Luz Seebistro in Luzern

Nice little spot with great views at all tables. This was our first stop upon arriving to Switzerland & had two little children with us. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Menu was great with a variety of options. We enjoyed our lunch here and look forward to visiting again.

An original bar on the Schifflänte in Lucerne. Very friendly and pleasant service. I drank a coffee. Otherwise it has an extensive menu for snacks.

I didn't go there to eat, but it looks delicious. I had James, my Germanic bear dog, with me and we received a very friendly welcome and neither of us wanted for anything. Very nice service. I highly recommend it. And would love to go there again.

Had nice breakfast with a view. Limitation of space since its small bistro and since lot of people want to have breakfast with a view its a bit overcrowded. Its the only one in the area. Hopefully they expand in the future a bit more :)

Nice bistro near Lucerne station

If you visit the LUZ, we recommend wearing a warm coat, gloves and a cap. At this time, the employees are busy cleaning up. The guests are only noticed in passing. If you want to order something, you have to make a special effort. The Luz was once an institution, currently an imposition.

View good, otherwise not recommended. Very expensive, narrow tables, not really friendly. You get a lot more for your money in a different restaurant

With a wonderful view of the lake, you can enjoy delicious cakes and tea here. Always a good place for a coffee or tea chat.

Nice little bar the locals use as well as tourists. Nice view of the river and close to the train station.

Nice restaurant with a view of the lake. Sometimes the waiting times for the order are a bit long. It's especially worth it in summer when the terrace is open. However, you have to be a little lucky if you want a place there.

I had breakfast on their terrace before getting on the ferry. Very relaxing, beautiful views and friendly staff, although I almost paid 15 euros for breakfast.

Food was great, I suggest the Pita Burger with meat and the cheese quiche. Air conditioning was ok and the food took longer than expected, but ok for it being in a central location. Would come again for a snack or quick lunch.

Everything was perfect. Such nice servers! Ambiance was beautiful!!!!! Expect this undercooked burger. My son bit into it and gagged. We had to leave so didn’t get to tell the manager. I hate to leave this but don’t know how to contact you.

It's a nice place to sit directly on the lake, and the coffee and sweets are delicious

The service, not really good. There are the workers and service specialists who like to stand around and don't see or want to see the guest... they let them work and instead sit at the counter. A pity. And lady gets cheeky when you have to order the coffee after waiting at the counter. Damages the place.

For people who like bistros. Too small a terrace, unfortunately too often well occupied. Drinks offer OK.

This is a unique but less than satisfying experience. With only one menu per table it takes quite a while to figure out what you want. Then there is the inconvenience of a good bit of the menu not being available until 11am but with no indication of this fact.

The sausages are delicious, the prices are very good for the area and it is fast but delicious food. It took a little while, but nothing serious. Good prices!

Unfortunately, in order to order something, you have to look for or speak to the staff (despite several employees present). The service was being served behind us and the service person would have walked past us for the second time if we hadn't spoken to her - because after waiting 15 minutes we wanted to order :( Radler served without a glass (no question about a glass, bottle put down and taken away again), table unclean (still with breakfast stains in the afternoon). Cashing in was also bumpy, unfortunately that was nothing..

Friendly, helpful staff and good food. Perfect view of Lucern. If you can sit outside to get the full experience. Their prices are also very reasonable.

Cafe and summit was very good. Service friendly and a laugh would be perfect. It's a shame that there is a construction site in front of the entrance.

We were there very bad service, the food was just left out then there wasn't enough Beateck Glass and we had to get it ourselves and we were very disappointed

Despite having enough staff, you always have to wait a long time for service.

Food was OK. The burger was not a traditional “burger”, and the quiche was like a soggy cheese pie. Expensive considering mains don’t come with any side. Good views, though (although that’s where all the smokers go)! Definitely not 4.3 stars as Google indicates.

Nice building and pretty views, but unfortunately today let down badly by service. We were sat waiting to be served for a very long time and when we tried to say hello to ask for a drink the waitress glared at us and walked away. We ended up having to leave.

A place to linger and enjoy an aperitif

Staff seemed overworked, ambience could be improved, doesn't seem inviting. Terrace is a disaster, so narrow, guests get annoyed when they sit down, much too narrow...

The coffee schnapps at Cacelon is highly recommended.

Very friendly service, great view of Lake Lucerne and dogs are welcome. We were very satisfied and felt comfortable.

Location was great and we were lucky that weather was beautiful yesterday so we could sit outdoors. We had the vegetable quiche and side salad, and vegan curry bratwurst which was quite ok! Portion is good enough for us too. After our meal we also had the soft serve ice cream which was really good and creamy!

Unfortunately a negative experience. Staff is present, but totally inattentive and inefficient. Needs to be made aware of new visitors. Unfortunately a place we no longer visit.

LUZ is LOZÄRN. Chilled staff, light and, above all, local dishes, great views and the lake as far as the eye can see. If you don't try it, it's your own fault...

Too little selection on the menu

At any time, it's worth staying here for a while, top location on Lake Lucerne.

Mostly only there for an aperitif and so far without food. The atmosphere is such that people can speak to each other well and understandably. Delicious Ur-Bräu beer.

Great view, great service, very friendly and nice waitress. We had the curry brat and brat with bread - very tasty, juicy and delicious, the hot chocolate was very good - not too sweet, just perfect. It was a wonderful experience, and a nice laid back lunch. Definitely worth it, bread was delicious.

Bistro right on the water with a great view. On the terrace in summer - otherwise inside with a panorama of the city of Lucerne.

The restaurant is located in close proximity to the train station. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the lake basin.
