We celebrated our wedding in Giesenpark on October 7th, 2023. It was simply sensational from the ambience to the service, very attentive, friendly and accommodating!! Would recommend it to anyone. The boss personally came to us several times and always asked if anything was missing and if everything was OK. We really appreciated that. Food was very tasty 10/10!! Keep it up !!!

Unfriendly service from an older lady. Seemed very stressed. Tarte flambée was good.

Be careful at the restaurant. They charged me over 10 USD for tap water and the meals may use sugar or sweetener as a flavor enhancer. Very expensive even for Switzerland. Over 30 USD for a warm chicken salad. In sure there are safer choices in town.

Very nice park to take a stroll. You can walk there, see a pond, there are benches. It is near the river which you can walk along if you leave the park.

Giessenpark is always beautiful. Dozens of water lilies are currently blooming in the natural pond. I was also able to observe ducks and a family of swans. Various trees and bushes grow around the pond. If you want to walk or hike a little further, you can walk along the Rhine nearby.

Admission 7 francs per adult per day. Liked very much. The pools are gorgeous. One pool with toamplines is deep - 3.85 meters. One for swimmers. Another one for teenagers. And for the smallest children there is a very shallow pool. Snack 15 - 17 francs, beer 4.5 francs.

We were there today and asked for a place, the service staff just shrugged their shoulders and ran away. Totally unfriendly staff not recommended if companies offer such a service!!!! Afterwards we went straight to another restaurant. You shouldn't support something like that!!!

Beautiful little park with a lake. There are many walking paths along the lake and through the forest, most of which are also suitable for strollers. With a bit of luck you can spot squirrels while strolling through the forest. There are paid parking spaces directly at the park entrance and there is also a public toilet.

We had booked Villa Quöllfrisch at the Giessenpark campsite. The prices are high, but so is the performance. With a whirlpool on the terrace and a bungalow that offers everything you could want from A to Z, you can spend a carefree and relaxing day here. We ordered a vegan/vegetarian breakfast in advance, which was very lovingly implemented by the staff. The only thing that could be criticized are the duvets and pillows. The blankets are very thin and light for winter and the pillows are of poor quality. The campsite's restaurant offers a good mix of Indian (with delicious naan bread) and European dishes and - which is not yet a given for this region - there are some menus without animal products. All in all highly recommended!

Whether local traditional or traditional Indian, you're sure to find something here! The staff is very friendly and patiently explains Indian food and its level of spiciness (including tolerances or allergies) 😄 no long waiting times and if you like wine you should definitely try the local offering 😊

Local recreation area of ​​Bad Ragaz. Is actively used by guests of the surrounding hotels and the surrounding area. Too few parking spaces when the weather is nice! The park is located on Lake Giessen. This was originally part of the Rhine, which was later straightened. The resulting nature reserve is home to many water birds as well as fish and amphibians. Squirrels also roam around in certain places. They know that they are being fed and are no longer as shy as usual.

Food was ok. Not the best Indian I've ever been to.

Very bad rip-off for a concert ticket! Ask CHF 49.00 for a concert by Floyd Division (Pink Floyd cover band from AT). Current ticket prices for this band in AT and DE are between 22 - 30 EUR. So about twice the ticket price for the same band in Giessenpark than in DE or AT. Unfortunately, we do not support such exorbitant ticket prices (exclusive) for Swiss concertgoers.

As always on Wednesday there is an Indian buffet here. Incomparably good!! Greatly run by an Indian and his CH wife, you can't get enough of the food, it's so tempting and super good. Staff nice, attentive, not intrusive, but helpful. I recommend this restaurant - also on other days.

Prices probably have an inflation rate of 30%. The burger, which consisted of 1 black piece of meat, 1 slice of tomato and 1 slice of cucumber, also had no sauce. The chaos when serving food underlines the quality of the kitchen. If you're still hungry at 16 and have a baguette from the baguette machine opposite, you have to ask yourself whether you want to go there again.

We booked the Aredesia Villa for one night and were thrilled. Villas are very well equipped with everything you could need! We felt very comfortable. Staff very helpful. Good price, performance ratio! Great breakfast with fresh bread, cheese, meat, eggs, juice, good coffee, etc. that you can eat in your villa or at a table outside. Grilling options available. Unfortunately, the private whirlpool on the terrace took a long time to heat up because the water was changed in the morning, so we were a little disappointed at first. But we were then allowed to use the one in the villa next door and were given a second bottle of wine, so it was a good solution and we were satisfied again. Free entry and e-bikes, can even be used after check-out. We would love to come again. :)

Fabulous place !!👌 Love the pool area, restaurant and especially the food 😍. We have been here a lot of times and the experience has always been awesome. Looking forward to re-visit Giessenpark soon.

We actually wanted to have a drink on the terrace. We hadn't sat down yet when we asked what kind of drink we wanted. Since there was no menu on the table, we asked for one. This request didn't go down well with the waitress, as was easy to see from her facial expression. When she brought the drinks she immediately asked what food she wanted. We said we were served for the moment - her face spoke volumes. She walked away curtly. A little later we wanted to order you something to eat, which went quite smoothly. Paying was then more difficult again, she didn't have the card machine with her and my objection that my bill was far too high was initially ignored. I impatiently checked and then disgruntledly realized that the deducted prices that my colleague had paid were wrong. I was then asked in a relatively unfriendly manner what I had consumed. She calculated and calculated, 3 figures of goods - I had added up the amount for a long time. Paying with Twint didn't work after x attempts either. So I picked up my card and was finally able to pay the bill - after we had to wait almost 10 minutes because the card machine had to be released first. I hadn't yet taken care of my wallet when the waitress had already disappeared. No thanks, no goodbye. Not a word. We didn't order the main menu, alcohol or dessert - but we could still have been served in a friendly manner. In contrast to tourists, we would also have a greater chance of coming back. But probably not with this experience.

Very nice park to enjoy some nature and, depending on the time, some peace and quiet. The “art” pieces on display are sometimes more interesting, sometimes less so. But that is mainly in the eye of the beholder. For us as a family with children it was a very nice day trip. Especially since there is a good restaurant nearby with a larger playground. I can only recommend this place. But be careful, there can be a shortage of parking spaces nearby. Especially since bathers have priority over park visitors at the parking lot.

We ate and drank good Indian food. Unfortunately, the food was overshadowed by poor service and disturbing live music. Even escaping from the music into the small interior area of ​​the bar couldn't save the experience as the musicians and their 15-strong entourage followed us. After another half hour of poorly performed pop songs, with no chance of conversation at the table, we left the restaurant distraught, just like most of the other guests. In the end we had to write our bill ourselves because none of the wildly rotating waiters could book the right table. Unfortunately, we apparently visited a probably good restaurant on the wrong day.

I spent my birthday here with my boyfriend. We had booked the Ardesia Villa for 1 night. The jacuzzi is great, it was wonderful!!! Really nice and warm and just great with the play of colors!! The whole villa is beautiful. The location of the Giessenpark is absolutely a highlight in winter with the Giessensee! We really liked it. We enjoyed it very much. Everything was super well organized and friendly staff. We'll definitely come back again!! Probably on a motorbike in the summer.

Despite having a reservation it was difficult to order something, the staff seem to be paid based on distance and not on efficiency. VIP guests arrived 30 minutes after us and had to drink and eat before we could order, there seems to be at least 2 classes of people here. Unfortunately, after 45 minutes, the food only came for 3 people instead of 4! The fries we ordered only arrived after the dishes had already been cleared away. Ordering the dessert menu took another 20 minutes, the service employee from whom we asked for the menu walked past us at least 15 times, mostly empty, and when we asked again what was with the menu, she reacted a bit angrily and passed the card order on to another employee. ...the food was correct but nothing special, I would describe the service as absent. We have to plan the next meal for 2 days so that it doesn't get stressful if you don't get served... there were probably a lot of guests but an organized kitchen and service would handle that better with half the staff. It's a shame that it became so clear that a nobody was treated as such compared to celebrities. Anyone who hasn't been on the cover of the Schweizerillustrated magazine twice has to spend a lot of time if they want to be noticed... it's a real shame!

The Giessensee is a dead arm of the Rhine. Nice park in the middle of a golf course. But the real attraction is the lovely town of Bad Ragaz, where there are regular art exhibitions (Bad RagARTz) and a visit to the thermal caves in the Tamina Gorge is also worthwhile. Parking is fairly well organized in the city. There is a relaxed, almost Mediterranean atmosphere. The only downside is the casino, which is oozing with ugliness and you want to avoid it.

Dinner in a restaurant that belongs to a swimming pool and a campsite? What a punishing task! Not here. Fantastic Indian cuisine! Two tips: a) Visit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the tandoori dishes. b) Be sure to reserve. It's no longer an insider tip!

Great stay at the THERME OASE. Price-performance very fair, service and breakfast top! The Indian dinner in the Giessenpark restaurant is highly recommended and authentic. However, be sure to reserve! It offers a very good starting point for the current Ragartz art exhibition, e-bike wine tour, visit to the thermal baths and much more!
