Restaurant enjoying a beautiful location near the lake. The fish was good but the accompaniments really disappointing, bland and cold. The staff was unilingual Swiss-German although rather friendly and professional.

We were with you yesterday at the Red Cross Restaurant... The cordonbleu was a disaster, tough meat and no veal as described on the menu! the breadcrumbs were a coating around the meat! 1 time & never eat with you again! It's a shame about the beautiful restaurant 🙃if you continue like this, fewer and fewer guests will eat at your place!!!!

The beds were a bit shabby, otherwise clean and ok. The restaurant was very good, fast service and a great location by the lake.

The location is great. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The seating is not so tight, you feel comfortable. It's a shame the food didn't live up to our expectations (walleye fillet with vegetables/walleye fillet with boiled potatoes). We found the price too high. A pity.

This hotel should be called “Hell Bells”…small old-fashioned room, (9m2 maximum) without shower, bathtub or toilet…just a mini hand basin…very poor quality bed…no chair because there is no space…a shower and a toilet for the entire first floor… very hot night of August 23… no air conditioning… impossible to sleep with window open with the bells located right next to it… they ring every 15 minutes and in addition tick off the hours (11 p.m. = 11 bells)… window closed, shutters and curtains closed, it doesn't change anything! We hear all the noises from the corridor, from the street, from the path that runs alongside the hotel... the door to the room (12) closes with difficulty. We only slept three or four hours... In France, a hotel like this would be closed by the authorities. We are cycling around the Bodensee, this hotel is the worst around the lake….run away!!! All this for 181€ (Swiss Francs/Euro exchange + bank charges..!). Warning sign: this is the only hotel that charges…before having seen the room!!! Strongly not recommended!!! Even the fire escape plan was drawn up by hand…

On summer evenings you will find a nice place to linger here. The terrace with its beautiful lighting is inviting, especially when it is dark. The food was good. We had a pizza and a schnitzel with fries. The pizza was very, very good, although a little salty. The service was friendly and prompt, even when there were a lot of people. That's how it should be.

Great restaurant with a spacious garden. The staff is very friendly and does a great job. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. The food was always super tasty.

The rooms are an imposition. Ancient, blazing heat in the room, with an outside temperature of 30 degrees. Very noisy. It's pointless to open the windows because the church bells are ringing right next door. And every quarter of an hour. And every time the time in hours rings on the hour. THIS ALL NIGHT. Unfortunately, only one to two hours of sleep was possible. Three other couples stayed overnight at the same time and were also exhausted from the "sleepover". Restaurant is okay and staff is very nice. Location of the hotel is nice. If only the church bells would rest at night.

I'm really trying not to be abusive. This location is simply a disgrace. Were not welcomed even though there were enough waiters and would-be bosses running around. After standing for a while and asking for a free spot, I was told I would be there soon...after a while we chose a spot ourselves. Waited in vain for 20 minutes for someone to come. Asked "waiter" again, again the answer I'll be right there...but in vain. We simply weren't served and got up and left. That didn't bother anyone and nobody noticed.

I ate there twice with about 10 people. The terrace close to the lake is large and very beautiful. You sit spaciously, which is very comfortable. The service is friendly and always helpful. We all always really enjoyed the food. I would be happy to go there again at any time.

I have never slept on such an uncomfortable bed. The mattress was old and badly worn. There was no sponge anymore, the springs were digging into the whole body. Poor quality bedding. Very poor breakfast. No sausage, no cheese. Burnt scrambled eggs. Nightmare. Prices skyrocketed but for such a room and such poor service, I think that I overpaid for this accommodation in a room without a bathroom..

Well, the Red Cross is a beautifully located older building and a hotel that is easy to reach given the transport connections. I would like to start with the staff and end again, because the be-all and end-all of gastronomy is people. Be it a guest or a host. The welcome is friendly and everything is explained well. Alternative parking options are also indicated. One might be tempted to expect to be asked about the need to be shown to rooms or helped with luggage. But I take it as a compliment that people still believe I can do that myself. I assume older people would have been asked if they wanted support. The room itself is a disappointment. Even with the price of one night, it would be possible to fully furnish the room. I really expected more and I'm surprised that this isn't a constant theme with the recessions. However, I may have received the only "budget room"? In any case. That will not do Cheapest furniture; No curtain in the bathroom, the toilet bowl is installed at an angle in the room so that you can rest your head on the sink. Spiders on the ceiling and the rustling ventilation device in the kitchen or cold store in front of the non-soundproofed window. You can sleep if you don't have restless sleep. It's not beautiful. The bed is not comfortable, the background noise is not loud, but it is constant. Despite the smoking ban, the hallway smells of cigarette smoke. The breakfast is not of a high standard, but you get everything you need and it is explained to you in a friendly and good manner (insofar as that is necessary). Warm egg dishes with or without meat are offered to you without being asked and are sumptuous. Here again people are crucial. Because the employees are without a doubt friendly and accommodating. The restaurant must be great, especially if it serves schnitzel and other dishes. However, it's not my place to judge because I haven't had the pleasure of it yet. As I said, the location is great, and if you only want to stay there for 1-2 nights, the Hotel Rotes Kreuz is certainly an option. Personally, I think it's a shame when it comes to the rooms. Maybe this could really be offered more in categories. Dormitory with shared bathroom for the low category and bike/motorcycle tourists who value a sheltered roof and cleanliness. Medium junior room with simple furnishings and just normal middle class and upper class offerings for rooms and “junior suites”. I don't know whether that will meet the demand in Arbon tourism, but I don't care. If the hotel were as impeccable as the friendliness of the staff and the location on Lake Constance, then the Red Cross would be “always crazy”.

Great hotel, great service, great breakfast. Rooms also good. Ideal location in the harbor. Great for cycling holidaymakers. Bikes can be safely stored.

We ate here today as a large group and were shocked. A few highlights: -When serving, poured salad dressing over a guest's back and the back of his chair and didn't say anything, even though you should have noticed it (at least) later. Result shirt and pants messed up!!! 🤬 - Cabbage stalk in salad, not edible!🤮 - Sauce burned in the pot and was still served, sorry but you can taste it!!!😠 - Espresso watery 😕 - identical order with very different portions, funny when the lady next to you (petite approx. 60kg) gets a significantly larger salad than you (male, 1.80m, 83kg) The location outside is fantastic and very stylish, only the toilets are clearly too small for the size, 2 urinals and a toilet for the men with around 200 guests outside and inside, long waiting times are guaranteed. The next time we are in Arbon we will definitely dine somewhere else! A pity

Only went to the restaurant. Has a really classy yet layed back lounge vibe. No reservation was needed, however there were a lot of tables that were reserved. The service was polite and rather fast. And the food was also enjoyable. Might be slightly pricey but considering the location and quality of the food. Its worth paying. Would definitely be going back there regularily.

The location is great and the staff is very friendly, but the rooms aren't that great and everything seems pretty old. Nevertheless, everything was clean and the breakfast was fine. The overnight stay was very expensive by German standards, but probably normal for Switzerland.

The hotel is located directly on the lake. The staff is super friendly and serves you very pleasantly. You feel very comfortable in the hotel. The terrace is uniquely huge and beautifully designed and beautifully lit in the evenings. The rooms are rather older and therefore rather small. However, nothing is missing in the room. Our pizza including salad and drink tasted excellent. Thank you for the great stay at your hotel.

We like to eat well - that wasn't the case here. Done - crispy pike perch for a whopping 24 francs, not seasoned. Spinach ok Overall not recommended for eating. 😗

The ice cream and salad were very tasty, the view was fantastic. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the condition before we could order. But after that it happened very quickly. There were a lot of guests in the beautiful garden restaurant and that's why it took longer.

Very bad restaurant. My partner got her food 20 minutes before me and when I complained she said I shouldn't pretend and be tolerant. The carpaccio for 22.- as a starter was good, but neither salt, pepper nor olive oil was provided. After serving, the waiter didn't show up and I had to organize the salt and pepper myself. The main course continued... For 35.50 you can expect well-fried perch fillets and not tough things fried to death. One piece tasted like it had been warmed up. The potatoes were regenerated and there was almost no almond butter on the plate, which made the entire meal seem completely dry. In the small hall we were forgotten by the staff. If I hadn't been so hungry and the waiter had come, I definitely wouldn't have eaten it. Canteen food is at least on par. We were 10 people. When no staff showed up again, one of us went to the cash register to pay. With coffee and a non-alcoholic drink I paid over 60 just for myself - the pizza was apparently good, but it only cost half as much. So for me from the region that was it.

Location is very nice. We had a reservation in the garden, arrived 20 minutes later and the owner insulted us and said that he had rearranged the tables and that we had to see for ourselves how we wanted to sit. So me and my colleagues will definitely not go there anymore. I have never experienced anything so unprofessional.

Basically ok, but I think the double room for 178.- is too expensive for what you get for it. You have to pay when you check in and we had reserved a table for dinner. Good location, food ok. It is not clear to us why pangasius crispy pancakes are considered “fish specialties” here. Something like that has no place on a map on Lake Constance anyway! Atmosphere wasn't all that good; One has the feeling that the staff is being exploited.

Price/performance of the ice cream balls is terrible. I was brought the wrong scoop of ice cream, which I don't like. The waiter was very unfriendly and told me three times not to act like that, it was also delicious. After the fourth no, he went back to the kitchen and replaced the ball - this was very rude. The general friendliness was very poor for the price you pay here and leaves a lot to be desired. Not recommended.

Wir haben sehr lange auf das Essen gewartet. 2.Dazu kommt, Nachdem wir, ausser meiner kleinen Tochter, das Essen bekommen haben sie nochmals so lange auf ihr Chicken Nuggets gewartet hat. Als Lösung haben wir ihr von unserem Essen gegeben, bis ihre gekommen ist, Nachdem unser Essen fertig war, hat sie ihr Essen bekommen. Sollte ja nicht sein. Für den Preis von ca 10 Franken auch etwas zu wenig. Bild unten Hier werden wir nie wieder essen.

Wenn es geht, würde ich Null Sterne geben. Wir warteten 1 Stunde auf unser Essen. Ein Kellner wurde auf uns agressiv und hat uns beleidigt. Mega teuer für das was sie haben.

Haben 1 Stunde vergeblich auf unser Essen gewartet.. Das Personal hat uns ignoriert und als wir zahlen wollten da nur die Hälfte unseres Essens ankam wurde der Kellner sehr frech und hat uns beleidigt.

Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen. Das Essen hervorragend Preis Leistung top das Personal sehr freundlich. Habe schon wieder reserviert und freue mich auf das Essen. 👍

Fischknusperli gibt es in 3 Varianten, wir haben die teuerste Variante mit Egli für 29.50 pro Person bestellt, dazu wird nur Brot und 2 (Fertig?-)Saucen serviert. Menge und Qualität der Fischknusperli sind ungenügend, die zusätzlich bestellte Portion Pommes war sehr klein. Bedienung eher ungepflegt, Schutzmasken nur halbbatzig getragen. Fazit: ungenügendes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis, da nützt auch die schöne Lage am See nichts.

Trotz schlechtem Wetter sehr gut besucht. Geniale Überdachung und Windschutz an den Seiten. Essen war sehr gut, freundliches Personal und super Lage direkt am Yachthafen Arbon.

Das Menue war super und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Super Service, sehr empfehlenswert.

Wir haben das Hotel und Restaurant und vor allem den tollen und freundlichen Service für eine Nacht und auch zum Frühstück sehr genossen. Preis (tief) / Leistung (hoch) stimmt. Sehr einfache Zimmer, aber super sauber mit allem was man braucht (ausser Duschmittel :-) Auf Durchreise mit dem Bike: Fahrradschuppen mit Batterielader. Essen auf der Terrasse nicht nur lecker sondern auch mit toller Aussicht nahe am See.

Perfekt um nach einem Spaziergang am See eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Sehr guter Rotwein! Personal auch echt freundlich. Allein die Lage direkt am See einfach Traumhaft.

Waren Heute zum Essen hier um das schöne Wetter zu geniessen. Das Servicepersonal sehr freundlich jedoch mussten wir über 1h auf unser Essen warten.
