Glockental in Steffisburg

Gave the restaurant a chance last week. Was just in the region at lunchtime. When I entered the restaurant I noticed the musty smell. Actually, I should have turned back at this point... Then I waited 10 minutes until the employee/boss came to me. Ragout/stock and vegetables are the menu Well, actually I would like a piece of meat... Nothing there... Otherwise she would have to throw everything away. Then I got up, asked myself if she was aware of who was paying her wages and left. So I was there three times. The first, the only and the last time.

It couldn't be more unfriendly than the landlady herself!

Food was ok. Service absolutely incorrect! It's not surprising that only a few people visit this restaurant.

The woman who runs the restaurant doesn't know what she's doing. She's just driving guests away and letting such a great restaurant run dead!!! Closes over 1 hour before and when you call to ask why it's closed she says she works 3pm. Then you should change it on the website too!!! Old people like that shouldn't run a restaurant anymore! Such an outrageous thing

I was there with my work colleague.. (we are craftsmen) and we were the only ones at lunch along with two probably regular guests.. which doesn't surprise you either... Extremely unpleasant conditions... (she hates her job and makes no secret of it...) no menu, and when asked she says it's just that or nothing... we both found it very questionable, the food wasn't bad However, the cutlery was rolled up in a napkin and they didn't need a dining mat at all. Payment only in cash.. the absolutely cheeky dragon asked us in a shameless way if we even knew about it.. once and never again.. so it doesn't surprise you when one restaurant after another closes its doors..

After 15 minutes without service I left again!!!!

A rather older restaurant, as is the service ;-) The food is decent, not top-class gastronomy, but that's not what you go here for. Something special is that the bread is packed in colorful plastic bags for eating. The food is definitely plentiful.

Neighborhood restaurant, the service doesn't do it with joy...

Not recommendable!!! Service was poor, no idea where what was ordered, no idea who took a new seat. Food: I have never eaten so badly. (Not to my taste) Ambience: very colorful, plastic flowers, overloaded with lots of things. Lots of very old guests, similar to a retirement home. I would prefer not to give a single star.

Very bad. Food really carelessly prepared. Creamy schnitzel for 24.- a cheek. Pasta wasn't fresh, far too little for this price. Service wasn't very friendly. Never again

Tagesmenu kannst Du blind bestellen. Suppe, üppiger grüner Salat mit feiner Sauce und kleiner oder grosser Tagessteller. Bedieung ist immer freundlich und aufmerksam. Nach dem Essen begrüsst dich Georges Sollberger persönlich. Ich esse 3 bis 4 Mal pro Monat im Glöggu und wurde noch nie enttäuscht.

Das Restaurant bietet gutbürgerliche Mittagsmenüs zu einem sehr moderaten Preis an. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und schnell, so dass man in Ruhe zu Mittag essen kann und rechtzeitig wieder bei der Arbeit ist. Möglichkeit, im Sommer draussen zu essen, aber dann lohnt sich eine telefonische Reservation.

Wir waren dort zum Mittagessen, weil wir dort vorbei fuhren. Es ist eine Art „Beiz". Es war alles voll, aber nur mit älteren Leuten und Leute die von der Baustelle kamen. Das Essen war solide und der Service auch. Es stank hässlich nach Rauch und das Preisleistung Verhältnis stimmt auch nicht ganz überein.
