I happened to be passing by Lucerne today and, because I didn't order in advance and had other intolerances (histamine, salicylate, sorbitol intolerance and an oral nickel allergy), I didn't expect to buy gluten-free delicacies, but I was still able to get a plaited button, a large sunflower seed bread and crackers Buy the super friendly Esther. Friendly owner and absolutely amazing bread. I was not gluten free growing up but now am and this was one of the best loaves I’ve ever had, gluten free or not. Some Lucerne bakeries will have a gluten free pastry, but slim to none have bread. Just make sure to preorder because there is no day of purchases- although I got a load because she usually makes a couple extra just in case.

Finally. Fresh bread gluten free. Bread with crispy rauf. Pigtail with egg and butter and it smells and tastes like pigtails like my mom used to make, when I was still unconsciously gluten intolerant. Finally, as a bread lover, without any frills. Just bread. Just grateful. And with the bread subscription, fresh pastries every week, including fruit tarts, cinnamon rolls and poppy seed rolls and and and... Wonderful time.
