You have to pay to use the bathroom, and the staff is really unfriendly.

Service is friendly, but the menu is large and you can tell everything is microwaved. 30 Francs for a rösti, it's cheaper on the mountain. Avoid this place.

It’s the most unpleasant bistro in my life. This is place where the staff doesn't care about the customer. Not one of the 4 meals was tasty. the soup is too salty. the fish consists of 80% batter. And only 20% - fish. the meat was spoiled, with a sour taste and a disgusting smell. It feels like they add a lot of salt to the food to hide the poor quality of it. the waiter behaved inappropriately. He screamed so loud, like his is insane. on our promise to leave a bad review- manager say “leave it. I don’t care” I don’t recommend this bistro if you don’t want to ruin the experience of Zermatt.

The staff is friendly, the food is good, nothing more. For value for money it's very good. There is also a super bay window which overlooks the busy street. The rostis are excellent

On Friday around 2 p.m. Very nice, competent waiter. Gave us good advice and the menus were fine. Prices moderate. Great space behind the window. Here we felt that you are (still) welcome as a guest, which you can't necessarily say about other restaurants. We'd love to come back

Friendly waiter. The food was nothing special, but very affordable and therefore good value for money.

I ordered a coffee and a glass of water in the rest. When I wanted to pay, I was amazed. Fr. 8.10 was on the bill. Fr.4.50 for the coffee and 3.80 Fr. for a glass of water. This is a real rip-off. How long can Zermatt continue to allow such crooked practices? They are doing enormous damage to ZERMATT etiquette!

I had a soup here. The taste was nice but now ( 2h later) I feel some pain in my stomach and burning regurgitation reflux...

22 CHF for daily special including soup. Corn soup, croquettes, pork steak (probably loin) with cheese gratin, with gravy, croquettes and broccoli. It tasted damn good. Service actually 6 out of 5 stars. Super friendly and on the ball. ALMOST too fast. Price performance actually deserves 6 out of 5 stars

Nice destination and the best fries

Very friendly service even if the waitress was stressed because she had to serve the ice creams at the same time. Very good röstis, nice portion. take a table overlooking the street, you can watch the passers-by, it's very funny.

Not suitable for intolerances or preferences. Asked the waiter for rösti with mushroom without cheese due to my lactose intolerance, which they followed, however the mushrooms had dairy cream 😠

Place was dirty and full of flies. Service was slow. There were 4 of us in the group and not one meal was good. If it can be over-breaded and fried, it's on the menu.

Didn't like the food, meat platter was way too dry, bread was cold and hard, soup was very salty. Service staff was ok thou, this place is good only for people-watch.

Good location, sunny terrace, good food

Service Level got lower the last years. Very sad. In the past that was one of my favorite places for a fast Drink.

I ordered “iced coffee” but what I got was cold milk with coffee flavor (taste like instant coffee). I also asked water then she brought a glass of water which costed CHF 3.40!! They did not accept a credit card and I was forced to pay in cash. The price was CHF 23.80 and I paid 25. But she did not give me change. I did not intend to leave any tip because of the prices and the quality. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant. The ice cream was good and the price is reasonable.

Great restaurant and central location

Considering the location and design of this place, I knew what would expect me... BASIC food, decent service. The haysoup (yes, made with hay) was excellent though!

Very expensive for the quality you get. It cost us over 50 francs. I got the pork schnitzel, and it was very thick and burnt. The "seasonal vegetables" I got were carrots, brussel sprouts, and 1 piece of cauliflower. The brussel sprouts were a very weird texture and plain gross. I also ordered a hot chocolate, but what I got was a cup of hot milk and a packet of hot chocolate cocoa mix that I had to stir in myself. I appreciate the honesty in that they don't try to hide the fact that it's not high quality, but I've never experienced that before in my life. My boyfriend's rosti "Zermatt" was actually good, but my meal was kinda disappointing.

Average food and service but consider normal in Zermatt! WALLET WAS STOLEN while dining with jacket hanging on the back of the chair and no one sitting around me! Kind of strange to lose your wallet in front of your eye (wife sat opposite to me). Be very careful!!!

We were there several times in August 2017 and enjoy going there. There is often live music here and it is well attended. However, in October and November 2017 it was closed and completely emptied. Unclear when it will reopen.
