Very good food, excellent service!

Incredibly good service (the staff almost automatically anticipates your every wish), all products such as meat, wine and are of top quality. Very cozy atmosphere. Very happy to recommend.

We were able to spend a lovely evening with dear friends at Gran Sasso. The host and his team were very warm and attentive. We had fillet, rib eye steak and entrecote. Everything in different weight classes and cooking levels. The meat was cooked PERFECTLY on the charcoal grill. The side dish, a risotto, was also wonderful and plentiful. It was our first time at Gran Sasso but certainly not the last time. Thank you very much for the loving service and hospitality.

Small Spanish restaurant with an original indoor charcoal grill. The starters are very expensive, but also very tasty. My meat, a beef chop, was quite tough. I do this occasionally at home in the summer, without any problems. Maybe the meat hasn't been cured enough...? It's a shame, because people come here for the meat. The wine could be served a little cooler. The French fries as a side dish surprised me: first negatively because there were only a handful on the plate (for over CHF 8 extra), then positively because they were wonderfully crispy and properly salted and there was a constant supply of supplements (which I think is right). Our waiter was clearly annoyed at the beginning, we started our appetizer order with a plate of two even though there were more of us ("That's not possible! That's only for two people!"), without waiting for the other appetizer order... I wouldn't be in company I would have canceled the order... but that went away (he probably realized that there was something to be made here). I had the lambrack from the charcoal grill with a side of fries. The meat itself was flawless, I'd recommend that to anyone. Really good. The side of fries was honestly kind of pathetic, there's no side included in the main dish, so first you need to pay separately, then you get served half a handful of fries that taste like m-budget frozen fries. So my advice would be go for a different side. I'm sure there's some delicious ones, but don't get the fries. That aside it took 2h for the main course to arrive. The service was poor. People were skipped, things were forgotten, many gentle reminders were required for us to get everything we ordered. There were also drinks spilled all over me. That in itself is not a big deal, accidents happen, but they didnt think to properly clear the broken glass shards off the table which is kind of dangerous. After multiple reminders they finally did, but we still had to clear a bunch of shards out ourselves. All in all, the meat is perfect, the sides can be hit or miss, the Service is kind of bad. The prices are quite high considering all the drawbacks. As it is right now I can't really recommend anyone to go here, even though the grill menu is really good.
