Hafenbeiz in Kilchberg (ZH)

We went here to eat for dinner. Such a nice experience. Food was excellent, the ambience was amazing, quiet, yet welcoming. I couldn’t recommend it more when you want an escape from the regular Zurich restaurants.

We had something to celebrate on March 7th and the evening was great. The pre-ordered wines were ready, a super nice table, the surprise flowers in the water and everyone congratulated us. The service met our every need and the food was excellent at a moderate price. Thank you dear Hafenbeiz team for this wonderful evening in your cozy restaurant! We are looking forward to the next time.

Very fine RipEye and sushi. It was so good that I had another schnitzel afterwards.

actually the only place in Switzerland i found so far that comes close to selling a proper schnitzel. fondue was ok, a bit bland.

The Hafenbeiz is a beautiful restaurant with a lot of charm. The furnishings with many rustic elements create a very cozy atmosphere. I really enjoy coming here several times a year, whether for lunch or dinner. There is something to eat for all tastes and price ranges. From simple bratwurst to chicken wings à discretion, raclette & fondue to Mongolian pot, almost everyone is served here. Unfortunately there are very few vegetarian and vegan options (Hiltl vegi burger and a few side dishes). The staff is always very friendly, motivated and you don't have to wait long for your food, even in a group. I've had the chicken wings à discretion several times, which are always very tasty, delicately seasoned and crispy. You always get enough chicken wings and we make sure that not too many are served at once, so there is no food waste! The truffle fries are also a hit if you like truffles. For dessert, I recommend the giant cream slices if there are several people (two people or more)! There are enough parking spaces, either directly in front of the restaurant or opposite in 2 public parking spaces. A visit in winter is highly recommended as the restaurant looks very beautiful with all the lighting. See you soon!

We LOVE the reopened bar! Great guys! The service is excellent and the ambience is great! The winter garden is cozy and inside you have the feeling of being in old New York.

On good weather days they are opened across the road and this is closed. The restaurant across the road has a different menu. Not sure why they claim that this is open when it is not.

Modern twist on a traditional setting with a cool vibe. Traditional Swiss food, all really great. We had the fondue with a wienerschnitzel. The truffle fries (which were excellent) and an incredible salad to start. Pretty good portion sizes/value. In summer the restaurant operates mainly on its location across the road, right on lake Zurich. Fantastic setting, great interiors. Service was really good too, the waiter was super patient answering questions about the menu and dishes and really attentive when needed without being overbearing. Highly recommended.

We ate very well after having swallowed rubbish in France I must say that this little restaurant was a surprise there is a strong smell of Swiss cheese but the food is really good and the chef is really good compliments the kind and very helpful service in France we are were treated in the face and welcomed here by tourists.

I still know the harbor pub as formerly Cadaloco. Very gite Swiss cuisine, very friendly staff and very clean! And you'll definitely get enough to eat! It's always worth a visit!

Family atmosphere and delicious food

Most beautiful Fumoir Bar on the left bank of Lake Zurich! The bartenders do their job very professionally and are also super friendly. Go there!

Very, very great. Service was very accommodating, friendly and very pleasant. Wine and food fantastic. The location is spread over several floors inside the building. You feel like you're on vacation and not like you're on Lake Zurich. And the bar was also very cool. We'll definitely be back!

I had the pleasure of making my experiences there as a young chef in the 80s when the Untere Mönchhof was still a gourmet restaurant. The Resti went through many stages. Today the offer is good and the food is valuable, wholesome and good. Staff and service is good. There is always room for improvement. It's a shame that the tenant is someone who believes his belly button is the be-all and end-all of the world. Well

Awesome cozy restaurant in Kilchberg! Reservation strongly recommended! There are 4 areas in the building -Ground floor: the bar and a nice interior patio -First floor: quiet restaurant sitting area -second floor: main restaurant sitting area with a charcoal grill All areas are amazingly decorated Appetizers and main dishes were amazing! Strongly recommended beef steak (tomahawk) for 2 persons - its roasted on the charcoal grill The staff is really friendly and tries to accommodate your needs, they speak very good English and German. The menu has a lot of options including on top nice Fondue and Raclette choices

Chicken wings were too salty for me. And if you read my other reviews you know: I have an issue with paying for tab water IF I’m having a (rather pricey) full course meal and expensive wine with it. Here it’s CHF 9.5 for a liter, I’m not joking…

Not the place for a fine fondue evening. Fondue was watery, but boiling it a second time made it better. Bread was stale and overbaked, like toast. It does not work. Rechaud also kept going out. Strong smell of sweat from the waiter, but otherwise the service was very nice.

Feels abit like a restaurant in the lofoten. Loved the food! What an amazing night we had. Loved the servant girl from upstairs. Thank you guys.

The winter is here! Incredibly beautiful! They did a really good job there. When it comes to eating, everything we know is simply different! There's a super cool bar downstairs, something for everyone!
