Hemingway in Chur

The bar offers an impressive atmosphere that immediately invites you to linger. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly, so the service could be described as outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of drinks and there was something for every taste. The quality of the drinks was also excellent. The ambience is attractively designed and invites you to relax and enjoy. The prices are reasonable for the quality and service offered. Overall, my visit to this bar was a completely positive experience and I can definitely recommend it.

The most unfriendly and arrogant service I have ever encountered. Eyes rolled when I asked what teas were available and she had to get the menu. Other guests also noticed her unfriendly behavior.

Very very nice people. Specially the staff. Ideal for writing with a beer (I'm talking to all you Hemingway wannabes and dontwannabes as well). Drinks are easy, Not to posh. Try their Gins!

At the Chur city festival it was pleasant to enjoy the fine drinks with good and not too loud music.

A place that I can visit alone has a nice landlady and nice service staff you can also talk to the staff The ambience is very nice Sometimes they also have entertainment Entertainment

Patrik is the man in the right place. always friendly and willing to people. I visit this bar regularly and you can get great cocktails here in a very pleasant environment and also the ladies colleagues are always smiling and professional. fast and excellent service!

Worst service in Chur Old Town. I’ve been visiting Chur since 2018 and have been impressed with the restaurants/bars in this beautiful and historic city. Sadly, the service in Hemingway was very disappointing, which was a shame given its exceptional location in the Old City, with outdoor tables next to a fountain. We waited over 10 minutes to get any service and had to ask for the menu. No one came to take our orders while the next table was served by a staff. Apparently a different staff was assigned to our table and we had to ask for service to give our drink orders. No follow-ups made and when we were done, we had to again ask for service to settle our bill. We were charged for a wrong item and the waitress’ approach in discussing it was not friendly nor professional.

Simply great in all directions, great food, great atmosphere, nice service, just great star ****************************

Very friendly staff. Fine cocktails and the best coffee In the middle of the old town. Underground parking space next door. The price is right

On market day (Saturday morning) almost all places were still free. All around the neighboring coffee shops but almost all of them occupied. Why this? Now I know, the service still has considerable potential for improvement. Long wait until someone tries to take an order.

The best bar in Chur 😅 You immediately feel at home there.. friendly staff, great drinks.. and the ambience there is simply brilliant in the middle of the city next to the fountain...a visit to Chur without Hemingway is only half worth it... So all thumbs up... 😅😅😅

Switzerland, here you can spend 50 € or francs in one evening without eating and drinking very little. The prices are enormous and hardly affordable for a normal earner in other European countries. The ambience at Hemingway is interesting and beautiful. The service is very nice. Unfortunately I couldn't give a tip. She didn't take offense and still continued to be friendly.

The drinks are good, unfortunately the young lady's service wasn't as attentive as I would like when I drink cocktails "out of town". For me, this is part of the ambience and the product. Specifically, she was too busy cleaning up the terrace. When taking our order, it is advisable to interrupt the telephone conversation or take the Airpods out of your ear so that you get the feeling that you are being taken seriously.

Had a beer here, it was 7 euros 50cl but a great seat to people watch and three kinds of peanuts including wasabi (free). Do it!
