Gelateria dell'Alpi in Luzern

*The 2024 season has almost started* A gelateria that is second to none. Handmade cornettos, creative and healthy ice cream varieties are freshly prepared for you and offered by a friendly team. There are also fine AlpiHotDogs for lunch. And everything right next to the Lion Monument. A MUST VISIT hot spot! Check social media from time to time, spontaneous opening times are always possible.

Very good ice cream but only for people who don't just like run-of-the-mill ice cream😁 Otherwise everything is good except the prices are a bit steep

Anyone who chooses the cup instead of the waffle is missing out on the absolute highlight - this was the best ice cream cone of my life. The flavors, a beetroot cinnamon and a chestnut ice cream, were also surprising, original and fantastic. A small disappointment is the price: 5.50 CHF per scoop in the waffle and small portions. The most expensive ice cream I've ever eaten. I would still come back!

Wow. Such original ideas of flavours, and well realised ! I tasted beetroot-cinnamon and apple-cucumber, and both were extremely good, having one taste coming after the other, combinations of which I had not thought that it would work so well. The waffle was also great, thick, tasty, crusty and in some parts still flexible, I do believe this was a homemade fresh waffle !

Your basil ice cream has catapulted itself to the top of my favorite ice cream today. Unfortunately we live over 800 km away, so from now on I can only dream about it. Compliment!! 😍

The Hot Dog here is a must. Delicious experience…. The Vivi Kola is a nice complement to the hot dog. Why not add gelato while you are at it.

When the Dying Lion Statue came out, the weather was very hot in early June and the business was very booming! If you like shortbread, you can order it. They are all made to order ~ they are fried on an iron plate and then rolled up and shaped. However, it is a bit more expensive to use biscuits - 5.9 CHF for three in paper cups - but it is not three complete balls, but a cup-sized shape. The taste is not compared in equal proportions. It depends on how the service is presented. The chocolate tastes a bit powdery and I don’t like it very much. The wild berries are sour and sweet, but the lemon flavor has too much sugar.

Really nice spot for an ice cream. The flavours are nice and original. I took a mix of strawberry and basil that was amazing. Do not hesitate if you feel like having a nice and refreshing ice cream! I did not had time to take a picture of it sorry, it was too good.

I have never had better gelato in my life! It's definitely a must try! They had so many different and peculiar yet delicious flavors that were all perfectly potent, like elderflower, black sesame, earl Grey, and the ginger, which was especially sharp in flavor. We learned that it had been made using freshly juiced ginger. Regardless, it is truly a must, for any ice cream or gelato lovers.

Tasty hot dogs, with sauerkraut, pickles, dry onions, sauce (also vegi option) - 10chf.

Unfortunately it was cash free, so you couldn't eat ice cream there.

Great gelato. Very creamy. They make their own yummy cones. I highly recommend it if you're in the area.

I love ice cream and this gelateria is one of the best in Switzerland! Very special varieties such as black sesame, basil or ginger (Insider tip: basil!)

Quite ok, unfortunately not quite to my taste. Personally, I don't think it's a good thing that little cream is used because the creaminess suffers as a result. Otherwise, since everything was homemade, it was really good :)

The staff are very friendly & kind. They seem to do a great business & sometimes the queue is quite long. From what I've seen, it's all home made ice cream with various different flavours.

Large selection of fine and sometimes very special types of ice cream (basil, Farina Bona, ginger, black sesame, etc.). The dark chocolate (vegan!) tastes excellent!

Takes Chf only, and if you only have euros they don't take euro coins, and they only accept euro cash 1 to 1. Doesn't tell you that until serves you everything. Server extremely rude when explaining this. Also doesn't take credit card.
