The Eiger restaurant in Wengen BE is well located right next to the train station. The food is good and the service is good too, I don't have anything major to complain about.

I never write reviews, but I really wanted to complain with this one. Food: Mediocre at best and nothing really special. I don’t even think we got the correct food for one of our orders, but honestly it’s our first time here so we couldn’t really tell. Service: The service was abysmal and i think the owners and managers there are racist. We made a reservation the day prior and when we first went in, we weren’t greeted for a good 5 to 10 minutes. Then when a different party came after us, they were seated first and then we were seated. Food and drinks took a while, but that was understandable because it was pretty busy. Our waters never came and even when we asked multiple times they never gave it to us. For the check, there’s a guy that collects the payment and he was very kind and welcoming to the other tables, but when he got to us all he asked was if we’re done and collected our plates and ran off. Even when we tried to get his attention he wouldn’t look at us. Check also took a long time and they charged us for water which we never got so that also took more time to change. Overall, they’re pretty racist against asians and only friendly towards tables with larger parties.

My husband and I really enjoyed our meals at Eiger during our recent stay in Wengen. Maybe the service wasn't exactly warm on our first visit (especially compared to our experiences in Italy), but the food was very good. I LOVED the green salad (so simple but so good!) and the rosti and sweet potato curry soup were delicious as well. We ended up going back a second time for fondue and had a great experience, both with the food and the service. I would absolutely return.

This place is amazing. My husband and I spent a week in Wengen. I tried every Rosti in Wengen and a few in Lauterbraunnen. This was the best. My husband and I came here twice during our week. He had the steak one night and the spare ribs another night. He grew up on KC BBQ and said these are the best he has ever had. I tried them and they were incredible. This is a can’t miss place…truly!! Hurry up and go!

A nice place to eat when in Wengen. Right outside the train station, it's a good place to eat as soon as you enter or when about to leave Wengen. The number of waiters were less, so the eairing time was a bit more. So make sure you have the entire order ready when the waiter comes to your table. They'll bring out the dishes in the respective order. Dishes were great and I would definitely recommend the tomato soup with gin in it.

The food is pretty good, but the service attitude is not complimentary. As soon as we walked in, we waited for 5 minutes to be seated. We sat down and waited for another 5 minutes without looking at the menu. Finally, it was time to pay and we got the receipt. We were ready to pay and ran away. We waited for a while. Just came to check out. A good meal was ruined!

Colrado and Orlando (they are their real names) are amazing. Fantastic meal, wine and service. Honest, hard working and we love to come back time and time again. The veal Zurich style with rosti is the winner for me. Some vegetarian options but it is Switzerland, and you’ve got to love the local cheese, meat and potatoes. Highly recommend.

I think the name of the manager is Zorago/Zorato? Not sure if this is his name, but I'm sure it starts with a Z. He is the most indecent man I have never met. Doesn't know manners. Doesn't know how to speak to a woman. Spoke to my wife very rudely and it was clear that his parental pedigree wasn't that great. Not great schooling. Must have grown up in a low income family. Restaurants shouldn't hire such people. Guests are to be dealt with politely and respect. A gesture that doesn't reflect a good image of a restaurant. This is something that the restaurant owners must take up seriously.

Absolutely horrendous service. The waiter was eating when we got there and he looked clearly pissed he had to tend to us. He directed us to the only table that had not been cleaned, while the terrace was almost empty. Then he came back 5min later and simply asked us "what do you want to drink?" without even offering a menu or a drinks card. I would definitely not recommend and I am never stepping foot there again.

We walked in around 6pm to an empty restaurant, so we were worried the food wasn’t going to be good. Tap water is not free so we just got a drink instead. The apfelpunsch was so delicious and came with a piece of chocolate and some sugar on the side. We ordered the kalbfleisch geschnetzeltes and rösti mit raclettekäse. Both were very good and plated nicely. The rösti mit raclettekäse is a bit oily due to the melted cheese, so be aware of that. We ended our dinner with the chocolate soufflé and ice cream. It was very hot and freshly baked with a melted center. The berry sauce was hot. They included a fresh gooseberry on top. The service was kind and efficient. We did not wait too long for our food. The restaurant filled in by the time we left. You can see the mountains from the dining area which was nice. Overall, it was a good experience!

We had a great dining experience! They were very accommodating for our group of 13 and sat us outside with a great view. Our server (wish we got his name!) was amazing and funny. He even showed us the fresh mushrooms that he picked that morning in the Swiss Alps and were used in the risotto we ordered. The food was excellent as well and our entire group left very happy.

We went to eiger for dinner, and we asked for a table outside. The waiter told us that they were full. To which we told him that we just saw someone vacate the table. It was so odd that he didn't want us there. The manager came to see what was going on and showed us to our table. Even when he came to take our order, he was quite rude and wouldn't even look at us. He would pretend like he couldn't see us when we asked him for our bill either. It was very off putting! I didn't know if it was because we were the only brown people there, because we could see he was very kind and pleasant around others (most people were white), but he was a coloured person himself, so I wasn't sure why he would behave that way! Either ways, I would stay clear of this restaurant...I would rather go to bernerhof instead where the staff is kind and the food is better. If you are in the hospitality business the least you could do is ensure your staff is hospitable!👎

This restaurant deserves a much higher review than it has. The food here has been far superior to the other restaurants in Wengen that have a higher rating. The market salad, raclette and roast chicken were all delicious. The food came in good time but service was a little slower than perhaps those coming from cities would expect (as only a few staff work here).
