Hearty coffee in the old town of Rapperswil

When you walk past, you don't necessarily notice the café at first, but when you sit down you will find a good selection of delicious things on the menu. We had the soup of the day and an iced tea, toast and cappuccino. What's particularly great is that you notice how the things are freshly prepared and deliciously cooked. Everything tasted very good. The size of the cappuccino is rather small. Otherwise everything is very good.

Unfriendly for children! This morning I wanted to take a café and was not allowed to enter the café with the stroller. The service lady rejected me in a very unfriendly manner and told me that I was underclothed.

The small café on the back alley invites you to linger. A fine coffee and a delicious cake enriched my Sunday. Many newspapers and journals are available for reading. Friendly service!

You come, sit and a glass of water comes. Small, fine kitchen. My favorite is the Bircher muesli with whipped cream. And the whipped cream is just how I want it. Of course the brioche is also included

My destination is sometimes Rappi. Every time I “have to” be able to enjoy a fine coffee with a very fine fruit tart 😋. I won't leave the alley without visiting the café!

Amazing place. Not overcrowded, located in quiet street, in shadow - very nice to have a cup of coffee in the summer day. You can feel the mood of Rapperswil here. Visiting this cafe for the second time - recommend mocca Glace (ice cream) and sandwiches.

I prefer to go to Ricardos Cafe Engelplatz. 8, 8640 Rapperswil-Jona. In my opinion, the service is much friendlier and the food and coffee are much tastier.

My absolute favorite cafe! Whenever I treat myself to a quiet break from my lively family circle; Of course, Café Hintergass... Not only are the daily changing, fresh, extremely delicious soups legendary here, but the salads and sandwiches are also always fresh, pleasing to the eye and prepared with a lot of love. The ambience in this small but very nice café always allows me to completely immerse myself and relax. I can't agree with the mostly positive reviews. A very sparingly filled latte macchiato, served in a strange glass, a warm chocolate, served in a small coffee cup, neither of which tasted convincing, plus two brioches, which also taste better elsewhere. We paid CHF 19.80 for the whole thing! That's quite outrageous. We didn't find it comfortable either. The seating is too narrow, there are too many tables, so you have to move them if you want to sit on the bench. We definitely won't be visiting there again. There are better places nearby where I can get more and better things for less money.

Tiny coffee with charm. When I'm in Rapperswil, I usually stop here.

By chance we passed this café after our visit to the city at the weekend. We were rewarded with a wonderfully fresh (warm) sugar roll (brioche) and a sensational cappucino with foam on top. Rather small, but very cozy, very nice service! an absolute insider tip! We would like to come again!

Location is great, the building is cosy, but the coffee is nothing special. I have been waiting for years to have third wave coffee in Rapperswil - still nothing, coffee revolution is not here yet, you need to travel to Zurich for that :(

Mainly visited by regular customers and local residents. Small coffee shop with a warm atmosphere and equally friendly service. What is characteristic is its charming old town ambience, with outdoor seating in warm weather. The fresh, home-baked briosch, carrot bread, mini fruit tarts, world-class Birchermüesli and the daily changing soups will soon become legendary. Another trademark is the extremely large selection of current magazines and newspapers. After 5 visits at the latest, you will be greeted by name by the staff and know the preferences and special requests of the new regular customer by heart.

We were looking for a great coffee place and found this lovely coffee corner. It's little off the main tourist roads, but they serve a delicious ice coffee. I can't tell you about the food, but if you are looking for a refreshment, it's a good place to spend time. (It's a little on the pricey side, but still worthwhile). PS: cash ONLY (no cards accepted)

The best cafe on all of Lake Zurich. The best sandwiches and soups, fruit tarts, coffee, hot chocolate,,, mhhhh..... Also with soy milk... all of the best quality and such nice service. It is worth it .
