PETRUS in Luzern

Idyllic location when you have children with the park right opposite. The food is very good, whether for breakfast, meals, brunch or dinner. The staff is super welcoming, and the setting is very pretty, with lots of places. It's a very good place. I recommend.

Saturday came to the store at 12:30 and wanted to go to the “work zone” to work. Stood at the reception and politely asked for one of the many empty tables. An employee grumbled and looked at the day's occupancy. Another employee came and said - no, sorry, no space - even though 3-4 tables at the back were empty. Absolute impudence. We arrived especially from the canton of Aargau. Will never visit this shed again. Snooty employees.

We had dinner at this restaurant for a team outing. The starter (mixed salad) and the pizzas were very good. For dessert we were offered a small ice cream in a bucket, which we could choose and get ourselves from the freezer. This ice cream was almost four months overdue and apparently they knew that, but no one informed us. You could already tell that the top layer had dried out and it shouldn't have been sold anymore. Simply an impudence and a bad figurehead...

The food at Petrus is always wonderful and the lunch menus vary daily. I've never really disliked anything from the Petrus kitchen. The staff is very friendly. It is only in the work zone that you often cannot concentrate very well to work effectively, as there are often small children playing. Otherwise, really a recommended location!

Very good pizza in original variations. It would be cool to be able to order the mega pizza bread as a side dish, for example with a salad or soup.

The food was okay, but the portions are rather small, coffee is really good. Nicely designed place with enough space. However, the experience of a nice Sunday brunch was spoiled as the waiter simply forgot about my order. We ordered 1 dish each and coffee, later my bf received his dish and I was still waiting then after like 10 minutes of waiting I had to ask a waiter where is my order and he said he didn’t hear me ordering it….hence, later I received my dish, but we ate at different time. Later, the waiter asked us to pay but forgot to clean up our table. Not coming there again.

Plate cold, therefore mashed potatoes cold. Very small portions. Side dishes like potatoes aren't all that expensive. I don't eat large portions, but here I was just about full. Almost 7 francs for tap water despite an alcoholic drink. There are better addresses where the food tastes just as good.

This cool shed has impressed me several times. Whether I'm enjoying the delicious brunch menu or the delicious pizzas in the evening, I'm never disappointed. The atmosphere in Petrus is simply relaxed and unique. The alternatively furnished rooms create a pleasant atmosphere and I always feel very comfortable here. The service staff also deserve high praise! They are super accommodating and friendly, which makes eating at PETRUS Petrus a thoroughly enjoyable experience. You really feel welcome and would love to come back.

We have been guests of Petrus for a long time. We appreciate the diversity of the menu selection, how the dishes are prepared, the relaxed atmosphere and of course the friendly staff. We always look forward to small talk with Sidney. Great, keep it up!

Unfortunately we were only served when we drew attention to ourselves. However, we were then rewarded with very tasty food. We were even offered a free drink as an apology. We would love to come again.

A restaurant in front of the park. The salad, ravioli, beef, and wine were all very delicious. The ravioli was the best I've ever had.

Great alternatively furnished restaurant combined with a small shop with decorations and clothing. But the focus is on the restaurant. Great, creative dishes that I have never seen on a menu before. Very great selection for veggies. The staff is super friendly and attentive. You can tell that they enjoy their work. The atmosphere is super casual. There is even a designated working zone with sockets.

Pretty and large café/pizzeria with a relaxed atmosphere. There is space and it seems family friendly. Nicely decorated with a vintage style. The food is Italian and international inspired, we had home made ravioli and wood oven baked pizzas. The vegan and vegetarian options are clearly indicated on the menu. The food was fresh with seasonal ingredients, and the staff very helpful and friendly.

What a disappointment. Walked for 30 minutes to get here when they opened only to be told without a reservation we may not be able to eat here, even though the restaurant was empty. They then said they have one table but someone with a computer was working there. After basically being ignored for another 10 minutes, (They we’re giving staff instructions) which should be done before opening your doors, we left. You sell pizza people. When your doors are open you should be ready to serve customers. Fill your restaurant and keep turning tables that’s how restaurants stay in business.

Very special atmosphere. A lot of courage to do something different. The food was surprising, I didn't expect it to be so tasty. Very friendly, motivated staff. Here you don't get the run-of-the-mill cuisine. The dishes are simple, healthy and really good. The furnishings really fit.

It is one of my favorite places in Lucerne, always friendly service and the place is large and cozy at the same time.

Interesting brunch selection far from the usual monotony. There is even Fritz rhubarb spritzer here. We were definitely not here for the last time.

Nice service, good food, very child-friendly... whether you're traveling with an infant (changing table available, enough space for a stroller, buggy) or whether you're traveling with a small child (playground outside), there's nothing missing

Cool, cozy and well-kept restaurant with different ambience areas. I also really enjoy working there with a coffee or snack. But the dishes, especially the pizzas, are also very imaginative, lots of vegetarian options and of course delicious! The outdoor area is very popular and lively, especially in summer. As a neighbor, I like to continue to come by here more often ;-).

Love the food as well as hospitality

Me and my girlfriend went there on a Sunday morning. Nobody asked us the Covid certificate. I find cappuccino for 6 CHF quite expensive. Only one toilet for men, women and disabled people. I wanted to read the newspaper: just a copy of the local newspaper (from the previous day ie the Saturday paper).

Totally delicious food, great selection for vegans/vegetarians too. Super nice service and very nice atmosphere. Always happy to come back!

If you plan to eat "Neapolitan" pizza, you should avoid this place. This has nothing to do with the Neapolitan tradition, but as a standard pizza it was perfectly fine, but it was still a bit heavy in the stomach afterwards. Nice place, diverse guests, playground right next door for young and old.

I can't understand the good reviews, the staff (blond curly hair) was demotivated and uninterested. You won't find a changing table. Everything is also relatively expensive. No idea what's so great about all this...? Addendum: Valeria's explanation doesn't make the experience any better, but it shows that not all of Peter is bad after all. Therefore I am revising it to 2 stars.

The staff is very friendly and, if you have allergies or intolerances, they also offer menu items that are not on the menu. The food is very tasty and fresh. Even non-vegis will definitely get their money's worth here.
