I'm a big fan of Ethiopian cuisine, and this place is my current favorite. The lentil dishes are beautifully seasoned, and the zilzil tibs is to die for. Whether you eat Ethiopian regularly or are new to the cuisine, this place is an excellent and affordable choice.

Gebeta is an incredibly authentic Ethiopian restaurant in Zurich. It feels very warm-hearted and cultural. The vegetarian platter was delicious and the bread which was served had the perfect consistency for an authentic hand-eating experience, enhancing the enjoyment of the meal. This place is a GEM, a HOMERUN! A MUST when it comes to vegetarian/vegan cuisines. 🥦🥕🍅 And the coffee ... omg the coffee. I love it!

The go to injera place for me and my friends. My friends mum and her introduced me to Gebeta since they’re Ethiopean and they’re loyal customers to this place. I’ve had injera in different places in Zurich with them, but in my opinion this place is the best one. The food is delicious and beautiful, the staff are really lovely and you can tell that everyone who visits this place is on good vibes.

Wonderful wonderful food!!! And even better service! The owners were really friendly and passionate in introducing their dishes when they realized it was our first experience with Ethiopian food. Got 2 kinds of tibs and some kitfo and all were excellent especially with the fantastic Injera. Chased it all down with the recommended Ethiopian lager. This is undoubtedly one of the BEST meals I've had in Switzerland.

The location is good, right next to the tram stop. It’s rare to have the opportunity to eat Ethiopian food, so being able to eat with your hands is a very special experience. The service is also good. There are photos on the menu for reference, but the indoor lighting is dim and you need to use a flashlight to read the menu.

We looove Ethiopian food and found Gebeta to be excellent. Not only is the food good and authentic, but the service was really 5 stars. Coming back in a few weeks time with some friends who will be trying Ethiopian food for the first time and am excited to introduce them to Gebeta!

Had an amazing, delightful evening. I tried the national, chicken dish. The meat was very tender and came right off the bones, marinated in a delicious spicy sauce. The Injera bread is soft, spongy. Feels light, but very satisfying. More than enough as a portion. Service was excellent and price is very reasonable. We'll gladly visit again.

We had such an amazing dinner at this restaurant. Such warm and friendly people running this place. They were happy to serve us even though we went quite late. The dishes itself were delicious. Loved the lentils and lamb. Definitely worth a visit.

Small restaurant with a limited selection, but here you concentrate on the essentials. Betta Comrade is a great selection to get an overview. The chicken is tender and delicately marinated in the sauce. The staff are very nice and accommodating and give you time to make a wise choice. Be sure to reserve. I'd love to come back

My first Ethiopian food. We had a nice introduction from the waitress. Food was infused with herbs and tender pieces of meat. Veggie parts were great as well.

The tasting platter was very, very fine. We had to wait quite a long time for the food (+45 minutes). We were treated to all sorts of freshly prepared Ethiopian delicacies. Original and very tasty injera (flatbread) was served, which, according to the owner's son, is flown in every week from Ethiopia. Highly recommended and gladly again!

Not great experience. I scheduled the order for Uber eats and the order got cancelled right before the scheduled time with no reason or apologies. I was just left hungry.... Hope the restaurant manages Uber account better in the future so that the customer will not order food for the time the restaurant cannot fullfil.... I still want to try the food from here though.
