Gelati TELLHOF in Zürich

Gelati is my favorite ice cream place in Zurich! No matter whether at the lake, Platzspitz or Tellhof, the ice cream always tastes great. There are normal varieties, but also more unusual ones. And you can always try something. The employees are also mostly very nice. The only thing that could be improved is the seating, which unfortunately there isn't much of in the café.

We’re visiting from the US and had no issues ordering in English. Had the blood orange, lemon and mint, and sampler coffee. Delicious!!

Great gelateria. Super fine ice cream and everything homemade! There are also takeaway ice cream boxes up to 6 scoops. This means you can transport the ice cream treat home and enjoy it. Another great thing is that there is always a sample scoop for every ice cream. So you can be brave and try a variety that you want.

Great ice cream, a lot of hip young families, as is often the case, normal people are the ones who reject it. I don't think the ice cream is mega, the service is OK, the ambience is awesome

Gelati, Gelati, Gelati... there were times when I traveled all the way to Konstanz to get SPAGHETTI ICE CREAM and what do I see now? You're having a fantastic job right there in Zurich. Strawberry sauce could be a little more strawberry puree according to the original. But that's it Mimimi at a high level. The cream core as well as the vanilla ice cream and not forgetting the chocolate flakes aka Parmesan on top scream for enjoyment. The remaining types of ice cream were already consumed on a continuous loop at the lake by fans. But Tellhof 🫶🏼 I'll be back. Ps: really great, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Thank you.

The best ice cream in Zurich. 3.50 per ball is a fair price. The waffle also tastes good, which is rarely the case otherwise. The staff is very friendly

I've probably been there 10 times. Staff is ok, ice cream is great! Price performance is great! Pistachio ice cream is so delicious, I've never had better ice cream. Tastes very fresh and freshly roasted pistachios.

Very large selection of ice cream flavors, although there are also many unusual flavors that you can't find everywhere. My favorite was the basil variety. Very cool concept that you get a small 'sample ball' with your order. The ice cream tastes very tasty and a clear recommendation if you are in Zurich!

The staff very kindly offered to do a half and half scoop for my son who couldn't decide. Plus they had some delicious and interesting flavours. Easy five stars.

Fabulous gelato my son is still raving about (he has the classic mango and raspberry which they lovingly have him half and half as they noticed he couldn't choose). I had the lemon and ginger, with a sample of the blood orange. There was no queue when we arrived so we weren't prepared to choose our little mini scoop and had to make a quick decision (not too much of an issue as everything we had in the family was delicious)!

A small place with delicious gelatis. Nice staff and you have space outside and inside to sit down and unwind. I love the natural yogurt - ice cream! The cornet is super fresh and delicious. It is definitely worth it. Thanks see you next time :)

📝 Excellent ice cream in Zurich even if you might have to wait in a long queue (especially on weekends). 🍦 I tried the blackberry and white chocolate yogurt flavours. The ice cream was perfectly creamy and balanced, with a very good flavor. There were about twenty different flavors on the menu. 📍 The ice cream shop is a few minutes walk from Europaallee. There is seating inside but also outside.

Gelati Tellhof is one of the best gelaterias in Zurich. Great varieties and the little sampler is simply a brilliant idea 🤌🏼🍦

Large selection of well-known and original gelati varieties. Popcorn and black sesame, as well as Ovaltine were 1a. The only disadvantage: as with so many things that have a good reputation in Zurich, you may have to wait in line for a long time.

This is my go-to ice cream place in summer on my way home. I usually get a cornet for myself and a pack to go for the week. They have an exciting range of flavors that differ from time to time, including the classics. Definitely one of the best ice cream shops in Zurich. I wish they stayed open all-year :(

Super tasty, great idea with the tasting ball, service not always friendly

One of the best ice cream bars in Zurich. An alternative, creative and delicious variety on offer (Yoghurt Mora is my recommendation) and the staff is very friendly. On weekends or after work, the queues tend to be longer, but the wait is definitely worth it.

Great interior design, professional and friendly personnel and delicious ice cream. It was very nice that it was possible to try a teeny tiny scoop of ice cream of choice just on top of the ordered one as well as free water to help oneself, which came in handy. There is a stylish and chill backyard I had no idea about that is very fine and kinda hidden from the street.

It’s a cute place nice to hangout on the terrace but having tried almost all ice cream shops in zurich this is nice but #1 is still Vanini and Oro. I took pistachio and hazelnut. It’s nice but felt it lacked flavor and was a bit « icy » not so creamy. But nice spot really and if you’re into alternative flavors then this is perfect :)

Absolutely and totally fantastic. Does not disappoint. Please give it a go if you haven't. There are plenty of flavours to choose from, and also about half of them are vegan. Flavours are complex and classy, and you can have some Stoll coffee while at it. Prices are about right and kids get a small figurine.

I visited this shop later in the evening and it looked nice and I love ice cream so I went in and got hazelnut, amarena and coffee and they were sooo good, especially the coffee! The server also gave me a free sample scoop which I could choose for my own but a customer behind me suggested some flavor and I can’t remember the taste but I think I liked it as well! Friendly staff and very good service :)

By far the best ice cream in Zurich!

The gelato from this tiny gem of a shop of delicious. The flavours change on a regular basis, so if there's something you are specifically after, it might be best to call ahead. They have tables inside and a put the back in a lovely patio area. There are some benches along the front of the building which are great for people watching.

Pretty great little ice cream shop. Lots of delicious flavors to choose from and you get a bonus tiny scoop of a different flavor of your choosing to top it off. Loved the ovomaltine which was quintessential Switzerland. Limited seating but if the weather is good just head towards the Europallee area which has ample outdoor seating.

Was in Zurich for 2nights and I came on both nights. Nice little icecream joint with great ambience and great service! I loved that they added a little sample scoop on top of your original order.

The line at any day speaks for itself. Besides the common suspects you find things like melon or black sesame. I love that you can get a little trial scoop for a bit more daring flavors.

Really super fine. I had the Coupe Tellhof which is basically a Coupe Denmark. The chocolate is a real, very fine chocolate, nothing out of a tube! Friendly staff and you can also try. Highly recommended and I will come again.

Of course, ice cream is always delicious and you can eat it. Unfortunately, this ice cream disappointed me a bit. I've definitely had better ice creams, especially the taste was less intense here. Positive: There is a large selection and the staff was really friendly both times. In general I think the prices are a bit too high, I think that's because of the system, so if you want several varieties it quickly becomes expensive, with just one variety it's fine.

I love it! For me, the best ice cream parlour in Zurich. Lots of different and creative flavours, not too much sugar in contrast to so many other ice creams, and you even get a little taster scoop complimentary. And kids can choose a small toy animal in addition. Perfect 💛

Unfortunately, they didn't quite convince us in terms of taste; some of the taste wasn't very intense/relatable to the variety. hence a star deduction.
