Nice and friendly service and a talkative top manager. The game dish was excellent. The building is top. You would never expect this one. Lovely again.

We chose the Sunnebad inn to celebrate our wedding there. We were very happy with our choice and couldn't have asked for a better location. To the location Large, well-kept area with green space, outdoor pavilion and great views. Various interior spaces are also available as required. There are also plenty of tasteful, functionally furnished hotel rooms and a large, free parking lot directly in front of the country inn. On the culinary side Everything we ate there in preparation for our wedding tasted excellent. You can tell that the two chefs cook with passion, which is why the food on the wedding day was also top-notch. The hotel's breakfast buffet isn't the largest, but the items on offer (bread, yogurt, cheese, etc.) are of good quality. To the service All employees always served professionally, friendly and with a smile on their faces. To the boss Ruedi Ott was always on hand throughout the entire preparation period and was able to respond to our wishes in an uncomplicated and flexible manner. Thanks to his experience and his relaxed manner, there was never any stress and the day was a complete success. In conclusion, it can be said that the Sunnebad inn is worth at least one visit for dinner. Anyone who is able to celebrate their wedding there can count themselves even happier. I stayed here for work, you slept well, the environment was clean, fresh and spacious... too bad there were too many mosquitoes!!!!

Super nice restaurant, good food. The view is wonderful. BUT: The portions are very small and the prices are very high. That's too bad. A few more side dishes would be enough and wouldn't hurt the restaurant in terms of costs. The restaurant advertises for mountain bikers. I'll try to go there again from time to time and order something, but if there's so little again, then the order will be limited to one drink at most.

Today we discovered the Sunnebad restaurant by chance - we'll be back soon... We enjoyed a beautifully prepared Zvieriplättli with fine regional products and the service was very warm.

We waited more than 3/4 hours for the drinks to come. We had to wait even longer to eat: it took an hour until the three salad plates we ordered finally arrived. Of course, the inn can't help it if there are many guests and the staff is overworked. However, it would be nice if the waitress had informed us as soon as we arrived that there would be long waiting times. Hence one star, sorry.

Rarely have I been so excited. A restaurant in such a beautiful place. The view with the beautiful garden is really worth seeing. The serving staff was very friendly and courteous. Keep it up and see you again soon.

Curling in the sunbath! We had a lot of fun and the mulled wine and the fire warmed us up nicely.

Been there several times - beautiful idyllic place. Unfortunately, not for the first time, the catering is not too flexible. Today (it was late summer): there was only one long table set up outside (not like in the photos of the inn with the many pretty tables outside), where all the guests were supposed to be crowded together with zero privacy... On my polite feedback, That's why we wanted to leave again, the waitress just said sarcastically "Sorry I only have two legs!" - as if that was the point... What a shame - the place would be nice!

The host welcomed us by hand writing an extra 300 CHF on the bill when we arrived around 10:45 in the evening. According to him, this is the price of bed linen and towels. When I told him that there was no such thing at the time of booking, and that these were paid services, after half an hour, and after he had also looked at his OWN (!) booking page, he simply pulled out the THREE HUNDRED FRANC written afterwards in pencil (the value of our entire booking It was 990 francs). Then, when we paid for the accommodation together with the tourist tax, he agreed that we don't have a problem with that (??). He then escorted us to the accommodation, where he also made comments when I tried to be polite and noted that it was "very nice" and the answer was: "well, for that much money, it's really nice...". Why is the guest to blame for not advertising the accommodation for as much as it suits him?? The initial problem was followed by others: when I wanted to open a window in the bathroom, I saw 3 giant hornets. When we looked around, we saw that there were about 4 cm wasps swarming everywhere! So we could not open most of the windows (including the bathroom and toilet windows). It's lucky that I noticed, because one of us is also highly allergic to wasp stings. Since the host didn't say anything about it, I can't even imagine what will happen if I don't notice it in time... And one last problem: the large apartment has a door that opens from the living room, which leads to another door and an elevator. This is the elevator of the hotel, and NO KEY WAS GIVEN to this door, so anyone who went there could have easily entered! There is no TV.

Location would be nice, but terribly unfriendly staff. Once and never again.

Pretty location in wonderfully beautiful surroundings. Delicious food from the grill and we were able to have nice conversations with the owner and the very friendly service staff. A real gem!

Discovered by chance. Fantastic location in the Zurich Oberland. Very well maintained and newly renovated. Very friendly service, fine food with an open grill. The gardens are very nicely done. Fountain with animated water feature. Everything was great and highly recommended!

A cozy restaurant with a beautiful garden and friendly service. However, the prices are exorbitant and do not justify the quality. On the contrary, the espresso for CHF 4.50 and cappuccino for CHF 5.50 were just about edible. The apple strudel is presented as a mini portion at a great price of CHF 14.50!!! We paid just under CHF 40 for an iced coffee. The answer from the restaurant: excursion prices. As a comparison, you definitely get something for the money in a 5-star hotel restaurant on Lake Zurich. We join the previous recession: we will never enter the Sunnebad again! Luckily we have the choice and there are other restaurants with honest prices; also in Sternenberg.

We went last night, totally disappointed 🙄 a veal Cordon bleu a complete menu with vegetables and bonfrit chips Costs 45 Fr I only took Cordon bleu with vegetables, the Cordon bleu was miserable a small piece not even suitable for a child and not much cheese, in short they paid the same 45fr. 🤯they don't see me anymore 🙏🙄🙄🙄🙄

Absolutely fabulous experience off of the beaten path. The food was amazing, housemate demi-glace, salads and iced tea. Highly recommend.

Good food and a wonderful garden terrace with a beautiful view

Das Restaurant Sunnebad liegt an hervorragender Lage mit traumhafter Aussicht in die Berge. Die Gaststube wirkt sehr gemütlich. Wir assen das Herbstmenu passend zur Jagdsaison. Sowohl das Fleisch als auch die reichhaltigen Beilagen war herzlich zubereitet. Das war nicht die übliche Landgasthausküche sondern weit darüber.

Die Umgebung und das Ambiente ist sehr schön - vor allem wenn es draussen Schnee hat. Das Licht- und Brunnenspektakel ist ein absolutes Highlight! Unser Fondue hat sehr gut geschmeckt und ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Service top!

Wenn es einen Nullstern gäbe, würde ich das leicht geben.Dies war die schlimmste Erfahrung, die ich jemals in einem Restaurant gemacht habe. Wir haben an einem Samstagabend um 20.30 Uhr einen Tisch für einen besonderen Anlass reserviert, nachdem wir die Bewertungen gelesen hatten. Wir kamen 20 Minuten zu spät an, weil wir ein Problem mit Autoreifen hatten. Außerdem konnten wir nicht anrufen und sagen, dass wir etwas spät dran sein werden, da es in der Lage des Restaurants keine Rezeption gab. Sobald wir ankamen, wurden wir von der Kellnerin vor allen anderen Gästen beschimpft, die uns sagten, dass die Küche bereits geschlossen war und es 20: 50 Uhr war! Nachdem sie sich viel beschwert hatte, sagte sie uns, dass sie uns einen Gefallen tun und die Küche wieder öffnen würde. Während sie uns die Menüs gab, begann sie sich erneut zu beschweren, warum wir einen Tisch reservieren, wenn wir nicht pünktlich sind und dass wir es nicht noch einmal tun sollten. Wir entschieden, dass wir eine so schlechte Behandlung nicht verdient hatten und gingen. Ich würde empfehlen, dass das Personal eine Schulung zum Umgang mit Kunden erhält.Am Ende hatten wir ein sehr gutes Abendessen im Wirtschaft zum Sch ntal, Bauma mit tollem Essen und exzellenten Servicefähigkeiten, was sehr zu empfehlen ist.

If there was a zero star, I would give that easily. This was worst experience I ever had walking into a restaurant. We reserved a table on a Saturday night for a special occasion at 8:30 pm after reading the reviews. We arrived 20 minutes late because we had a problem with car tire. Additionally, we couldn’t call and say we will be a bit late because of the restaurants location there was no reception. As soon as we arrived we were verbally attacked by the waitress, in front of all the other guests, who told us that the kitchen was already closed and it was 8:50 pm! After she complaint a lot she told us that she was going to do us a favor and reopen the kitchen, While she gave us the menus she started to complain again why do we reserve a table if we're not going to be on time and that we should not do it again. We decided that we didn't deserve such bad treatment and left. I would recommend that the staff gets some training on how to treat customers. At the end we had a very good diner at the Wirtschaft zum Schöntal, Bauma with amazing food and excellent service skills which is highly recommend.

Beautifully located, meticulously maintained, the team will provide you with friendly hospitality. The view of the greenery is unique. The patron, as well as the cook, also take the time to make sure that the guests are not missing anything. Extremely likeable people. The food is light and fresh, of course. The garden is a dream, as is the fountain, which performs a water-music choreography at night. I will come back for a weekend break. Thanks.

Late and cold Sunday afternoon. A warm drink would be good now. It's a shame that I forgot to take a photo of the homemade, very delicious chestnut cake on the beautifully presented plate. Yes now; It's best to discover the sunbath yourself. It is beautifully located, warm, friendly service with a passionate kitchen crew.

Great offer in a great location with a view

Very nice atmosphere, modern and at the same time retaining the old charm. Nice staff and great cuisine. The price is justified by the size and quality of the portion. We would be happy to come back and bring our friends with us.

Actually a very nice place. We were there for the second time now. The first time the food was so-so. Today we wanted to go again. The website says Sunday open until 10:30 p.m. We were there at 8 p.m. Yawning emptiness. The serving daughter let us know that they would actually rather close the kitchen/restaurant if there were so few guests. NO trace of hospitality. Very unfortunate. We will NEVER come back and would rather enjoy the competing offerings at Sternenberg.

Spent two seminar and training days here as a team. The rooms are well furnished and modern (with a projector in the hall). There is also a great winter garden. We spent the night in nice, modern rooms with a sink in the room. There are also rooms with an integrated shower. Everything seemed well maintained and clean! We were spoiled culinary. The food was great. The service was also very friendly and accommodating, they did everything for our well-being. Spontaneous ideas were also dealt with very easily. Many thanks to the staff. I can only recommend the location.

Christmas dinner for 50 people. Pleasant atmosphere. Staff tried hard. Food was good, although not everything was hot. I really liked the appetizer.
