A real restaurant as one would hope and wish for in the mountain regions. Here tradition is still given great attention. Friendly service.

Good fondue unfortunately the serving per person is a quite insufficient compared to most restaurants in Switzerland (I've lived in CH for over 25 years)They don't seem to realise that many of their customers have spent the day hiking the mountains prior to arriving. Otherwise nice atmosphere with friendly service.

Super nice staff, special mention for Jennifer and the night watchman as well as the cleaning lady. The room is spacious but it lacked a small fridge and a microwave...otherwise the location is great.

I spent my holiday 5 nights in Switzerland and I stayed in this hotel. The staff hotel & restaurant are very friendly. The place and view are really beautiful. The hotel is located at the end of the road so we can enjoy the place and the view is also very easy to explore all the destination attractions in Jungfrau Region because the bus station is at the front of the hotel and near to the gondola station to murren, Grindelwald and other destination in Jungfrau Region. I would like to come back there.

We spent 3 nights in a family room with 2 children. Well, contrary to several not very positive reviews, I find that the hotel does the job very well! It's not a 5-star palace so if you're looking for great luxury, go your way. On the other hand, the place is authentic, we eat very well prepared Swiss dishes (a Burgundian on December 31st, a delight!), the breakfast is simple but effective with fresh produce. The rooms correspond to the description, the wifi is there, the floor creaks a little... normal it's wood... The bus stops right outside, parking is included if you sleep on site and public transport is free in winter, practical because the departure of the Schiltorn gondola is 5 minutes away and Lauterbrunnen station 15 minutes to get on Wengen-Grindelwald. The hotel restaurant is family-run and I really found these people welcoming. The price-quality ratio seems quite correct to me.

Pizza, hamburgers and cream schnitzel are available all the time. Great! We also bought the house salad dressing. Mmmmmmmm. Will definitely come back. We were there for lunch today. The service was very friendly and also answered my questions in a friendly manner. Food was tasty, portions were large. Price performance is definitely right.

If you are expecting a perfect service and none wobbly tables go to lauterbrunnen and pay more for less and get a selfie stick so you fit in.

We went to eat at the restaurant near our campsite. The waitress was unfriendly, the table and chairs tilted and the food bad. I couldn't finish my pizza which was greasy and salty. Next time I'll think about buying sandwiches or taking my stove.

The location at the end of the Lauterbrunnen Valley is the only plus for this place. It is overpriced, mediocre and totally unfriendly.

We reached the restaurant around lunchtime. The terrace was empty except for one guest. We sat down at a table on the completely empty terrace that we liked and met our needs. We first wanted to have something to drink after a hike and didn't know whether we would eat anything. As soon as we said it we were immediately asked to look for another table. The waitress said the table was reserved for guests who wanted food. We then chose another table... in another restaurant. Didn't want to let the wait staff work overtime with the empty terrace :-) By the way: we only spend our money where we are welcomed as guests.

The only thing good about this is the apple strudel (and possibly the Black Forest cake if you like alcohol in your sweets) which isn’t worth enduring the terrible service that makes you feel like a intruder. We were charged for 20 francs for random things like butter for our free bread. Some of us who wanted water went to the restroom to fill our bottles instead of asking for the not free tap water. The veggies were frozen and the food was average at best. We were coming down with a cold (a few in our group) and it was 2:30 so we did not want to hop up to Murren or back to Lauterbrunnen for food. This was a mistake, as it would have been much quicker and undoubtfully a better culinary and kinder experience. Please believe the reviews for bad service and average food and do not patronize this place.
