Ah, a culinary adventure with a difference! Imagine, we ventured into the realm of gastronomy twice. The first time, in the summer garden idyll, the food was quite passable - the dim sum held up well, but the main courses seemed to have completed a swimming course in the oil pool. On the second visit, oh dear, the kitchen seemed to have put a little more effort into it, but we were light years away from culinary fireworks. The rice? Well, let's say he could have used a little more spirit. But wait, it gets even “better”: the smell of the kitchen! Imagine a mist of eau de frye enveloped us, so intense that we quickly crossed dessert off the agenda. Back home, we all felt like we had done an honorable service at the frying basket. At prices like that? A culinary foul that has seen us for the last time. It's a shame, but our olfactory well-being thanks us. Farewell, scented veil restaurant, farewell!

Authentic excellent Chinese food, the cook was the first to bring Xia Long Bao (buns filled with chicken/meat and soup) to Zurich. Notably polite service. Unremarkable (not bad) ambience, small restaurant in an old building. Very difficult to park, typical idiotic anti-car ideology of Zurich city.

Dumplings were fantastic! Unfortunately, after 1 hour 15 minutes (we had just finished the main course) we were asked to vacate the table. Apparently this would be the case in the system. We didn't know anything about this - it wasn't communicated on the homepage when we made the reservation or in the confirmation email. When we tried to explain this we received a very aggressive response and were then ignored for half an hour. It's a shame, the dumplings were delicious. But service is also part of it.

fried shrimp in Tofu skin is very testy Fried rice noodle with beef in cream egg sauce is the best. Not the typical fried noodle you would expect but super nice. The ventilation system should definitely be improved or renewed.

Worst restaurant experience in a long time! The food, which was average at best, was served in a lackluster manner less than 10 minutes after ordering. During the meal, more guests, who had probably been promised a reservation, piled into the already full restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant was appropriate. Before we had actually finished eating, the table had already started being cleared and we were asked in all seriousness if we could please pay straight away, as other guests were already waiting. That was okay, at least insofar as we wanted to leave this loud and stuffy place as quickly as possible. Never again!

The food was super delicious and the price was okay for Swiss standards. A bottle of wine was also within reasonable price. The attention to detail was exceptional, one of our dishes had a fish carved out of red cabbage as decoration! The service was very friendly and also very attentive. I never had to reach for the bottle myself to refill it, the waitress was always there. The only detraction is the ambience, as for me there was some background music missing in the restaurant.

A great but somewhat noisy visit to one of the best Chinese restaurants in Zurich... great dim sum and delicious kung pao chicken... The majority of the meat comes from Switzerland... The lamb from New Zealand (as always) and the duck from Holland ... Which is also ok... The more from Switzerland and the better the quality, the better... Food is very salty not good as before. May be because the chef has gone to new shop in glattpark. The service of two ladies are horrible. Showing their impatience of our normal requests like changing dirty cups and add water. At the end of payments, the lady didn't even do her job to help to split the bills but showing long face bruntly and didn't even say thank you. We spent CHF300 for the lunch and didn't expect such bad service at all. Very disappointed. Now this restaurant will be removed from my favourite list.

Well known Chinese restaurant that I'm sorry to have missed for so long. Food and service both quite good given the simple menu. I did not order the dim sum though as it seemed way too expensive? 20 CHF for one order of 3 dumplings. It would take 100 per person to get full on that.

Hongxi is a very good Chinese restaurant with very friendly staff. We can recommend the tripe and the dim sum with soup. The main courses are also good, but in my opinion they are overshadowed by the starters and dim sum.

My favourite Chinese food in Zurich! Its not cheap but every penny is worth it. Everything is super delicious. The atmosphere is really nice. The staff are really friendly. You just need to be patient to get your food coz they are usually busy. We always enjoy the food every time we come here. Highly recommended!

Awesome, Chinese Kitchen with a Twist. Its reputation is not just for Show. Decent ambiente and not many seats. Got lucky and an early table w/o reservation. Quick and friendly serivce. The nenu has its distinct dishes. Not too many also a good selection. The Dim Sum come straight from Heaven, or so it seems as the broth pouring out of the freshly prepared dumpling has all the flavours. It comes with a price but its not hefty, so definitely a visit worth for the buck! Will go again, even only for some dumplings if needed.
