I discovered Schöntal by chance. We were at the nearby campsite on a Saturday and Schöntal was the first restaurant open when we were looking for an opportunity for lunch. Add to that the friendly and attentive service, we were really impressed and went to Schöntal for dinner that same evening. Since then, every now and then... less than desired due to the pandemic... and every time it was an experience and a joy! Now some people are probably thinking “yes, that costs too” and then comes the surprise: the prices are not only ok. but in my opinion cheap. In the city of Zurich the menus would certainly cost 30% to 40% more. So absolute recommendation for price/performance. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Schöntal.
