The museum is incredible! Easily accessible from Zurich, the museum is very large and tells the entire story from the discovery of cocoa to the establishment of chocolate factories in Switzerland. The audio guide has several language options, Brazilian Portuguese being one of them. There are several points to stop and listen to the rich history of cocoa until it became the chocolate we know today. There are giveaways throughout the tour and chocolate tasting too. A very immersive and truly enchanting experience.

When you enter there are fountains of white, milk and dark chocolate, they also give you pieces of chocolate in machines where when you place your hand it releases pieces, there are approximately 8 of these machines, then at the exit they let you take one of each chocolate. flavor, they explain the entire process of making chocolate, there are audio guides at the entrance. If you buy tickets online you go directly to where the tour begins, it is not necessary to go to the counter. There is a cafeteria inside and a Lindt store, it is mandatory to store bags or backpacks in the lockers next to the bathrooms.

The "manor house" of Lindt chocolate, turned into a kind of chocolate theme park. All very spacious, but also crowded. Just entering to my right is the largest chocolate fountain in Switzerland... Only for demonstration purposes because for hygienic reasons you can't taste it. To the left of the large fountain there are combination lockers to leave backpacks and coats. In the background there is a stage with continuous session film for those who cannot get tickets. If you have tickets, then you can take an audio guide that explains the whole visit in your favorite language of about eight or nine to choose from. In the circuit you can see in great detail the whole world of chocolate and taste many tastes and textures. At the end you pass by the Lindt store, one of the largest in the world and very well stocked with all or perhaps all Lindt chocolate products. When leaving there it is normal not to taste the chocolate for a few days!!!

Visiting the Café, we tried some basics such as the two types of soft ice – Fior di Latte and Chocolat – as well as the classic hot chocolate. The soft ice was ok, but of course overpriced. The "hot" chocolate was neither hot nor creamy. There were visible chocolate particles suspended in a mild chocolate liquid. Obviously, there was no quality control. The exhibition itself is clearly a place for uncritical chocoholics. The architecture is unimaginative, clunky and ungainly. Airports have greater charme. Nevertheless, it is clear that this place will do well in commercial terms, since most visitors just want their numbing sugar boost.

As soon as we arrived in Zurich, our first visit was here, to the chocolate museum, a place worth seeing, fun and educational, I was surprised and still am surprised by the kindness of all the staff, the ease of communicating with them both in Spanish, As in English (low level) everyone makes an effort to help you with a smile and unmeasured politeness, including the cafeteria waiters, we will definitely return, thank you for making our experience so pleasant.

Review of the Lindt Chocolate Museum in Kilchberg: We visited the Lindt Chocolate Museum in Kilchberg with our family and had a great time. The opportunities to try the different types of chocolate were fantastic. However, the museum is intended more for older visitors, as the children had little interest in listening due to the loud background noise from the loudspeakers. The audio quality was therefore poor. The tour of the museum was simple but interesting and lasted a maximum of an hour. All the staff were very nice and helpful. The parking options were great and the prices in the museum were reasonable. Overall, we had a good experience at the Lindt Chocolate Museum, although there is some room for improvement.

An amazing place that is a definite must-see when we are in Zurich - of course, if we like chocolate. I was here before New Year's Eve. Three months have passed and I still remember this visit fondly. The chocolate house shows us from scratch how this sweet delicacy is made. It also tells about its genesis. The whole thing seems very luxurious, especially the initial "chocolate fountain" at the entrance. The main attraction was undoubtedly the opportunity to taste different flavors of chocolate - in liquid and solid form. At the end of the trip, you could also take one of each flavor from special baskets. In general, I highly recommend it, as well as the machine that dispenses chocolate in an interesting way after presenting the ticket.

The best chocolate factory experience I’ve ever had! Make sure you go for the guided tour. They have such interesting stories and samples to try which you otherwise won’t find. The tour leaves you with some 10-15 chocolate samples + the 3 mighty chocolate fountain tasting sessions. It was great! Would love to visit again.

Please like this comment so people who come here know this! To be clear, this is just a big chocolate shop, which means if you check out the chocolate section of a big supermarket, you'll probably spend less money and have more fun. I absolutely advise against it and for the first time only give it 2 stars. Our visit, which we made with great expectations, was terrible. After reading some informative texts in a few different rooms, you can try 3 different hot chocolates, right next to it there is a tasting point for what are probably Lindt's worst chocolates, and when you leave you are handed a few small round chocolates. From a distance you look at empty kitchens and machines, and finally you can scan your entry code and buy a chocolate for 0.50 cents, for which you will probably have to wait in line for 15 minutes. There is also a paid underground car park in the basement.

Very clearly structured museum. A free audio guide takes you through the museum. A great journey from the cocoa bean to the finished chocolate bar. You have the opportunity to taste liquid chocolate and try your way through different types of chocolate and test yourself to see if you can guess which type it was. The price is cheap in my opinion, considering that you can taste as much chocolate as you want. I would come again!! I definitely recommend coming straight at 10:00.

We booked a guided tour. It was really chaotic. The guide seemed to be new and unsure of what he was doing. There were people not on the tour wandering around us and interrupting our guide and asking him questions and trying to get the samples that were specifically for our tour. And then the chocolate making part of the factory was finished by the time we got there. I'd have thought that if there was a guided tour still ongoing, then they could have kept this running for the tour. They had a spin the wheel type board to see which Lindt freebie you would get, but again, by the time we got there, they were making you spin the wheel but only had the small chocolte bunnies left. Very disappointing.

It is a nice place, the chocolate store is convenient, it also has a cafe.. We waited for 2 hours and went upstairs.. You can visit in 10 minutes.. They give you a few chocolates, there are not many jokes, there is a forest view with animated cocoa trees and the other images are designed as a story book. .I don't think it was worth the money..everything is done with automatic machines..only the free parts can be visited..there is a free demonstration explaining the history of the factory in the show hall downstairs..it is enough anyway..you go up some of the stairs on the upper floor, then you scan the ticket and enter. ..is it necessary?...I don't think so..I suggest you pay for chocolate instead.

We accidentally clicked on (booked) a date for the Chocolate making experience with our kids, that was one week before we got to Switzerland. Our mistake, admittedly. Easy to do - just clicked on the wrong Friday on the online calendar. But we were more than a little disappointed that Lindt couldn't either a) accommodate us on a different date or b) even consider giving us a "credit" to come back next year (we expect to be back in Switzerland next year roughly same time). I would have expected more quite frankly. I'd have gone down to one star, but for the fact that we accept responsibility for the error. Just would have expected more consideration from Lindt. Our children were very disappointed to put it mildly.

The Lindt Home of Chocolate is a must-visit destination for chocolate lovers and enthusiasts. The Lindt Home of Chocolate features a museum dedicated to the history and production of chocolate. Visitors can learn about the origins of chocolate, the cocoa bean cultivation process, and the evolution of chocolate-making techniques over the centuries. The museum offers interactive exhibits where visitors can engage their senses and learn about the chocolate-making process through hands-on experiences. This includes activities like chocolate tasting, smelling different cocoa beans, and watching chocolate being made by expert chocolatiers. One of the highlights of the Lindt Home of Chocolate is the impressive chocolate fountain, which stands at 9 meters tall. Visitors can marvel at the flowing streams of melted Lindt chocolate and even dip various treats like fruits and marshmallows into the fountain. No visit to the Lindt Home of Chocolate would be complete without a trip to the chocolate shop. Here, visitors can purchase a wide range of Lindt chocolates and confections, including exclusive and limited-edition products that are not available elsewhere. The Lindt Home of Chocolate also features a café and restaurant where visitors can indulge in decadent chocolate-themed desserts, pastries, and beverages. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a sweet treat after exploring the museum. For those interested in learning the art of chocolate-making themselves, the Lindt Home of Chocolate offers courses and workshops where participants can create their own chocolate masterpieces under the guidance of expert chocolatiers. Do take the scenic boat ride to the museum.

The tour is mainly focused in 3 to 4 halls related to history of Chocolate. A tasting is offered for the 3 melted chocolate flavours - milk, dark and white, along with the Lindt cream filled ones. It is short and has very little to do with the flavours and types of Lindt chocolates. The tour is not worth the hype in my opinion, and the prices at the Lindt, Home of Chocolate shop are very similar to the ones in the local markets, except for some bulk discount packing options for a few of the varities. What I found most repulsive was the attitude of the staff in the gift shop. He bluntly refused to pack almost CHF 200 worth of chocolates in a few small bags (I explained that some of these were gifts) and even after re-checking with his manager said with air "you need to pay extra for small bags". Also he refused to allow me to make multiple small bills for the same. At the much advertised and touted "Lindt, Home of Chocolate" , this attitude is really disappointing, it ruined our experience further after the disappointing tour. Shame on Lindt for the policies and the staff attitude which reflects poorly on the brand. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

There are different dining areas, I prefer the old rooms with the low ceiling and the few tables in one space. Of course there are others who like the loud and chatty atmosphere, not for me thank you. The individual dishes are prepared with an intense level of attention and care. The service is very good, though I prefer waitresses and waiters to be dressed more discretely, less like young fashion conscious individuals, we are not guest in a restaurant to focus on how the waiting service is dressed. While the selection of wines is superb and the economic logic of such restaurants is clear, there is something asymmetric when the food is relatively cheap in comparison to the wines, which, while having been seleccted by the sommelier of the restaurant, nevertheless renders the work of the kitchen significantly less valuable. It was therefore interesting to see the regulars refraining from drinking wine altogether and opting for either beer or water. It should also be noted that the community of Kilchberg, that owns the historic building, has rented it to the restauranteur at a very low rate.
