If you’re in Zurich, you can’t go wrong with a meal here.

The atmosphere and service are excellent. When it comes to eating, it probably depends on which dish you choose. I wouldn't recommend pasta and garden salad. The price-performance ratio is not right at all. I felt more like I was in a cafeteria than a restaurant. And paying such a hefty price for it doesn't seem justified to me.

Worst dinner experience to date. Rude service, who made inappropriate comments and shamed us based on her (wrong) assumption that we were eating there with a discount booklet ('Essen gehen'). I had never walked out of a restaurant until tonight. Shocking.

Food is good but price are a bit high even for Zürich. I must say it is probably the place with the best service though, the people are very friendly and this contribute to a very nice atmosphere.

Service top: very attentive and you don't have to wait long. Food is good - but the portions are quite manageable. Even a “whole” portion of ravioli (over $30!) looks more like an appetizer. If you are hungry, you have to choose the T-bone steak as the main course to fill yourself up, which is then ordered and eaten by two people and costs a whopping 62.- per person. In short: everything is actually good - if the prices weren't so high.

Food is quite good, however prices are not quite aligned with the quality of the offering. I had a pleasant experience, everyone was friendly and there was nothing wrong with the food, but I would have expected more for the price.

Fantastic, we ate really well. Great service, still in training, very friendly demeanor. Our saddle of venison, flambéed, was super delicious, plenty of side dishes and everything was TOP. The whole thing is accompanied by a fine Möstli. We will be back!!!

Absolute favorite restaurant. We recently went there for dinner for the first time and I had to go back the very next day for lunch. The food tastes first-class, the menu is seasonal. The staff is super friendly and attentive and the price-performance ratio is just right. The garden courtyard is also an eye-catcher from inside and outside! 10/10.

Upper price segment but very good and with natural products

Beautiful garden, relaxed atmosphere and people, dishes are modern but not fancy, sometimes the portions could be a little larger. Be sure to make a reservation for lunch, otherwise it's great for lunch. Praise to the staff who run the store with the right relaxedness and professionalism.
