Hausamann Cafe in Zürich

Apart from the braid (poppy seed braid is my favorite), they have everything at its finest. The frozen cakes are unique. Anyone who asks about ice cream cakes is completely wrong, the cakes are unique and you enjoy them differently than an ice cream cake, thawed and completely fresh. You quickly figure out the perfect timing.

The staff at Hausammann Bakery in Kirche Fluntern is extremely friendly and attentive. The fresh baked goods are delicious and the cozy atmosphere makes the visit a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

Yesterday afternoon, January 5th, we had a small meal at Hausammann Kirche Fluntern. The cafe was crowded with people sitting and waiting. There was only one service lady who had to take care of all these people, you could really feel the poor woman's stress. She tried very hard and did her job very professionally, but it was an unacceptable sight for the guests!

Craziness. The lady in front of me was refused to spontaneously switch from take-away to eat here. The cashier was incredibly rude. I will avoid the Hausamann in Fluntern in the future.

Very unfriendly staff. I ordered a sandwich to take away. I immediately made up my mind (because of the rain outside) and ordered a cappuccino. They said: it doesn't work anymore. Then they gave me the sandwich warm in a napkin (no plate, no bag). The cappuccino was sour and not at all fine. NEVER AGAIN.

I have been going to this branch for years and the staff is very friendly and nice. The products are always very high quality and fine😋 I would love to go there again and again.

Good products and pleasantly furnished. As a non-regular customer, I got the impression that I was looked at completely differently each time. For my understanding, therefore, not entirely friendly comme il faut.

The staff is without exception disastrously unfriendly, disinterested and couldn't do their job with less joy. Even a vending machine would be friendlier. The branch looks unkempt and outdated. The seating in particular is worn and shabby. The baked goods are solid and quite good.

Delicious lunch spot. Very kid-friendly. The fish shaped bread rolls with lox salmon were delightful and delicious. We tried multiple cakes and pastries and all were fantastic! Highly recommend.

This morning I was at the Hausammann bakery in Vorderberg. I was greeted very friendly and immediately felt comfortable and welcome. The advice was also great👍🏻. Was there for the first time. The things I bought were very fine. The cafe looked very cozy and clean. I can really recommend this bakery and I will definitely come back. Thank you👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!

I walked into this bakery at 4:55 p.m. (not knowing that the bakery was closing). That's absolutely okay if they close, but what was absolutely not okay is that this older lady didn't even greet me. It's not my fault if you don't like your job. Service: 0 stars Pastries etc: mediocre Never coming back, thank you

This cafe offers very good homemade products (bakery, pastries, sandwiches,...) and has a cozy atmosphere with comfortable places to sit. Service, I must say, isn't on average the friendliest in Zürich. Could be better.

We were able to enjoy a very tasty breakfast here with a group. Thank you again!

Unfriendly female staff (the only man at the counter is friendly). They don't know politeness. Training is urgently needed here on how to deal with customers in a friendly and decent manner. Who is the boss here and allows such unprofessional behavior?!

Good pastries, pastry goods were also very good. A perfect place where you can sit down with your laptop, do your work and drink coffee at the same time. Very close to the bus stop and even free WiFi. Definitely a coffee shop I will visit again in the future.

A few years ago I bought a roll with Camembert cheese, the cheese was hard and the roll had been on the shelf for a long time 🤨🥴 that shouldn't be the case, ugh

Soooo unfriendly. I ordered another tea at 6:20 p.m. and the waitress told me that she was closing. The official opening time was until 7:00 p.m. Just so unfriendly.

Good bakery and cozy neighbourhood caffe. But there is a very rude woman working there (don't have the name but longish brown curly hair). I would recommend to stop and order something there and ask a question about a product to have this "out of this world" human interaction. Young pretty women get an additional layer of disagreability. I say this in good spirits to Hausamann, you should have mystery shoppers system tracking customer service quality, as even for Swiss levels of service this lady is just too much and should reconsider being customer facing as she really seems to hate people, the products and her job. 3 stars for customer experience 4start quality products 3 stars pricing of the meter long Zopf.

Opening hours in the morning 6:15 a.m. Inventory in baskets. Not possible to get anything upon request. Sorry, but not like that. For me, open at a bakery means: at 6:15 a.m. I also get a roll and croissants.

Dear readers I have been visiting this bakery for over 10 years now and I have to say with a heavy heart that the quality of the croissants and plaited bread has drastically decreased in recent years. They used to have one of the best Zopf's in the entire city of Zurich, but unfortunately that's no longer the case in my opinion. The peaks are only good if they have been in the oven for too long and are therefore nice and crispy.

Very good patisserie, best lemon cake. Large indoor cafeteria.

Sometimes the sales ladies could be friendlier. BUT: they have fine baked goods here that are so rare to find in Zurich. That's why I like to come here again and again.

Great burger for lunch, the quality of the products otherwise...well. The braid is maximally mediocre for something called “De Zopf Beck vo Züri”. Otherwise extremely demotivated and unfriendly staff. The price-performance ratio is beyond good and bad - even for Zurich standards. Absolutely not recommended for anyone looking for Sunday plaited and croissant happiness. Fortunately, there is a very good alternative very close by and the 3 minute walk there is well worth it.

Probably the worst bakery I've ever been to. The staff conducts private conversations on the telephone and does not greet you; the telephone call is finished first. The salmon roll was hard and the salmon was sour. The peaks are flat, small and mushy and not even pre-fermented, as if it were stale bread. No trace of quality. Absolutely not recommended.

A peaceful and clean environment. It is especially beautiful to serve the milk given for coffee with chocolate.

Okay coffee. There are always a lot of older people who meet here to gossip. Good selection of baked goods. Some are also cut up and sold by weight (e.g. braid). The staff never changes and the faces have been the same for years. You can pay by card. There is also an outdoor seating area. Open on Sunday mornings.

I had a very bad experience in this cafe'. The employees are very demotivated and look angry with the customers. I tried to order a cappuccino at 18.15 and the ladies did not want to give me because was "late" ( it Closes at 19.00)! Incredible. Another time I tried to plug in my PC on an electric socket and I was denied ( how much will cost them, 0.1 CHF? While I was sitting there I spent almost 15 CHF! Suggestions for the Management: 1) Hire new employees 2) Train them in customer relationship The Food they offer is good, Problems are the employees

Good, but this mini pretzel roll with two slices of meat cheese and a bit of butter cost 5.20 francs. That seems a bit crazy to me...

Actually quite good, but very expensive. Small lunch (1 cola, 1 slice of pizza, 1 small salmon sandwich) = 18.60 Fr.

Bakeries have a hard time - this one especially: You obviously can't make enough money with bread, so you offer a lot of additional things: hamburgers, cheesecakes, salads, etc. And forget about baking good bread. Anyone who wants a croissant has to know exactly: normal? Butter? Croissant? What you get for 1.60 below normal is a mini-Gipfeli, dry, tasteless. What I mean by a summit (the Coop next door too) is called a croissant here and costs 2.20 - The summit!
