Good, affordable food in a great location! When the weather is nice, if you can sit outside, it's one of the best places in the city.

We were here for lunch and the food and atmosphere were outstanding. When paying, my husband wanted to pay with a credit card. Unfortunately, without asking my husband, the waiter pressed the payment on the device in dollars instead of euros! Very disgraceful!! My husband was a bit surprised and didn't say anything about it, but we don't think it's good that they deliberately wanted the more expensive conversion!!!

It's impressive how the social mission is lived out.

Simple but great food We had a great evening at Schipfe16. The ravioli for the starter and the nut salad for the main course were delicious. It's definitely worth a visit... And the location right on the river is great... If you had served a foam (parsley foam) or chive oil with the ravioli or salmon and grated parmesan flakes over it instead of grated Parmesan... icing on the cake🤗💪 different textures on the plate are usually more fun in the mouth💪 The only point of criticism is the bread... maybe baking something yourself or a little better quality from a smaller size or something like that would be great. Keep it up👏👏👏

A nice restaurant, right on the Limmat - with an excellent concept for integrating different people into working life. The cuisine is fresh, if possible with organic products and regional sources. Be sure to reserve.

Restaurant was easy to find, vegan options available. Limited seating, but we (7pax) were lucky to get in without a reservation at 7pm on Thurs night. Menu is limited but food was good!

We did not have a reservation but we got there around 11:30 and good thing we did! Because the restaurant quickly filled up! There was a prefix menu in German. The waitress was kind enough to help translate it for us and assist us with ordering. The meal was delicious!! The location is great too! Right on the water.

It was a really great summer evening, thank you very much. During the thunderstorm we were able to move under a parasol. Two of us really enjoyed the curry. We had it tightened.....mmmmhhh Really great price/service/ambience ;ö)

Bad service . We ordered some draft beers and were told they only had bottles. After five minutes we saw them getting pints... anyway...

The atmosphere is modern and everything is very clean and new. From the window you have a great view of the other bank. The service was quick and very friendly. Price/performance was top. Keep it up. Definitely a recommendation.

We were only in Zurich for one day and there is no shortage of dining options. We stumbled upon Schipfe 16 and it was a lovely experience. We arrived just in time before they closed for lunch and were treated to a lovely meal. Situated right on the water, the ambiance was great. Stop in and enjoy delicious food and views.

Very unfriendly, unhelpful and self-absorbed front-of-house staff. She was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Much friendlier and welcoming restaurants nearby. We didn’t get to sample the menu, so am unable to comment on the quality of food and waiter service.

There seemed to be a lot of Swiss grandparents coming... The atmosphere and food visuals weren't bad, but basically Swiss food doesn't seem to suit me. The lunch specials were beef/vegetarian/mullet, so beef and mullet? I ordered mullet...mullet...it was very fishy....

We were in the area and came upon this restaurant. It is located along the Limmat river and has lovely views. We had the Korma and Ravioli. Both were delicious! We were delighted to learn about the restaurant's mission which is to offer jobs for unemployed people on social security, unemployed young people and people with disabilities. In this way, Schipfe 16 supports people reintegrating into working life. Very cool!

Although the food was very good and at a reasonable price, we felt like the service could have been friendlier. We discovered later the background of the restaurant : Schipfe 16 is a job integration offer from the city of Zurich, which is a wonderful thing, but keep this in mind when reserving, and don't expect an impeccable, smiley service.

Great restaurant with delicious food and selection! A great view, especially in summer. Unfortunately we didn't have a reservation but the friendly service still organized a table for us on site. Definitely an insider tip in Zurich!

This restaurant is just next to the river, a few steps away to the water and to swans... yes, we had the chance to see swans and take pictures. There is a beautiful view to the river and old city. The most important thing in this restaurant was service, staff is always smiling and it is remarkable they are always giving their best.

A nice place to have a cozy and relaxed lunch. Thanks to the friendly service, we ate more than we wanted ;-) And there is a shop opposite with lots of delicacies. You shouldn't just walk past it.

Delicious meal right by the river in a quiet corner of a bustling city. We came across this gem by chance while touring Zurich, and we highly recommend it! The food is creative, super fresh, and seasonal. Service was friendly and prompt. The concept of this restaurant (founded by Swiss social services to help individuals get back to work) is just a bonus. A must stop in the city!

Addendum and 5 stars: 1. Great response to my 2 star review 2. We went to the restaurant again on Saturday, July 30, 2022 Conclusion - one-time slip! Super friendly service and great ambience. Price-performance ratio is right and we felt very comfortable. THANK YOU Living from the good location? Today we wanted to have a beer at the end of the day. A polite question was only answered as we are fully booked. I couldn't even say the sentence and was dismissed. It's a shame - that's not how you treat guests. I will definitely never go there after this experience.

There are so many wonderful bites! The eggplant ravioli was excellent.

We ordered a drink and olives with bread. They forgot the bread and the bread we got was four dry end slices😕

The location is beautiful right on the water. The food was disappointing. Small card, that's basically not bad. But if the few things are not of good quality, it is bad. The service staff was professional and the offending wine was replaced without comment.

We went there yesterday for an early dinner. The staff was friendly. The location is perfect by the water and you can be outside, it's really lovely spot for when the weather is nice. The food was excellent. We got the meat dish and the crispy salad plus drinks. Excellent work for the meat and the salad. The side dish of the meat could be improved (potatoes). Will SURELY go back again!!!!

Very attractively located restaurant with a beautiful outdoor area, which is located directly on the traffic-free side on the banks of the Limmat. The menu is manageable and has a selection of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes. The staff are friendly, the place looks straightforward, tidy and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Really likeable.

Dream day, reserved in advance, terrace was full, table right by the water. Serafin served us professionally and, above all, with a sense of humor. Whitefish with side dishes and soup for 26.- was excellent. We felt like we were in Venice!

Amazing location, tasty food and very friendly service. While we waited for a table, the staff told us we could sit at the little pier or at the river wall and order some drinks, soaking in the sun. I was also happy (and impressed) to discover that this restaurant belongs to the social services of the city, and works as a form of integrating people with difficult backgrounds back into the job market.

Loved the experience, our table attendent was personable and fun and the other staff were also professional and friendly. The food was amazing! I enjoyed the Swiss fish dish and washed it down with a glass of delicious Riesling. Such a beautiful setting and we were lucky to get a table without a reservation. Highly recommend.

nice restaurant by the river! beautiful location in the city, not noisy -it is not next to the road (so, there are no cars or trams going next to you while eating). The lunch menu was reasonably priced - comes with a soup or salad and 1 main course: choice of meat, fish or vegetarian. Unfortunately, the meat dish was sold out. We had the fish, the portion was reasonable (not too big, not too small). I ordered the apple strudel dessert - it was delicious. service was very friendly, but slow - if you are in a rush for time, I wouldn't suggest it. If you are visiting Zurich and want to have a simple meal next to the river - highly recommended.
