Gryffe in Olten

Very long waiting time (approx. 20 minutes) until the drink order was taken. Another 10 minutes for 1 beer and an Aperol spritz. Both service employees walked past several times without checking that there were new guests there. We'll visit a neighboring restaurant tonight.

You need a huge amount of patience here! After ordering, we waited 40 minutes for the drinks and 1 hour for the food. Very unfortunate. The pinsas were good.

It takes forever to get something here. Service could also be friendlier.

We had our Christmas dinner there in a chalet, there was raclette. Unfortunately there was only one type of cheese, which was a shame. It was extremely comfortable and our service was very friendly. Sometimes we had to wait a little longer until she came back. Otherwise tip top.

It is a perfect place to end the evening. Centrally located. Bus stop 1 minute away. Good DJ. We were surprised by a downpour, the parasols were closed! The pinsa with salmon and mascarpone was very tasty. I would love to come back.

When I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by friendly and competent service staff. My wishes were read from the word go and my order was taken quickly. I ordered beer and it was served promptly, chilled and fresh. The atmosphere in the restaurant was welcoming and cozy, and all the staff were very attentive and accommodating. Overall, my visit to the restaurant was a pleasant experience that I would definitely recommend. Valais beer is absolutely recommended (Stange)

I have known the Gryffen for 40 years. In summer I like to sit there in the garden restaurant with my friends and enjoy an aperitif or a delicious coffee. Today, December 10, 2022, I went to the bistro there with a good friend. Since we both have back problems and can't sit on this strange little chair, we both sat on the bench and occupied two small bistro tables. But there were still enough seats next to us and at the bar. 1st order, 2 coffees and croissants, 2nd order 1 tea and another 1 coffee (a young, friendly gentleman served us). Then the (possibly boss) young, arrogant idiot came and asked us to leave the restaurant because a lot of guests were coming. But hello!! Aren't we guests?? And anyone who now thinks that it was a closed society is far from the truth; This was not the case. We paid and left this impossible restaurant. Never again Gryffe!!!

Coffee with milk is world class, cafe very nice

GsD had blankets, otherwise it got a bit cold after a while (for me). Great food, friendly service, Christmassy atmosphere. To recommend.

Everything is great, except that there is still no vegan offering on the menu, and that in 2022… Vegan food in Olten is a rarity anyway, while in other cities it has long been offered everywhere.

Good friendly service, prices ok

The service was a disaster. Unfriendly, inattentive and long waiting times. We wanted to have a quick drink and had to wait 30 minutes. Despite shouting, the waiter only noticed us when the guests pointed it out to him.

A very uncomplicated cafe with friendly service. You feel welcome and you respond to the guest. Always happy again and keep it up.

I came to the Gryffe Inn with my family today (May 19th, 2022). The first waitress was very polite and accommodating. But the second waitress was very cheeky. When asked about non-alcoholic drinks, she said: "If you had looked at the menu, you would have seen it (are you basically blind?)…,, Afterwards, when paying, it turned out that it was the boss. If the boss is rude to guests, you don't want to know how she treats her employees.

Great atmosphere, beautifully designed. Friendly, courteous service, I find it commendable that the guests are addressed on a first-name basis. It can be kept that way.

Awesome bar that also serves snacks. We enjoyed our evening there by having a Tomato Hummus, a Martin Fiero w/ tonic, a Lillet Vive, a Black Russian, an Hugo, a Piña Colada and finally tartare for two. Our evening was relatively cheap, which is another good point in favor of this bar (we ended up paying ~140 CHF for everything, food included). I'll definitely come back, this place is really worth it! 🍻

Friendly staff. Very nice outside on the terrace. Especially recommended in winter - very nice atmosphere. Blankets are provided. There is a large selection of drinks, you can also ask for things that are not on the menu. The staff tries very hard.

It's very comfortable to spend time in the Gryffe, the drinks are great. Unfortunately there is a point deduction for service. We already experienced that we had to wait a long time until we were served even though there were two waitresses outside. Yesterday, however, we found that a new waitress brought us the drinks. She was very insecure and overwhelmed. She threw the drink out and we got most of it. She also couldn't answer our questions. Quote: “As you can see, I’m new here.” Of course we will come back, but we also expect that we will be served in a professional manner.

This is a great place to stop and have a coffee and something to eat. The Pinsa's are fantastic and paired with a view of the town square is a perfect choice for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended

Tolle Atmosphäre draussen aufgebaut und tolle Bierauswahl.

Super Espresso und Cappuccino, Pinsa war auch der Hammer! Freundliche und schnelle Bedienung trotz vollem Lokal. Rustikale Einrichtung. Auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert!

hier gibt es einen eigenen eistee, ein eigenes IPA-bier, einen eigenen gin auch sonst ist dieser ort sehr angenehm: über 80sitzplätze auf der terrasse in der fussgängerzone. sonnenschirme, fackeln und kerzen vermitteln ein gefühl wie in den ferien. gerne wieder!

Wir waren mit ein paar Freunden im Gryffe draussen zum Apero. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Personal ist freundlich & aufmerksam.Gerne wieder.

Gemütliches Café im Herzen der Oltener Altstadt, gerade neben Natur- und Kunstmuseum. Nicht viele Plätze, aber modern eingerichtet. Nette Bedienung, alle sind gleich per Du. Im Winter besucht (nachmittags; bald voll, da gur besucht;das kleine Holzchalet vor dem Café war noch geschlossen). Im Sommer sicher auch schön, wenn man draussen auf dem Platz sitzen kann.

Geschäftlich im Raclette-Chalet gewesen. Stef ist ein sehr zuvorkommender Gastgeber, schneller und unaufdringlicher Service. Die Gäste fühlten sich sofort wohl und "mehr im Urlaub als auf Geschäftsreise". Heimeliges Ambiente dank traditioneller Deko und kuscheligen Fellen als Sitzunterlage. Wer regelmässig zu Besuch ist, bekommt viel Abwechslung geboten mit diversen tollen Anlässen. Für den kleinen Hunger, sind besonders die Salate zu empfehlen.

Seit 2013 ist der Gryffe eine Café/Bar. Feine Gebäcke, sehr gute Gipfeli, Sandwiches und alle möglichen Getränke. Sehr freundlich!

Haben Tageszeitungen! Feines Essen und Snacks, abwechselnd sehr gute, offene Weine im Angebot. Schnelle und trotzdem freundliche Bedienung. Bei jedem Wetter zu empfehlen. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Tolle Getränkekarte. Kaffee & Drinks sind superlecker. V.a. gefällt mir das Monatsbier - es gibt eine tolle Abwechslung. Auch schön, dass es viele lokale Biere gibt. Sie bieten eine willkommene Abwechslung. Sehr nette und kompetente Betriebsleitung und ein aufmerksamer Service. Schöne Terrasse und tolle Events zu allen Jahreszeiten.

Hier einkehren lohnt sich immer!

Nach dem Büro bietet es sich geradezu an, im Gryffe noch einen Apéro zu geniessen - und das auch bei den jetzigen Temperaturen. Es liegen im Eingangsbereich genügend Fliesdecken bereit, so dass es bei Glühwein, Punsch oder Bier auch bei Temperaturen unter 10 Grad kuschelig warm bleibt. Service ist aufmerksam und rasch, die Preise angemessen. Im Moment steht auch das kleine Chalet zum Essen bereit...
