Very tasty, huge cordon bleu, excellent taste, great value for money, very attentive and friendly service, good all around.

The first time I ate in Haldenbach, I was greeted not only with delicious food but also with first-class service. The owners and their waiters attach great importance to customer satisfaction and you can tell that immediately. The restaurant is very centrally located and offers a nice outdoor ambience in summer

Excellent service. The owner is very familiar, had some great conversations, and absolute passion is palpable. For me, this is probably my favorite restaurant in Zurich. Food recommendation: Fish dishes taste very tasty and are recommended.

Good tasting pork cordon bleu with good Gruyère cheese and a relatively intense meat flavor. It would probably be good for the meat to be pounded a little so that it becomes more subtle and tender. The breading could be a little less hard, as long as it doesn't lose its crispiness. Good salad, friendly service.

Really good... I would try to plate the 🐷 cordonbleu a little more so that it becomes a little more tender... But the taste is great, keep it up Maybe you could tune the salad dressing a bit or use a salad with a little more bite (lettuce, for example... I highly recommend any tourist to stop by this restaurant. Both our servers were fantastic! The Chicken Cordon Bleu, Fagottini Tartufo al burro, & Rosti Haldenbach were fantastic! The older Gentleman we thank you for running to the store to pick up some ginger beer for our mules and the younger gentleman who served us the rest of the night, we thank you so much! You were so kind and next time we visit we will make sure to be able to converse in German. Thank you for the hospitality and wonderful food and atmosphere.

Restaurant with good quality meat and fish offerings. Welcoming staff, possibility of choosing between indoor environments and pleasantly undelimited outdoor spaces. We ate fish accompanied by spinach and rice. Simple but well cooked dish and carefully cleaned fish.

Very tasty cordon bleu. Cheese well chosen. For the fries, I would have hoped for home-made mayonnaise for the price and not that a tube was put on the table.

One of the best Codonbleus I've ever eaten. Beautiful breading, just the right amount of cheese from the first to the last bite and the size was just amazing. The service was very friendly and we felt very comfortable and looked after. Gladly again!!!!

This quaint family owned Swiss restaurant serves the best cordon bleu I've ever had. My wife gives the grilled vegetables with Rösti very high appraise.

Unhealthy food, especially cordon bleu, French fries etc., nothing vegetarian. I opted for Caeser's salad - unfortunately only something indefinable, probably iceberg lettuce drowned in mayonnaise and a few pieces of chicken on top. I can't remember ever having such a bad meal anywhere, it's a shame about the good location 😖

Went there for dinner with a friend. It's really nice in district 6 and you can sit outside. On recommendation, I had cordon bleu: Maybe I was just unlucky, but mine was anything but great, some of the crust was burnt and simply over-deminsional. Fries were ok. Maybe I'll give it another chance another day.

The classic in Haldenbach - come with a lot of hunger, otherwise you won't have enough space in your stomach. Great ambience (something you sometimes miss in restaurants of this type) and hearty service! A visit once a year is a must: see you soon!

Very good restaurant with a nice interior and pleasant outdoor seating. Friendly, attentive service. The fine cordon bleu have already been mentioned several times and are really delicious. We also highly recommend the veal liver with rösti. The liver is perfectly on point and very tender, the hash browns are golden brown as they should be. Conclusion, really good cuisine.

The place is very small and simple but well kept in a quiet street near the center. I tried the famous chicken cordon blue served with salad and rösti. The dish was very tasty, excellent quality meat and generous portions. The staff was not too friendly. The restaurant is still worth visiting. Excellent value for money

Our family went here for our last meal in Switzerland. It was absolutely fantastic. We ordered the Schnitzel and beef stroganoff. It was completely a local vibe and we LOVED it! The food was outstanding. Do not hesitate to go there!

Wonderful restaurant with excellent service from the host “Bico”. We celebrated a friend's birthday there. The veal cordon bleu with fries and a mixed salad was world class. The portions are extremely generous. For me one of the best Cordonbleus in Zurich. The host “Bico” puts his heart and soul into it and pampers his guests with his well-rehearsed team. Amazing vibe, friendly owner and staff, charming settings! Unfortunately, the food is terrible… puzzled by the rest of good reviews, either we were served “ tourist food” or the standard is off. Of note, we were served way earlier than other patrons who came long before us. The wine we asked was not available and substituted for other wine which was insipid. Breakfast hash brown and awful pasta was served for dinner… The meat, was worse than pet food quality… For 175 Francs, it’s really waste of money…

Super nice place to stay in this heat. The mixed drinks were good, the service was incomprehensible: wait, wait, wait - even though there were no other guests there - and again when paying. A pity.

Definitely the best Cordn Bleu in Zurich! Also very large and the fries are also very tasty. The rest of the food on offer is also very good. The traffic-free street is ideal for spending a long time outside and enjoying the hospitable and fast service. It was a pleasure!

It feels like a local restaurant just up the stairs from Zurich HB. I went there wanting to try the Cordon Bleu after reading the reviews, but it looked big, so I ordered the Kalbs Cordon Bleu XXL (probably veal), which comes in a smaller (half size?) size. Although it's small, it's about the size of a large Japanese pork cutlet and comes with potatoes and salad, so it's quite a portion. If you order beer in a mug, it costs around 42 CHF, which is quite reasonable. The staff at the restaurant are friendly, and they even bring their own smartphones to help with Wi-Fi, and are kind enough to explain the menu. It was around 9pm, but people who looked like neighbors were also drinking and chatting with the people at the bar. I would like to go again and try another menu. it's recommended.

This one is our favourite local restaurant, especially in summer with outdoor seating. They always provide fresh food with quality ingredients, friendly service and laid-back atmosphere. The chicken breast cordon bleu is best in town without a doubt, but all the other dishes are done nicely and in great quality. Highly recommended!

The pizza and environment is very enjoyable on a sunny noon. If the weather is nice it might be best to reserve in advance or the best places will be taken.

Wanted a place to eat near our hotel without going back downtown in Zurich. Found the Haldenbach only 750 meters away. Local family owned restaurant supported by the neighborhood. Our server from Turkey was very friendly and accommodating. Their specialty is Cordon Bleu in veal, pork or chicken. We asked for his suggestions and were not disappointed. He said it was very big, (figured almost a pound) so we split it. There was plenty for both of us. His wine suggestion was a delicious Tuscany wine. So good I had two. Dessert was a warm chocolate cake with a chocolate pudding center and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you are looking for a delicious meal and a decadent dessert this is the place. You will not be disappointed with the food or the staff.

So happy I stumbled on this place. It looks inviting and unassuming. I walked in looking for a dinner menu. The server asked if I spoke deutsch. I do not. So him and another server took their time (and at the start of the dinner hour) to read me the whole menu. And the food was SO great. I’m sad I found this on my last day. I would have gone back for seconds

Simply impeccable. Small, clear menu, but you still need a few minutes to decide because every dish on it sounds tempting. Home-style cooking with a pinch of creativity and superbly cooked - there is someone in the kitchen who not only understands his craft, but also loves it. The service was also A1, very friendly on top of that. I stumbled across this insider tip by chance, but I'm sure it won't be the last time I eat at Haldenbach. Highly Recommended.
