Gütsch in Luzern

Really nice view point. Great service and good coffee!!!

I recently visited the bar at Chateau Gütsch and was extremely disappointed with the service. Despite there being three vacant tables, the staff refused to accommodate several guests, citing a nonexistent "waiting list." Upon further inquiry with the hotel management, we discovered that there is no such waiting list, and it's solely at the discretion of the bar manager to decide when and how many tables to seat. This inconsistency and lack of transparency in their policies are unacceptable. I would not recommend this bar to anyone seeking a pleasant and fair dining experience.

Take a bus to Gutsch stop, approximately 12 minutes from downtown , then you board the special “ elevator” No charge to go to the Hotel, go inside the entrance next to restaurant , ( not the entrance from parking lot ) so you can take a narrow staircase inside the castle to reach the lobby! Love the view , check out the pictures and please like my review .

Very beautiful and the full view over Lucerne. You can go up by car, lift or on foot in 20 minutes. However, there is no signage for walking.

I discovered this charming Château Hotel while collecting my #26th Grand Tour of Switzerland token. 🇨🇭 As I only visited the bar, I can’t really comment on the rooms. However, I’m happy to confirm the great vibe, delicious coffee & gorgeous view of Lucerne and its surroundings from there! ✨ Be sure to also visit the park across the premise, which offers other stunning views and some lovely artwork in its truest meaning. 🏞️ ❤️ 🙌

Absolutely top address. Everything is just right. Rooms, restaurant, bar and garden are very tastefully decorated. The restaurant's dishes are excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You immediately feel welcome. We will definitely go back.

Had One of the most Memorable stays of my life at this super pretty and cute hotel. The rooms are well made architecturally and the small windows give you a great view of the whole city. Hotel Château Gütsch enjoys a prime location atop a hill overlooking the stunning city. Its elevated position provides breathtaking views of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains. The hotel's setting offers a serene atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of the city center while still being within easy reach of Lucerne's attractions. While Hotel Château Gütsch may represent a higher-end option in Lucerne, the exceptional quality of accommodation, dining, and service justifies the investment. You can surely expect to receive excellent value for their money, with the added bonus of unparalleled views and a unique historical setting. I would say its a truly unforgettable experience for those seeking luxury, tranquility, and unparalleled views in Lucerne. Whether visiting for a romantic getaway, a special occasion, or a business trip, guests are sure to be enchanted by the charm and elegance of this historic château. Must Visit.

Die Aussicht (Zimmer mit Seesicht) und das Essen im Restaurant! Top Qualität! Nicht gefallen: Teilweise etwas heruntergekommen und es wurde wohl das ein oder andere sanft renoviert. Vieles wirkt jedoch provisorisch (zb. Lift) Auch die Aussenanlage leider nicht wirklich Schlossgemäss - Die Preise sind stolz eher schon fast überteuert für was geboten wird.

Aussicht top, Zvieri flop. Kaffee war leider lauwarm und die Wähen klein, zu wenig belegt und im Verhältnis zu teuer. Die Wähen wurden jedoch auf einem großen Teller mit etwas Deko angerichtet. Das Kuchenangebot war mickrig. Bedienung reagierte schnippisch auf Kritik. Hier kommen wir nicht mehr hin.

Sind bereits zum 4. mal im Gütsch. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, sehr gutes Restaurant und eine gemütliche Bar mit Hammer Drinks beste Barkarte der Schweiz. Was will man mehr :-)

Essen ist sehr gut. Wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Stadt Luzern!

Service here, as you will read in many of the comments, has been less than mediocre. With the exception of Ms Spieckermann, none of the people there have been at all helpful. In no way am I saying these are bad people, just incompetent thus far in my ongoing experience. I hope to be proved wrong in the future. But a word of caution for the foreign traveler - be careful.

Château Gütsch is one of those hotels that make Switzerland Switzerland. It is a castle on a hill with breath taking views of Lucern, the lake, and the surrounding mountains. The terrace is lovely. We only dropped in for an afternoon coffee but were treated like VIPs. Rumor has it that the bar is the best bar in Lucern.
