We didn't eat here just drank bc they quite literally never close. Or maybe for like an hour at 4am or something. My Airbnb was close by and instead of trying to fight to stay asleep we just went down and started drinking with everyone. I was clearly the only American in and didn't feel out of place at all. Other than the obvious language barrier.

As an Auslander I appreciate the place. It has a homely atmosphere, typical of the natives. But a good soul can be found everywhere. The bartender was very friendly. It's worth stopping by for a little one. If my German was better, I would definitely talk here for a few hours.

Walked in on a Wednesday to clearly locals that want to be left alone (another great reminder of how switzerland is ranked low on friendliness). As a tourist, you expect little but I ask for a Jameson with coke just to get a disgruntled look from the bartender as he pours clearly flat coke into my glass when I was trying to ask for another glass. Clearly, not being a local means people are automatically rude here even when you’re not being rude yourself. They also charged $5 more for the same amount of whiskey you can get at a bar on the street around the corner. Makes you wonder how people get the opinion of Americans that they have in the world when you don’t act rude or disrespectful and still get rude, overpriced, and nothing special service.

He was very helpful with dealing with the bartender/owner. It's the only bar that open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We went in 1 day and we were told 1 patroon had been there for 3 days straight drinking and hadn't gone home. YUP it was entertaining. Keep your purse close and your eyes open.. Good characters in there as well as ummm not so good. Cheap beer was a bonus!
