Super good restaurant and great cuisine.

We have been guests of the foundry for a very long time. We were never disappointed, on the contrary, we were thrilled every time! Everything is just right here! Please continue:)

Cool location, great ambience. Enjoyed mini cordon bleu at your discretion, good idea! Everyone was happy and more than full ;-) Service was very friendly and attentive. Always happy to go to an “event” like this!

We had high expectations and we were not disappointed. The food is simply excellent, from the starters to the desserts, yet reasonable prices for a high quality meal in Zurich. We went for non-vegi, but they had as well quite a few vegetarian options. The service was also remarkable. The atmosphere is really relaxed and somewhat romantic, with tons of candlelight. They have done a great job with the decoration. We will surely be back!

The main food and the dessert were very good. The restaurant is also very spacious. In addition to the food and dessert, they also a very nice bar with available space for chatting. I definitely recommend the place for company events.

Beef is not from Switzerland. It bothers me when Swiss restaurants offer products from abroad that are at least of the same quality available in Switzerland.

I was there for an event. There was an aperitif in the evening for the occasion, but unfortunately the price was not appropriate. The ambience of the rooms was also not appropriate for the occasion. It seemed rather unprofessional, as did the service, which was largely listless and unmotivated and rounded off the experience negatively. Too bad about the money.

I gave them 5 because the experience and the food are quite exceptional. However, I do think the restaurant can improve the quality of its dessert menu.

Had Züri Gnätzlets today. It really wasn't good. Not 100g of meat was very bland. The hash browns weren't cooked through. And celery has no place on the Züri Gnätzlets! The sauce as well as the salad dressing is a finished product! And this for a whopping 46.-! NEVER AGAIN!

Yesterday was my second time in Giesserei with a group, and the second time that the team there surpassed all my expectations. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food is simply incredible. I really love the industrial-chic ambiance and decor. It feels comfortable and relaxed but still elegant with just a bit of luxury. I certainly hope to be returning many times!

I've visited here a few times in the past and again last week for a birthday party. The service and food were great, but unfortunately the rooms are very high and echoey, so you can't hear yourself and everyone starts screaming. Nevertheless, we had a nice evening. :) Thank you!

We used this restaurant for a corporate dinner session. The atmosphere is very good and the food were all great!

Very good service with very good food.

The beginning of our visit was very disappointing - we were asked by three service staff whether we had reserved, to which we replied in the affirmative. We still weren't shown to a table - only after what felt like an eternity. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes and ask several times to get a card. After a young man took over the service from the lady, things got significantly better. The evening was ok, as was the food - but our expectations were higher. Maybe we'll have better luck next time

In the summer I sat outside, where the ambience of the foundry differs little from other garden restaurants. But I was there in winter - and the location is something special. The smoke-blackened walls and the overall industrial atmosphere are an experience. Kitchen and staff top in summer and winter. (Some employees only understand English)

We had a company outing to Friday Taschen and then we went to the Gießerei restaurant. It was super delicious from the aperitif to the dessert.

Service was top, very friendly staff, although there weren't too many people we had to wait a bit long a few times, but it wasn't a problem. Now for the criticism: The food was mediocre compared to restaurants at home and abroad. Why? If the price had been half as high and the portions had been a little larger I would have given more stars. But with starter, main course and 1 glass of wine 125.- (it was actually 100.- I made a mistake) per person I think it's cheeky. That's why unfortunately only three stars and no recommendation unless you don't care about the price then I think you can afford it..

When we arrived, after waiting for a while, we were not shown to the table. Instead, we were told where the table was and we had to go there ourselves. A bit confusing as the service person also had to go in the same direction. If you remove the historical ambience, the food remains mediocrity at high prices. In our opinion, a completely overrated restaurant.

Special location, accessible on foot from Zurich Oerlikon train station or by tram. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are cozy. The food is presented to a high standard and was outstanding. (Eaten here several times). The service was very friendly and attentive. This restaurant is without a doubt one of the best addresses in Zurich Oerlikon.

Very good food, beautifully presented, professional and friendly service. The ambience can be debated: you either find such old industrial buildings casual or not (we were in the Hofkunstloft). But it didn't detract from a lovely evening in good company.

The location doesn't look like much at first impression, but when you get involved with it, it's amazing. The service was incredibly good and very accommodating. All in all very cool.

We went to the Giesserei for the crime dinner. The food was extremely bad for the very high price. The meat is edible. There were no snacks at the aperitif. The proseco and white wine were also of poor quality. In addition, the crime thriller was extremely embarrassing. Every children's theater is better.

The ambience is beautiful, elegant and cozy. The rooms are a perfect mix of old and modern elements that exude a unique atmosphere. Excellent service friendly and professional. The dishes are not only a visual delight, but also a culinary experience. Perfect for a romantic evening for two. Overall, the Giesserei restaurant is an absolute highlight in Zurich and highly recommended!

A very interesting location in an urban style. There are some great decorative items to see when you look around. The salad was fresh, crunchy and delicious. The burger including homemade fries was also great. The dessert selection could be better, but what was there was good. The staff was very friendly.

The ambience and furnishings invite you to spend a wonderful evening here. However, the price/performance ratio is not right at all. I think 32 Fr. for a small burger is very expensive, even by Zurich standards (without a side dish). The vegetarian menu was well thought out, but here too the price was way too exorbitant. The staff (service) was confused and seemed stressed in a larger group of 10 people. We had to order the food (starter and main course) in advance because we were a larger group, which didn't bother me. When we arrived we were rudely asked again who was eating what so that the staff could come up with a plan. The plan that was drawn up then turned out to be unnecessary, as an enormous number of side dishes were mixed up or asked for again when the food was distributed. You either create a plan that works or leave it alone. In short, expectations simply weren't right for these premium prices.

Great location for romantic dinners or company events in the industrial chic in Oerlikon. The cuisine is varied for non-vegetarians, but also offers some delicacies for vegetarians. I was here with my family (toddler and wife). We didn't make a reservation and were lucky. The staff took great care of us. The food was very tasty.

We went to a company dinner at the foundry. The food was cooked quite okay. Unfortunately there is far too little sauce for the braise. The starter salad was pretty much the most bland salad I have ever come across. Just lettuce and sauce. A little herbs certainly wouldn't have hurt the whole thing. Service was quite okay. The saddest part of the evening was that we were basically kicked out at 11:10 p.m. It's a shame, much more could be done with this great location.

Conclusion: Absolutely overrated. Ambiance: The atmosphere was really good and we felt very comfortable. Hence the additional, second star. Service: After the first drinks we had to make ourselves known several times to be able to order something else. Even during the meal, no one actively asked for additional drinks, not even water. In general, all eight people at the table found the service to be barely friendly and very inattentive. Eat: The food was maximally enough. All the patties on the burger were burnt and tasted just like that. The burger in general was nothing special. Neither the bun nor the other ingredients were convincing. The fries were good, but at most a sample portion. The price-performance ratio is definitely not right for 32 francs for the burger and 6 francs for the side dish. We wouldn't eat here again.

We always enjoy visiting the foundry. The factory-style ambience suits both casual and very sophisticated. The service is sensational and the kitchen prepares delicious food. We held our free wedding ceremony with dinner and party in the foundry in September 2022. From preparation to implementation, we were always looked after in a friendly and professional manner. We would be happy to pass on our guests’ compliments to Anthony and his team.

Very nice, quiet and spacious location. Very good food. It would be good on the wine list if the vintage of each wine was listed.

The food was very good, the only criticism: minimal but essential difference between the menu and the dishes. Keyword: fruits on the menu, berries on the plate or vegetables on the menu, beans on the plate. One waitress was very friendly, while the older waiter, more experienced and experienced perhaps, but definitely unfriendly! However, what made us stop visiting this restaurant despite the fantastic food was the behavior of the chef de service! We had to wait 30 minutes until we could order the dessert and the waiter didn't thank us for the generous tip. Probably not necessary given our high bill. 2 people, 350CHF, just for context.
